The slow tempos and overall downcast feel is making it hard to get through, but I am still making up my mind. Starts off with 3 downers before the single. Lots of woodwinds. Reminder had variety. This feels like she tried too hard to distance herself from 1234.

Nice review, guys. Picked this one up on vinyl a few weeks ago. I haven't listened to it as much as I would like, but I do enjoy it. Not one of my absolute favourites of 2011, but definitely like it.
YES!!!! The Circle Married The Line was my favorite! I agree with Tom's point as well. There were only a couple of tracks that I loved, but none of them were horrible.
Definitely my album of the year, but no Anti-Pioneer? That one's sublime, some of her neatest songwriting too.

Great review guys. you really hit the nail on the head. I love the album. The vocal harmonies in Cicadas and Gulls just kill me.
