This fight should have gone much easier for Lacuna,surprisingly blatant mistakes for a vet Dominator player.

Firstly- Bring 8 Greens 8 Oranges and 4 Breaks and you'r good. In the early part of the fight use Oranges 4 in a row, with your Patron Armor it'd put your Energy/Smash resist at 70%'ish

Secondly- You can see how pointless it was trying to kill the Brute through PS, better to spam confuse and burn his breaks while focusing on kiting. Holds and damage is pointless through PS.

Dont need oranges against energy attacks with my shield. And spamming confuse in duels? OK. Even though I probably wouldnt have killed the brute through PS, its best to keep pressure no matter what, and spamming holds is better than confuse, because I can hold through the T9 powers.

Yes- it's good to try to "Hold" them through the T9, however you'r not going to kill them. This is shown in your duel where you only managed to kill you opponent when the Tier 9 crashed. Spamming Confuse would have run through their BFs quicker as they would not have been able to attack you unless they burn it.

Pressure play is important in pvp but sometimes it pays to take a more cerebral approach.

But confuse does nothing in duels, they can simply target you through it, since no one else is around. It's not particularly easy, it takes patience because usually you have to click the target instead of tab, but it can be done, and I knew this brute had the skill to do it.

Sure I could have just done nothing but spam my hold, but wheres the fun in that? Trust me, holds were better in this situation. I have held people through T9 with BFs up on top of it.

Actually that's wrong. The way confuse is, if it's affecting you- you cannot target anyone of the opposing team period.

Yea sure you can bounce around and chip slowly away at their health while trying to hold them. I, however, prefer to just confuse them- it's simple, they either burn BFs to try to kill me or I'll wait for the crash and promptly 1 shot them there with a Blaze.

I dont mind showing you how Confuse works on either Pinnacle or Virtue.

Unless they changed it in the past year when I quit playing the game, you can still target your enemies. You just have to click the enemy target - tab targetting wont work. They will show up blue, a friendly target, but you will be able to attack them. And once you do attack, your target switches. But who knows, who really fucking cares, I won the duel my way. You can spam confuse in duels, I'll spamm(ed) holds.

Confuse was quite recently changed that you can only harm your teammates. Attacking anyone else is done in vain.

Look, regardless, the Dom can hold the Brute through the T9. This forces them to waist BFs throughout the match. Also, to be fair, Confuse is a far slower animation *while* being less effective (if not ineffective, which it would've been). Lacuna's strat was far better than what you've said, which is why they're known and were dominant, and no one knows who you are. =D

Too bad the Brute shreaded your face until you burned 10 heals. You went from full to 10% in less then one second, it took you ten times longer to dent his health. If he had the right inspirations this fight would have been completely different.

having 3 rows of healing inspirations isnt too attracting if your trying to show how skillfull you are..as it looked the em barely used or didnt use any inspirs at all seeing how he just took your hold ....

Sorry, but inspirs are part of the game. I brought 12 greens, 8 BFs, the brute most likely brought 18 BFs, 2 greens, or some other variety. Skill was I made the brute waste all the BFs and got kills in before I ran out of inspirs. Trust me, the brute as using inspirs, mostly all BFs, just for some reason, you didnt see that.

2 things.. What do you have for mez resist and for end drain. I have a Em/elec and I'm not saying I could beat you or anything cuz I can see your pretty good. But I've fought your build type before. through my experiences he should of been able to burn through your BFs alot faster then he did. Also with the rate your spaming blasts and elecs ability to end drain. You never relly get to low in end. How are you doing it? I didin't se blues in your insp.

I have end redux in TK, and I didnt use that much in the fight, since the T9 prevents repel. I also have numina and miracle, so my end recov is buffed up a lot. Almost all of the IO sets in the attacks and mez abilities offer endurance reduction in them, so not only do I have extra end recov, all my abilities are costing less end than usual. As for mez resist, its domination, mag 6 or so protection, and the brute can only get me to use BFs with vanguard up, otherwise its difficult with permadom

I C... makes sense. I was thinking of putting TP in my build instead of aid self. Just keeping alot of greens on me. For TKers like you and rad debuffers. Or even phase. With invis and phase I could shed some of the anchor debuffs. I belive it can head TK as well. Depending on the players perception and the TK range.

That brute just dident know what he was doing, and theirs nothing wrong with popping, I keep a few greens, blues, yellows, and bfs to keep me in the fight, nothing wrong with that, becuz when Power Surge crashes I have no way to recover sept insps, I think its a skill to know when is the perfect time to pop becuz you only get so many

I agree with both of your points, if you aren't used to fighting a Dominator in arena, and if you can't manage your insps you're toast. Bringing and managing the right inspirations are just half the battle.

Was a good movie. was tough to watch a fellow EM/ELA brute lost tho (em/ela was my favorite build in CoX). 5 stars as always. was a good track u used here not sure if I liked the metal music you normally use tho.

Yes, because going against a mez class when you have no mez protection when you are not allowed to pop BFs = skill.

BF's are fine. I'm talken about the load of greens you were spamming. GG though. If you wanna try and fight someone who is actually good and you have any toons on guardian or feel like X-fering. Look up @Takron and we'll see how much the greens help.

I'm sorry but you're truly ignorant of Arena PVP. In all Arena tournaments (GvG, Arena nights on Test, etc) all insps are allowed (except maybe the super BFs but lacuna didnt use those)

I can't say I fully disagree with you because when you stock up on greens, yeah it is kind of lame. But it just depends on whatever floats your boat. I personally go in with bf's and maybe some blues on my dom. Good match by the way. And nice build.
