umm...the same way a 1000-ton ship doesn't sink....size doesn't matter, it's the density, and just like humans, dogs have a density lower than water's

It does not clog if you clean the drain and filter on a regular basis. I When she is swimming a lot, I clean the drains every evening and the filter 2x a week instead of once.

I discussed that with my vet who owns Newfies, and he said she will be fine. I always hose her down with fresh water after a swim. She has been swimming for almost 3 years now, and her coat is beautiful, rich colors and shiny. She gets lost of compliments wherever we go for walks. She loves all the attention she gets.
