I identified this as the finale of the show, yet also a reunion of the cast or something....they weren't jus referring to the characters about moving on. They were also trying to get us(the viewers) to move on...

@BrevLasse well, these scenes are from an intermediate dimension they all have to "live" in order to move on together. the awakenings take place after each one of them has lived their lives and has died, then they remember their lives and they simply "move on", we don't know if they're moving on to heaven or to anything else.

@KELLYDUST123 yes they are dead, in fact the flash-sideways world (the one we see in this video) starts many years after jack's death in the finale. after everyone died, they were all transported to this world where they had to remember and let go, in order to move on.

@kabloom321 you're right but he really needed to get to the very end to look like a better person... let's remember that he killed widmore without hesitation in the second last episode. anyway, i think desmond found the better way to trigger the remembering in ben: he beat him up like he did when ben was seeking revenge for alex's death. he probably had a full remembrance by spending time with alex and danielle in the flash-sidewayses...
