The "is this band Christian" argument is getting really old. Some bands don't classify themselves specifically as "Christian" but they play at Christian events and churches. These are called "crossover bands" and they tend to not speak specifically about Christ or Christianity, but speak in general terms to appeal to a larger audience.
To everyone making a deal out of them being a Christian band, just because they're on Tooth & Nail doesn't meant they're Christian. As a matter of fact, the band has stated specifically that they do not consider themselves a "Christian" band because that would mean that they all had the same faith and several of the members are not Christian.
@EternityMachine Not trying to add to the argument, but even Steven Curtis Chapman (who is definitely christian) tours and records with non-christian people. The band could technically be christian. But you are correct in that they have never stated this.

For some odd reason theres a person who ALWAYS thinks the lead singer of any band is whiny, if you think about it though, the only way you could say that for sure is watching them live, because for videos, they always add the edited clarified version of a song.

People need to understand that you can be a Christian band without having Jesus and God in your lyrics. I'm born Christian, but I hate religion; I'm agnostic and boarderline athiest, but I love The Classic Crime and Thousand Foot Krutch, two "Christian" bands. They're Christian by belief and ideology, not by lyrical symbol.

i think ive read in blogs that either 3/5 or 2/5 of the members are actually christians. in my opinion matt says what he says about the band's christianess so the many hard core (not always in a good way) christians cant rip on them because they arent "christian enough", or they dont say Jesus in their songs, etc. cause its not what they claim to be. matt's faith is reflected in some songs, but theyre just guys that want to make good music

The Classic Crime is a Christian rock band. They are played on TVU which is a Christian TV Music Channel that plays only Christian rock kinda like a version of MTV back in the 80s when they actually used to play real music. Skip i'm not 100% but he believes in God, and Robbie and Alan are non christian, but they don't mind the whole concept of God. The band writes for secular audience even though some of their songs are christian undertones. But Matt himself has said that TCC isn't a christian. But theirs lyrics are positive.

Everybody would love to be like Anberlin, top of the alternative charts, touring with everyone from The Academy Is and Story of the Year to Alice and Chains. However, most guys get stuck playing with the other little guys within their own genres, in this case Christian rock and pop-punk/emo.
@GUwinster I'd look at it this way. Yes, they go where the money is, but these guys are probably Christians and I don't think they mind being called a Christian band. After all, they also quote Bible verses in their interviews

@bbdog141414 @fireonu You know that God and Allah are the same person... Christianity and Islam praise the same God, same with Judaism. The main difference is Christ, and whether or not he is the son of God, or just another prophet.

@KKEJ24 It's not a lie. Allah is the Arabic translation of God. I know this because my stepfather is Egyptian and muslim. He speaks fluent arabic. &btw Buddha isn't a god at all. Buddhism doesn't follow a God. It's simply a way of life. Personally, I believe in christianity, but not religion. I believe in a relationship with my daddy and whatever his word states. nothing more.

People need to understand that you can be a Christian band without having Jesus and God in your lyrics. I'm born Christian, but I hate religion; I'm agnostic and boarderline athiest, but I love The Classic Crime and Thousand Foot Krutch, two "Christian" bands. They're Christian by belief and ideology, not by lyrical symbol.

they may not be a full christian band and i can respect that but i love the lyrics to their songs their songs relate so much to christianit and have christian meanings and they are realy talented and awesome and to the ones who are christians in the band rock on to the ones who arent rock on as well!

to those talking about the "christianess" of TCC:
i think ive read in blogs that either 3/5 or 2/5 of the members are actually christians. in my opinion matt says what he says about the band's christianess so the many hard core (not always in a good way) christians cant rip on them because they arent "christian enough", or they dont say Jesus in their songs, etc. cause its not what they claim to be. matt's faith is reflected in some songs, but theyre just guys that want to make good music

@thebartja I think if they are honest about what they want to get across, there should be no issue on beliefs. like look at switchfoot and As I Lay Dying, they aren't preaching, but spreading love through the lyrics.

The Classic Crime is a Christian rock band. They are played on TVU which is a Christian TV Music Channel that plays only Christian rock kinda like a version of MTV back in the 80s when they actually used to play real music. Hard to believe that isnt it?LOL I'm a Christian, and yeah, I have to pay all my bills and eat to stay alive just like non-Christians do, so not a big deal that they admit that they play shows to earn money. also i'd like to add, naw they really aren't a christian band. Matt, Justin, are christians. Skip i'm not 100% but he believes in God, and Robbie and Alan are non christian, but they don't mind the whole concept of God. The band writes for secular audience even though some of their songs are christian undertones. But Matt himself has said that TCC isn't a christian. But theirs lyrics are positive.

@skilletdrummer12 As messed up as this sounds Matt has said himself on their own website forum that the reason why they've been playing at Christian concerts is that they need the money. These gigs pay alot and its money the band needs to play their bills, I'm glad that their a truthful band and dont beat around the bush.

Everybody would love to be like Anberlin, top of the alternative charts, touring with everyone from The Academy Is and Story of the Year to Alice and Chains. However, most guys get stuck playing with the other little guys within their own genres, in this case Christian rock and pop-punk/emo.

@GUwinster I'd look at it this way. Yes, they go where the money is, but these guys are probably Christians and I don't think they mind being called a Christian band. After all, they also quote Bible verses in their interviews
