@lepetitevoix I use the resin twice to paint in between. This gives the painted area in between a raised look. It appears to be floating on top. The resin is adding a new effect to my work that I'm really enjoying right now.

She does the second layer for a layered 3-d effect and the necessity I guess would depend on the look one would be going for.
