  • Beware

The monsters are level at the same time as you (the next battle), but not your equipment.

If you do this (10 more lvl 1 battle), you'll get stuck.

You get killed, 1 or 2 shot by the usual little monster

I advise you to increase only the weakest of your character at the same lvl as other or slightly increase the lvl of the team before a boss

  • Once I discovered the usefulness and effectiveness of "sleep" and "don't move", then later "frog", I could face level 99 enemies at level 1 without problems. Sleep is what really got me going and is how I was able to reach level 99 and master every job before doing the Sweegy Woods battle for the first time.

  • @ulillillia

It's true but those who do not maximize their brave/faith will not control enemies easily like you do.

With 92/80 amuses you like crazy

    With 60/40 much less...

I use only speed break & accumulate to do this faster at the beginning of the game & I hit the lowest lv (friend or ennemy I don't care) to max jp min exp

  • 97 and 83 are what I use for brave and faith respectively today. This video is quite old - I've more than exceeded the 10 levels in 10 minutes - I can do 70 if I really push it, 68 being my record (I have a video showing over 50 levels being gained in 10 minutes. It's been a little more than 11 months since I last played FFT - Disgaea has taken over it and then some.

  • Low leveled characters arn't that bad. Especially if you level them up to 99 and down again. Otherwise known as -

    *random oldguy comes along*

    haaaaaaaaaacks

*monitor starts to roll towards me*

  • I've not only got videos explaining the downleveling/upleveling trick, but I also wrote the guide on GameFAQs.

  • my god level 99

  • I can reach level 99 from level 1 in only about 20 minutes. See my "50+ levels in 10 minutes" video for some hints. There's still room for improvement though over this - 68 levels in 10 minutes is my current record though 70 seems possible. I've had level 99 (with all jobs mastered) before doing the story-based Sweegy Woods battle.

  • this is a slow way to level. I just invite a level 99 character from deep dungeon. then put basic skills on all my guys and have them surround him. I frog the last enemy and then just dash and throw stone at my lvl 99 until i get bored. use the crystals that drop to get his hp back up and do the whole thing over. or just have one of your guys as a monk and chakra him every turn. I think my method is way better and you level up all your guys so much faster.

  • You should see my "max stats guide" video series. The "rocket speed method" shows a case of gaining 50 levels in 10 minutes and I know how to get it as high as even 70 (68 is my record). I've literally maxed out 4 of Ramza's stats (999 HP, 999 MP, 50 speed, and 99 physical attack), done not by cheating, but exploiting an apparent design flaw or weak point in the game. My Ramza is seemingly invincible!

  • who asks if chocobos r real i mean come on?

  • nice guide i have my main guys to 99 so i have quit playing, never occurred to me that i could just steal the gil like that by the way is that an arithmatition on your team?

  • This may be the fastest way but the auto lvling strategy is better in my opinion...since you dont have to do anything but set it up lol.

  • what i like to do is toad last enemy then put all the characters on Auto only using status attacks no damage attacks then put your chocobo to auto heal allys then leave the game on over night and now you went up alot of levels without having to sit there for a long time =) =0 =@=0=)

  • Mediator? U mean Orator lol

  • It's called a mediator in the PS1 version, the only one I'm aware of. I have heard of the PSP version, but I don't have the system and I'm unlikely to get it because it's handheld.

  • Oh right, I forgot theres differences between the PS1 and PSP version. PSP's awesome ;D

  • PSP is basically a portable, up to date PSX... Keep your opinions to yourself.

  • no, hitler, I won't keep my opinions to myself. You need help.

  • thats exactly what it is, not basicly.

  • @pinguing fail. PSP is basically a portable, up to date, PS2, not PSX. Opinions are meaningless if they are flat out factually wrong. Which yours is.

  • @bumper212 The Port of FFT WotL was horrible for the psp

  • how can i get a chocobao?

  • There are two ways. The first is through one of the story's battles, and the second is with a mediator in your party.

  • Are chocobos real animals?

  • As far as I know, they aren't. If they are not, there's a good chance they actually are - no DNA configuration exists for one yet, however (the same goes for dragons).

  • Is there a way to find their DNA configuration in the game? Maybe then we could create one. Also, if we did, would it be irresponsible to potentially upset the ecological balance of the Earth??

  • The objects are nothing more than 2D sprites in FFT. For FF7 and later, they are nothing more than vertices with triangles made from them to form the shape - a texture is put on these triangles.

  • ooh., i'm already at the last part of the game.. b4 entering the orlan-somthing..

training up a bit right now..

  • kkkkkkk game shark yes lv 99 exp 99XD

  • Actually, I didn't use a Gameshark for this. I, instead, used Mandalia Plains for constant random battles and did these battles for leveling and job mastering. I don't have a GameShark as it is.

  • mandalia plains? is it good? i personally like zaklauz desert.. =)

  • Before you do the Sweegy Woods battle for the story, you'll only encounter chocobos (yellow only), goblins (the red ones), and red panthers (the latter of which weak against earth and the middle weak against ice). These are very basic enemies and are easy to deal with.

  • Approve with u !!!!!!!

    mandalia plain is the place.

  • hello i wonder ever time i get the best characer i die and i trained them for like a 1mounth! can somebody tell me a squad good for me

  • save after every match so if you die just load and i got dark knight, summoner, knight, red chocobo, and white mage...if you dont got dark knight try to get one

  • is there mediator in the psp version because i cant see it

  • I have no idea - I don't have nor want a PSP. This is the PS1 version, of which does have it.

  • Yes, there is a Mediator in the psp version.

  • Its called an orator.

Only bad thing about psp version is that it slows a little bit down during attack motions, but not really much so on summons.

And they got rid of the jp page down trick

  • the chocobo is lvl 95+ -.-" ... i lvl up fast tmb , sleep a monster and use the skill " acumulate " or " Wish " (i think , incrase speed ) (Squire Jobs Abilities) , very fast and easy :) and 0 cost of MP :D

  • This isn't bad, but I know another way that can be fun if you have half decent leveled characters. Have one monster/person really low health and unable to heal and let them run away. Meanwhile, you can have your people fight eachother and heal/revive as needed. This way, you get some fun, exp and jp for all participants. I did this once and I took on Algus with a party consisting of level 23-29 ninjas, samurai, etc. It's fast, considering the rewards, and easy...but cheating in a fashion.

  • I take the lame approach, afflicting every single enemy with practically every negative status effect in the book and keep them constant, especially sleep. Having thieves constantly steal gil while Ramza raises their speed is particularly helpful in quickly raising those levels.

  • Use a mediator and the "invite" command. I've heard "train" also works, but I never used it. I have pretty much no need for monsters - math skill for "faith", "don't move", "sleep", and "don't act" is all I really need to do battles.

  • u can tell the different from psp and psx FFT, for some reason the psx version is faster than the psp version when u cast a spell or ability. people who played both games should notice it.

  • is this the ps1 game or the psp game?

  • It's the PS1 game. I don't have nor want a PSP (I don't like handhelds.).

  • so? lol wtf so random.

  • Umm no, you're not going to beat ulillillia...at anything, so please stfu.

  • well if this is the psp version than there is a point to doing this.. to rape your freinds in this game wifi anal style.. so yea this is a pretty good tactic. I did a fast lvling process like this but it wasnt this fast..

  • finally someone who thinks like me

  • I just can't imagine the point of this. You're already max level with tons of people and rigged out the rear end. Why would you NEED more money or anything? Final Fantasy Tactics isn't really one of those games that has a lot of value in sticking around after you've beaten the tar out of it.

  • The only reason to stick around after you beat it I suppose is to go through the deep dungeon and Move-Find all the items. Then you've Truly beaten the entire game.

But yea, at those levels the deep dungeon would be a piece a cake (or maybe pie!)

  • but thats nothing i already gain 60 leves in one 2 hours battle ... if get a low lv player each hit/skill is one level up in one 99 player ...

  • You can't get more than 99 EXP per action. I've tried it and for several levels in a row, 99 EXP was obtained per action until it went to 98 then 97 and so on. "TargetLevel-SourceLevel+10" determines the EXP gained per action that has an effect. The exception may be the PSP version, of which I've never seen (or even knew existed until I started uploading FFT videos), where the mechanics may be a bit different.

  • Once again, we've done the same thing with this game. Watching you play this makes me want to go out and get that PSP version of it to play it again.

  • ulillillia is the FINAL BOSS OF THE INTERNETS KEEP IT UP!

  • Lovin' all these FF Tactics videos. You're probably the most unique video gamer to grace youtube at the moment; quite refreshing to see when we are surrounded by a glut of weeaboos and video game "reviewers".

  • Cool!

  • wow this is really impressive! how long did it take you to figure this out!

  • It typically takes about 15 to 90 minutes to figure out these formulas (not just for this game, but any other game as well). That assumes that I highly focus toward it. I could find something similar with the JP gained as well if I focus toward doing so.
