@datzfast for $10 you will have enough glue for more wings than you might build. And that is half the price of small roll of monokote. How far do you want to push this? If you find a cheaper glue that will hold as well over time please post.My goal is to help others find very cheap alternatives so the money is used for motors, esc's, etc, not on some way overpriced covering material...
@erh7771 If you do it right, there actually almost be very minimal need for stretching.A lot of people over stretch the covering which ends up in warping or melting the foam. Also super stretched covering will be less resilient and will rip a lot easier on dry grass landings or such.
@LafayetteN11 Hi can you help me we dont have a dollar store were i live. Could you tell me what it is made of . Looks great hope to find some thanks dave
@LafayetteN11 Great, so far it is holding and I could not justify spending 18 times more for the same results, hope it helps you people out there! Keep posting you results.
Just like you would using a normal covering film. I use this to cover some of my epp slope gliders, which creates a super slick surface, cutting drag, and it protects the aircraft big time. The weight penalty is none. People always try and save a gram or two, but a slick aerodynamic surface will create less drag, , and more than compensate for the little wieght added, which is insignificant.
Still holdingh as of today! :-)

@erh7771 Just used 3M77, applied the film and smoothed it out with a Popsicle stick.

Is the dollar covering holding up after a few months?
leaktech1 1 year ago
@leaktech1 Seems to hold just fine, covered some epp wing to protect them and make them real slick, no problems.
