awesome video man. i gota question. how much allowance do service rig hands get for food, lodging, gas etc. is it 140 non camp and 50 in camp like on drill rigs?
@lomparti Again it all depends on where about are you planning on moving too and where the rig you get on end up working. Most rigs work an 8 - 12 hr day, 1.5X hrly wage after 8 hrs. And lots have shift that are 10 days on and 4 days off, some definitely go 21 or more straight but thats not really aloud anymore so two weeks is pretty standard also. Most places shut down for spring break up due to road bands but norther albera is mostly pad work and doesn't shut down all year.
@lanman09 i wanna work minimum 12 hrs a day. are 8 hour days common? so overall would you say service rig work is lighter and a little less paying compared to drilling rig work? i keep flip flopping between the 2 but i think ill start out on service rig and go from there. are there any service companies that you know of that work long hours? is nisku or red deer headquarters for the service companies?
@lomparti Well i personally would say that the service rigs are harder then the drilling rigs but its all a preference and how the crew you work with is. Drillers can make it a really tough or easy job lol... but ya service rigs do get paid usually a few dollars less. Tons of companies in nisku, precision drilling/ well servicing, savanna, ensign, nabors and concord is father north. Red deer/sylvan lake has CWC i think. Lots of choices...hope this helps. good luck
@lomparti Work 365 day if you want lol. For your truck, most companies have crew trucks supplied for you but lots of drillers and rig managers choose to run there own truck and get paid for it.
ya when i just started rigging i was on precision 307, piece ah shit lol within a week our whole crew quit n went to work for savanna energy ( great plains got bought out)
precision down here ( southern saskatchewan )got shut down hard! ever1 hates em lol. no wonder the gov't had to bail them out
I was just wondering if you knew the depths and which size of rig you need for each? I'm guessing you started rigging not long ago. What are you some noob ruffneck?
landen manson is a fag i was gonna beat the hell out of that guy....lol just kidding he is cool shit, ive known him since grade 8. H>E>B> nigga!!!. he works for source now rippin tools.,lol
no man prince albert worked around nabors for a short while but im heading out on the rig with trailblazer tho in teh nxt couple weeks up by christina lake pretty cool man i miss it
damn..that is some tiny stuff. Want to see what real men look like when they are working? I'm a derrick man on a big Patterson triple. Try that sometime. This is too funny.
