This opening has that feeling of "This is the end" to it. It was the end of the original Pokemon series (as the name changed to Pocket Monsters Advanced Generation the next season), and the last generation I played before D&P. I can just imagine all of my original Pokemon waving goodbye to me from my old Gameboy, knowing this would be the last battle we had together...

1. My mother is named Iris. :)

2. She has an awesome dragon-type Pokemon (Kibago).

No one can ever really replace Misty, but I'm hoping that I'll like this new character almost as much as I love Misty. :D

@AkaiTsukiHime I heard that the creators think that a, say, 10 year old kid would watch and grow up. They would be able to associate themselves with the young characters. Then, when they grow up and new children start watching, they won't be able to associate with a 20 year old, so they just never age. Ash should be at least 11, because once he came back to Viridian after traveling Kanto, he said that it's been a year since he was there.

the advance generation and diamond and pearl does focus too much at the girl( may and dawn) ash is the main character..and brock...NEVER THAT DUDE!!! why..im not gonna say that their races because that's a hate note. so all i mean to say is that Brock need some more part in the shows and draw their attention to ash goal. so sad its coming to an end. Pokemon is almost done and i learned to draw because of them....(sniff)

I totally agree with you! Ash seems to me like a secondary character now; they focus more on contests and the girls than on gym battles. I liked Johto the best, however, because Misty was there, and it gave a sort of "behind-the-scenes" vibe to the show like when they were in the forest and stuff. And Brock- they NEED to focus on him more, too- the "world's best breeder" needs to compete a little, too! =D

And yes, everyone is entitled to free opinions, so I really wish people on this page and site in entirety would stop going against the new epsiodes just because they're the new episodes. I personally love where Pokemon is going, regardless of its change in style. It's still the franchise that brought me Byron and will bring me HGSS.
