I think that in general Dr. Zakir Naik helps clarify for better what can be confusing or misinterpreted by Muslims in the Quran, in that sense he is doing good.
But many of his views will encourage Muslims to slap women, use prostitutes, marry girls that have only just had puberty and not allow women into the mosque.
It appears that his views on Women's Rights in Islam are dictated by his own inability to control his urges towards the women around him.
