  • Very nice tutorials. I ve been practicing karate and TKD for years and it s quit difficult for me to relax the hand after punching. Ithe hardest thing is the focus on relaxing the hand

  • master wong is it still back stance or forward stance in moving forward phase? thanks a lot..im starting to practice for 3 days already and it really help me when it comes to my health..

  • Why dont you mention who your teacher is?

  • @tgcreateable My teacher is... Yuen Kay San

  • thank you master wong.

  • There seem to be a trend here. First, it was ChosonNinja teaching free Ninja skills. Now this. And plus a whole bunch of other martial arts videos from China.

I must said, I like the free lessons here. :D

  • Thank you Master Wong, these lessons have been very helpful to me.

On reply to Zouhir5, it is funny that you mentioned that Bruce lee Quote, but did you know Bruce Lee's master was Ip Man? Who taught him Wing Chun?? Everything Bruce Lee learnt after that he based it on Wing Chun, and he said that Wing Chun was the core of his martial arts knowledge.

  • thanks man for all your video clip.... you are the best Master Wong ...

  • thank you for posting these free videos, they're very helpful :)

  • I am confused some times he says "70-30" and some times he says no weight at all on the front leg. Which one is it? I was thought to have 100% on my back leg and no weight on my front leg. That way I could move fast forward and also kick very fast. But my balanse was rely bad because I stand on one leg so if somebody would have push me or kick me I would land on my head on the hard ground.

  • angle between "forwardhand" and "backfootfoot" 30°. bend the "backknee" till the "forwardknee" is extended nearly 100%. Then do the kicks. your stance should be balanced now. backfoot carrys 100% of your weight. to move forward do the 70-30

i hope i helped you with my bad english ;-)

  • Have most of your body weight on your back leg, and try to not have any body weight on your front leg, only some to keep your leg down and your body stable

  • thats y he introduces the very first excercise to strenghten the legs for balance..

  • @80KungFu

Ok, 70-30 is probably what you want just because it is a good medium between your kicks and balance. Like you said too much weight will make you lose balance, it also might help if you check your stance. Too small and you will lose balance, too wide and you cannot kick! Getit just right and you will be a bad-ass! haha but seriously 70-30 is your best bet atleast for me it works veeery well! So give it a go!!

  • do you push yourself forward with the 70% foot to generate the punching power?

  • Yes

  • Thanks Master Wong! I love your wing chun system, I'll order you're dvd soon.

  • yea most of Wing chun move the power is depending on whole body huh?

  • This makes me understand Wing chun! thanks!

  • bruce lee : " my style is to have no style"

  • @zouhir5 ..."You can call it the art of fighting without fighting." =D

  • @zouhir5

This is achieved by learning many styles. Having no style is what Jeet Kwan Do is all about, though many people think Jeet Kwan Do is a fighting style itself. lol. Good quote.

  • thanks shifu

  • I can see where JKD got most of its influence from. cool

  • yip man actually taught Bruce Lee.

at one point Bruce even stood outside of the door 1 hour before class and told everybody that yip was sick and the lesson was canceled. Then he went inside and told yip man that he was the only loyal student.

  • No it was under Wong Sheung Leung when he did that little trick...Although Bruce Lee was officially student of Yip Man, it was Wong Sheung Leun, a senior student of Yip Man that time, who taught him lesson in Wing Chun.

  • thanks for the info ^.^

  • one time bruce lee got beaten in a street fight so he wanted to learn a type of martial art that was pratical

1 that u can use in an actual fight

so he turned to wing chun

  • his mum and dad enroled him into the wing chun school, because they were scared he would get hurt because he beat the hell out of a top tri-ad, they knew they might b after him

  • he already knew wing chun when he fucked that dude up, this was when he was 18, he learned wing chun at the age of 13

  • These lessons are great. Trying to get my gf into this style since its the most nonsense. (i want her safe :P)

  • uhhh a girl made wing chun O_o

  • yea A Girl..But Who is it?

  • Thanks once again, master ^^
