Well i dont really mean you. Like maybe a little but not really. Allot of drummers do stick tricks and try to make themselves look good while the music comes second. A few of my good friends suck at drums but they are in bands because they distract people with drum tricks and looking cool. Its a little upsetting that very few people care about the music and just want a chance to show off.

@Saven44 thanks for the reply and the honesty man, and I totally identify with what you mean. Music is first in my books, the intensity and body movement stems from that. So any tricks or anything you'd think is showboating, I tend to draw those from the groove of the tune. Also if I do stick tricks, most of the time, I don't plan them or even notice doing them. I'm not in my head thinking "okay, now I'm gunna do a sweet stick twirl and then..." I just play, and let whatever happens, happen.

thats a pretty gross generalization... you either have no idea what you're talking about in regards to drums or you are just a moron. this guy is probably one of the very few drum covers ive seen on youtube of this particular song that is almost 100%. not to mention he has groove and FEEL to boot.
