  • dude i bet your scope ismall off sight now you were banging it around

  • Great video, straight to the point with no ranting. Can you tell us how the barrel is fixed to the receiver, is it threaded and doweled or something else. Can you tell us what sort of accuracy you get in terms of group size ? Thanks in advance

  • Very good video. Clear and concise. I am ashamed to say I have never had my 597 apart this far, it was so dirty and gritty. I was able to follow along and do a proper job of it. I forgot to release my slide before removing the trigger assembly and had the slide lock assembly pop out. I was able to get it put back together no problem.

Thank you for taking the time to share.

  • @EJRhees Glad to here it helped, and i have had the same thing happen to me before although i lost the spring for the slide lock and had to run the rifle without a slide lock untill i could get a replacement

  • yea i was cleaning my 597 and striped it all the way down oiled it and it took me 3 hours to get it back 2 gather that damn thing had me pissed i have big fingers 2 so that dident help

  • would you know how to fix the spring mechanism that holds the magazine in place. I dont know if my spring is just not in the right spot or if its broke. I appreciate the video on disassembling. Helped me alot

  • @johnjayl1 check my vids, uploading a vid that might help

  • 597 is a great 22!! i was wondering how tight the takedown bolts should be??

  • @IrNbRtRtWn4444 in my experiance not to tight just snug should be enough

  • Thanks for the video, I watched your video and very easly took apart my 597 and put it back togethor without a hitch.

    Very good thanks

  • @TheEddderz unfoftunatly it dose not come with any tools but all you need is a 1/8" hex and a 3/32" hex for dissasembly

  • Nice video; I like how clear you were about backing off on the guide rod screws and also with your description of reinserting the springs. Thanks again!

  • @Borfolomew Thanks bro, and that is the most important thing to remember on this rifle.

  • I just got a brand new one for my birthday. I wanted to clean it before I shot it but when it came to taking the guide rods out I could only get one to come out from cycling the bolt. I tried everything I could think of to get the other one out but it feels almost like it is pressed in there. Any ideas to get it out?

  • @Themillerer Sorry for taking so long for response but i have never had that problem before the only thing i can think of is spray some penatrant on it and if you can get some small pliers in thier with some rubber or cloth on the teath to wiggle it out and if that dosn't work i suggest to take it to a gun smith or send it back to remington they should fix it for free just call them and ask if they can send you a shipping label to send it in.

  • good video man thanks very helpful!

  • how often should you clean it ive heard every other time you shoot it and every 1000 rounds.

  • @fredburger130 I like to clean it after every time i shoot and wont go over 500 rounds without cleaning if using cci. If using a corrosive ammo like aguila you must clean every time as soon as possible and wouldn't go over 200 rounds I once had one not fully chamber after about 230 rounds of aguila and blew the extractor right off of the bolt. Well hope this helps

  • great video thanks!

  • @shaggi55 No problem bro just trying to do my part and give somthing back to the comunity

  • @elpelon96 well keep it up man!
