  • The Cave of Bad Dreams is less creepy in the PS2 version. The cave is brighter, and colored peppermint candy pink. There are no Lums to collect there either.

  • looking at all these other versions I can see the PS version I played as a kid and am replaying now was really stripped down... They did well with the hardware they had though :)

  • Wow this verison was actually more gracious. They gave you a pillar to stand on! XD

  • Am i the only one who was scared of this map (as a kid) ?

  • He should've been in Smash Brothers... He would've kicked so much ass!

  • Did anyone ever get all the lums? What happened afterwards?

  • This was much too scary for me when I was young. I hated that freak with his one eye!

  • @emocub16 no n64 version is harder to control

for me the keyboard is much easyer because the n64 controller is sometimes pretty annoying with riding the marshes and riding the shell

  • so different then the ps1 version

  • You know those things you fight at the first yellow pyramid?

If they touch you they eat you!

  • When I was younger, I ALWAYS got scared of that mouth cam...

  • Ah, nostalgia! It was sooo long ago when I completed that game.

Those hands were the creepiest things about the level, when I was younger.

  • the hands give me nightmares xD

  • Those grabby hands used to be the things of my nightmares.

  • NOPE.JPG.AVI.PNG.FLV.TIFF.PSD.EXE.GIF

  • Hmm, the playstation version of this level is rather... bleh.

  • This level is:

    1) Fukcin' creepy

    2) Fuckin' hard

    3) Fuckin' creepy (because it really is)

  • @emocub16 really?

for me its easy to play with keyboard

  • This is Rayman Rev., basically. Well, the other way round

  • @emocub16 try the ipad that is the hardest now

  • @FlitzeFritze play dead space

  • Comment removed

  • @emocub16 yea the game is hard to control with the keyboard

its easyer if you plug in a game pad :P

  • ddi you used dazzle dvd recorder to record this ?

  • I was actually really scared of Jano when I played this as a kid...

  • This level creeped me out as hell when i was a kid. I didnt want to play this game...

  • Did this game terrify anyone else?

  • when i was 8 the boss

its a bit hard now i was 9 i beat him

    :D now i am 18

  • @emocub16 u hav NOT PLAYED THE DS VERSION. i own pc (sound issues) ds(sux balls) and ps2(second hand and is a bit messed up)

  • I remember choosing the choice of taking the treasure and i saw Rayman turned into a sumo size couch potato. I thought i finished the game at that point! LOL

  • This level drove me nuts but i liked it LOlz

  • guardian is so fucking scary

  • fhuckin hell i hate that godamn level!!!

  • his voice is scary

  • 7:57 hole-y i dont get nightmares but i know im gunna be seeing this in my sleep!

  • play F.E.A.R. then, and believe me, you ARE gonna get nightmates ^^

  • @FlitzeFritze i know i have that but no

watch the ring 2 and then you know what scary is

  • This Cave of Bad Dreams looks like something Tim Burton could create.

  • You can blast the icicles apart!?!?!

I wonder if you can do that in the PSX version... if so, I made this level so much harder on myself.

  • It was harder to control than the N64 version? I thought that was the hardest but I haven't played the PC one yet.

  • I have the PC version, and it really isn't that hard to control, once you get the hang of it.

  • I have the PS2 (Rayman Revolution) version and the PC version, what versions are there besides those, and how are they called?

    Thanks!

  • I can see why its called the cave of bad dreams since this leve gave me a hole shit load of nightmares!!

  • @foamyfan231 the friggin caterpillar thingys made me pee myself when i was like 4

  • @foamyfan231 now you know how i felt when i saw a shadow in the night thinking a great big hand would come out of it!

  • @foamyfan231 That's why it's called the Cave of Bad Dreams. :P

  • The Cave Of Bad Dreams guardians are based off some sort of mythology of crab like creatures in the Underworld.

  • The part where your being chased down the slide scared me when i was little.

  • @jbcool95 Yeah me too, hah.

  • I wonder what the purple stuff is...

    i don't wanna know... proberly...umm... sick stuff

    *pukes*

  • This level was really hard because I always got eaten by the little guardians of the cave of bad dreams...I was just fighting, And one appears under me. I try to run away, But it was like they grabbed me. So they appeared completely, They eat my head first, then my body, Then my shoes. SO annoying. And I always got an error that the save data was gone or something...

  • I have a CD rom version of this

  • Why does the n64 version has midi music can they use Mp3 music like other n64 games >_>

  • Not really. If it did, it would probably be very compressed.

I think this game came out early in the N64 life where MIDI's and the like were a very popular choice of music.

  • the one eye man talks creepy

  • Oh man. I remember going through the Jano boss battle one day, and when Jano jumped from one platform to another he COMPLETELY MISSED and fell to his doom.

It was awesome. Except I was then stuck in the middle of the level with no where to go.

  • Awesome!

  • same happened to me while playin' this on project 64 he falls and i try to go back but FAIL!! :( no idea same thang happened to me again it happened 2 or 3 times XD

  • brilliant reactions for the glass breaking. Nice work !

  • OMG this game is much harder on the DS, i keep getting Killed :(

  • psn? for psp? it isnt in england on ps store :(

  • i actually thought the ps1 version was best, because the voice acting was in english lol

  • The arrow corresponds to the colour of the "A" button derived primarily from the N64 which was blue. PC should have been white but whatever.

Dreamcast's "A" button is red while the "B" button is blue.

  • Those things at 03:11, I called them the boucing brussel sprouts!!

    XD

  • They look more like leg-less spiders to me...

Ugh damn. Actually I don't want to imagine them looking like bouncing mini-trees! That's kinda creepy in its own right.

  • yeah, i have the DS version (almost a direct port from the N64) and i showed my mom the guardian on the world map (because i already got past the cutscene) and she said "is that a spider?"

  • were can i download this game, no store sell this game no more

  • There's no definite place you can download this game. I wouldn't know where to look either.

If you still look for consoles, then try pawn shops, or game stores that sell older games.

  • Oy... Back then I would never get passed that stage because I was too scared of getting chased by that one eyed creature with sharp, drooling teeth coming behind me... ._.

    Man, those were the days

  • shoot i was playing on rayman 2 revoltuion after i was following him after he shot skulls i got close to him he jumped tohigh he missed the rock and i had to reset

  • In the n64 verson of this game the time where you were being chased by that 1 eyes thing he would sometimes close his mouth so you couldnt see

  • That's when he tries to eat you. If you hit too many obstacles and get close, he attempts to chomp you down.

It's pretty freaky so it was motivation ENOUGH to want to keep away from that drooling mouth!

  • lol

  • i wuz scared when i played this lvl on mah ps1 when i was phour ( 4 ) this y i got my mum ( VG expert lol ) 2 do 4 me =3

  • It is pretty creepy. You should see the Revolution PS2 version of this levels, it's A LOT scarier.

  • the guy whit 1 eye is a boss?

  • Sort-of. I'd consider it more like a trial since you don't actually fight him. You are dodging all of his attacks (Not to mention avoid being eaten alive!).

You cannot hurt the Keeper. A Boss you can't hurt may not be a boss at all the way I see it.

  • The part where you got chased always gave me the creeps.

  • I remember playing this level when I was eight... Scared the living hell outta me... Now it just creeps me out.

  • Yeah, those teeth covering the screen scared me good. I was so scared when I first played this level (which was on the N64 around the time this game came out)

After being killed so many times I wanted to get past it already. "You ain't eating Rayman this time!" and such...

  • I hate this level XO

    I died so very much againest this pacman wannabe ;_;

...I don't remember the "I'm Gonna Eatchyou!" hud element. This makes me happy.

    That was some amazing swinging.

  • I played this on the DS. I hated this becuase excessively pressing the D-Pad and confusing sphere-carrying manuver. Plus it creeped me out. The bosss was espessialy difficult for me becuase I kept falling and falling and falling... Yeah, you get the point. But you seem to be better than me, or is it just becuase you can use the analog stick?

  • Dreamcast had the best Analog control (especially for slides) so it's a bit easier to move around.

DS version with the D-pad is hard. Seriously, half the time you can expect to barely miss a platform or face the wrong way. I think it also has the "Anything off-screen can't be touched" symptom this one has.

  • Have you played the DS version of this?

  • I own the DS version. I've done everything except beat Razorbeard and get 3 Yellow Lums that were missing.

  • Yeah. Originally you just jumped on skulls over there, and then came back.

  • i have the ps2 revolution version

  • 07:48 - lol, priceless, I love all the expressions for Rayman in the game, they really add to his character.

  • saestrol this is one fact if rayman was looking in the cave of bad dreams as sleeping Elg coulda killed him while he was stnding up looking in the skull

  • True. The hypnotism seems to be the whole point of the cave. Although it is not clear if he was just being hypnotized, or if he was forced to go into that door leading to the caves.

50 Yellow Lums were in there so I'm betting Rayman really went there.

  • saestrol is he the elg guy whos drunk or sam is

  • Ssssam is the one who helps you across the Marshes. Eig would be the spider-like guy who got you in the cave and chase after you.

  • LOL, when I was young, I played this level. I was so scared XD My brother had to do it at last. But awsome run!

  • hey ! i remembered theres no pirates here!

  • This is my favorite part of the whole game! Rayman Rocks!

  • your good at this

  • I found another mistake in the video title.. lol

Raymman. Did you upload the video in the morning again? :)

  • Your right. Most likely did...

Heck I'd better check all the Rayman videos.

  • man this place gives me the creeps i always hated this place >:(

  • What MovieMaker do you use?

  • Ulead Video Studio 10 Plus

    It's so easy to use it's mind-boggling!

  • WOW, the game's makers made that chasing part awesome.

  • lol...you changed it from cove to cave

  • Unfortunately I can't STOP making these mistakes. I must have some horrible memory problem or something.

Looks like I was too slow lol.
