  • do they smell?

  • i love guinea pigs noises

  • Sorry, but your guinea isn't always gonna smell like strawberries and champagne,, they live In there own droppings for petes sake. Once a week is wayyyy to much. The soap can dry out your guineas skin, and the water can cause fatal diseases like pneumonia, If it's cold. One In 2 monthes I'n the winter, once a month I'n the summer

  • i would like to rename this video to "stare at my cleavage"

  • i just wanted to know...how many times does a guinea pig should take a bath? cus i do dat whenever they smell awful..once a week? is it ok...hmm kinda worried..thanks :)

  • I um.. lovee your um.. guinea pig.. its umm. so uh. cute um..

  • for some reason i thought it said beating a guinea pig.

  • is their something expert village doesn't do?!

  • NEVER bath your guinea pig! They have a special skin, and you destroy it with every bath.Guinea gips cleain themselfs!

  • @TheJessi1993 I am sorry you are wrong. If you own a guinea pig no offense but I feel bad for him/her. Guinea pigs do need to be bathed. Guinea pigs can't reach the top of their back. That gets dirty to. Guinea pigs don't always get all the dirt. Plus guinea pigs can't clean off sticky things that get on their fur from foods and guinea pigs do intend to accidently sit in their own urine causing that part of their body to be yellow. They can't clean that off. You do need to bathe a guinea pig.

  • lol in 0.50 it looked like the guinea pig kicked you!

  • excuse me I really need you guysssss help !!! one of my guinea pig which is female have dry small wound on it's body I already heard of mites and I already took it to the vet, and it got injected but now it still have some wounds is it because of fighting? or because of ticks(cause I haven't bath her)? or my is it the wrong injection she got? I really" need some help if can, please give me some advice to make her less wounded
  • @BEARISMFASHION u shuld give it a bath keep it in a dif cage if nothing better happens like it dosnt heal then take it to the vets

  • @ThePonypeople

In our country there's no shampoo for little animals

the pet shampoo that are available in stores is dog and cat shampoo

what did you used to bath your guinea pig?

is baby shampoo can be use to bath them?

  • In fact, you are not supposed to bathe the guinea pig! There is no such "how to" tutorial, since it is a fact that guinea pigs don't like water. What people don't realize is when the guinea pigs try to escape the sink, or wherever you bathe it, it is just simply because they don't like the water that surrounds them. But that is, unfortunately, not obvious to any stupid man brought up in this society where you get tought how to get into a cleaning frenzy.

  • Uh... They need to be bathed at least once a month.... > 3 >

  • They don't need it at all. You're wrong like all other guinea pig owners who think you actually bathe such animal. You don't! It's cruel, and I am pissed, sick and tired of stupid people having these defendless animals. It's unconscious animal cruelty!

  • @NordicAssKickR

I'm sorry. Being stuck in a cage, sleeping in your own crap. I'm sure you'd like to be bathed every so often. It's not animal cruelty if your stopping infections. My guinea pig actually likes baths! He's a long hair and I have a short hair too, the short hair isn't so appreciative of bathes. But, everything I read told me to bathe them. So, I'm sticking with the like 50 things I read. All I really do is rinse all the crud off them and get the dirt from between their toes

  • @tHeNiGhTmArE312, infections? What kind of infections? Any ideas, huh?

Well, I can agree with what you say about being stuck in a cage, sleeping in your own crap, but that is more the way you decide to treat this animal. I've made better circumstances for my guinea pigs at this point than using the traditional way.

But, seriously. Let's get this straight. Guinea pigs are more natural creatures than human beings. They didn't invent the soap. They don't have the same consciousness.

  • @NordicAssKickR

Well. These are domesticated. Not in the wild. They don't sleep in their own urine and crap in the wild. My guinea pigs are in and out of the water. I don't keep them in there long! It's like when you have a rabbit. You give a rabbit a bath as well, right?

I don't need some one on youtube who claims they know everything about guinea pigs telling me not to bathe my guinea pigs.

  • @tHeNiGhTmArE312, I'd rather tell you that I know everything about how we people mistakenly and subconsciously mistreat our pets at times. It is quite chocking if you are aware of it.

You know, you could mention any kind of animal of your choice. The thing, the matter, and the fact will always be that we people better stop transferring our very own ideas to these innocent defendless animals. Alright? Literally and generally.

  • @NordicAssKickR

You're acting like I'm throwing them against the wall or something!! Jesus Christ!

I'll take care of my pets the way I WANT TO! Okay?! I don't want them to have any foot or genetal infections! I want them to live a long healthy life!

  • @tHeNiGhTmArE312, so, they don't bother, and they don't care. Of course I'd like to take a shower every day, because I wouldn't smell bad or anything, but a guinea pig don't think that way. It is an innocent creature exported from the nature. Just because we human beings do the way we do, we are not supposed to force other creatures under our very circumstances and habits.

You may think your guinea pig like bathing, but you really don't know! It doesn't understand, what you are doing to it.

  • @NordicAssKickR

I don't bathe them everyday. Once a month to get the dirt off of them. That's all.

  • @tHeNiGhTmArE312, only when it gets scared. And when it gets scared, you don't understand its reaction. I bet it tries to flee here and there when you bathe it, but gives up, because it is afraid. I've studied these cute creatures for years. I know how, when, and why they react on things. They are sensitive little animals. Believe me... They come from jungles around South America, and they live deep inside them where there's hardly any water. I hope it is a clue to you. They don't bathe.

  • HI UMM I HAVE DA SAME GUINEA PIG N I HAVE TO TAKE HIM A BATH LIKE EVERY MONTH BEACOUSE HIS WITH AND ON HIS BUTT HE HAS YELLOW ( PEE) N IT DOESNT COME OFF SOME WHAT SHOULD I DO???

  • you shouldnt bath the guinea pig they can clean by there self

  • @1a2n34 They DO need to be bathed but in a suitable bathing tub with the right temperature and water depth up to their feet. ALL animals need to be washed otherwise they'll stink! And they could be sick, catch parasites. It's a method to get rid of any skin infections. So saying a guinea pig should never be washed is just ignorant. Them cleaning themselves is a natural instinct but it doesn't really keep them healthy. I bath guinea pigs for my grooming session at college.

  • @1a2n34

I'm sorry. Being stuck in a cage, sleeping in your own bodily waste. I'm sure you'd like to be bathed every once in a while.

I spot clean every day, clean them out twice a week, use cleaning wipes and they still get pretty filthy and have to be bathed every few months.

They do clean themselves, that is true but their grease glan and underneath of their body tends to get very dirty because it's constantly on the ground and they just can't lick that kind of stuff clean.

  • @RatchetClankFan1996, what are you talking about?

  • My girlfriend bathes her 3 guineas every month or so, because they piss on each other when they don't want to be annoyed anymore. It's sorta funny, but gross. She uses baby shampoo in the tub, or sink with warm water, and then rings them out, placing them in a towel, and then blow dry's them using warm, not hot. you can tell if they didn't get dry enough, they shiver while holding them.
