  • Media Loves stuff like this, they cant find enough news to report and make out like its doomsday....

  • "grater" toronto area? lolfail.

  • "grater" toronto area? lolfail.

  • Lol this is no earthquake!!!! Where i come from, this an everyday thing.

  • population control programs

  • Ah yes, the great "Toronto earthquake" that actually happened in Quebec, in the Ottawa area.

  • CP24 sucks, since Znaimer sold everything. Now it is all Conservative, sensationalist journalism and reporting. Now one cares about the Pet show or all these stories about individuals. Many people have problems, why focus on one sole person to make the audience feel fear and lost in the haze of life. And how about some real non-conservative based news cuz CTV which is owned by the same company, and Sun TV already do that. Should have left it with City.

  • Another earthquake just happen in Gta too.

  • Bitch before you get into the news remember your topic can't believe you forgot your own city from your own country because bitches like you never mentioned Montreal

  • 5.5 is nothing on the richard skala im sure they didnt even know that it was an earthquake

  • @MrKINGofRING LOL, are you an expert on the "richard skala"?

  • o.o I didn't feel it,xD It was even on my last day of school.I would of freaked out.

  • If CP24 was available in the States, I could totally see Kristen Wiig on SNL doing an impersonation of Stephanie Smyth (the anchor in this video), she'd be such an easy target for Kristen. Stephanie always looks so angry.

  • I thought a ghost was shaking my bed but I was to tired n fell back asleep lol

  • i was downtown toronto and didnt feel shit, lol (thankfully)

  • an unexpected earthquake? IMPOSSIBLE!!

  • i was home sick and i felt it

  • I live in detroit and I felt the same excat earthquake. I was sitting on chair with my feet up watching youtube and I felt the ground shake.

  • I didnt feel shit!

  • @msartyme uhh.. Earthquakes aren't weather :s

  • the americans are so OTT

  • why do they go crazy over this.. this happends in California almost every month and and we get little ones like crazy don't really notice them 5.5 and up we feel but i mean, i would only move if it was like 6.5 and up.... like get up out my seat or w/e i am doing

  • @randomsk8vidsfan because our infrastructure in canada is not made to withstand an earthquake. they are extremley rare so there is no need to earthquake proof everything like down there. so when one of this magnatude hits its quite a big deal

  • HELP US HAITI WE NEED RELIEF

  • i dunno why some people who experienced it the least are freaking out about it and calling it 'dangerous'. here, in Ottawa, we felt it for a good 5-10 seconds, and it barely shook anything. i remember i was on my laptop, and i still kept on sitting there when it happened, going like, "meh...". but its not too serious in these parts here

  • bullshit they moved it to a 5.0 and why would you evacuate. We had that 7.2 and they didnt even evacuate the theme park i was at. A 6.0 in 2004 i was in and i was at school and they didnt evacuate the school or my classroom. And you may say "Oh well they arent earthquake resistant in Canada!" Yes they are. Especially in that area. Quakes are almost common there. There are faults. AND! In that 6.0, my class was a MOBILE CLASSROOM. We didnt evacuate. Theyre all over-reacting.

  • @TheBassguy1 Dude, most youth and kids had NEVER felt an earthquake before, even adults hadnt rlly felt one before... This was one of the most powerful earthquakes recorded in ontario. when i felt it i was studying for my exams, and i felt it, i honestly thought a truck or bus was outside, and most ppl thought thats what it was too... until i saw on the news 10 mins later that it was a quake XD...Ontarios buildings are designed to withstand earthquakes i believe, but they rarely happen here.

  • @xXTHEMASTERSXx For youth and kids and even adults theres always a first right? And i still dont understand why people say OH MY GOD I THOUGHT IT WAS THE END OF THE WORLD!

It doesnt matter if it was your first quake or not it was little and you know it.

    Like i said, over-reacting.

Come and live in California for, ohhh say, 10 years, and see if a 5.5 is ANYTHING.

  • @xXTHEMASTERSXx That last sentence: I meant to say 5.0, idk why i wrote 5.5.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheBassguy1 Yes, it was small. I wont deny that, and yes i know california gets them all the time lol. But 5.0 is the strongest weve ever had. I was told earthquakes couldnt happen in ontario ... They dont teach us about them in canada in school at all. we have no plans for if say... an 8.0 hit lol. Imagine if it was ur first ever earthquake. I thought it was more epically cool than scary. exciting u could say in a way. toronto and ottawa are one of the least likely places ud feel something XD

  • @xXTHEMASTERSXx Were supposed to have "The Big One" in the next 10 - 20 years or less. Its supposed to be from a 7.8 to 8.3. The southern segment of the San Andreas fault ruptures about every 100 years. It hasnt ruptured in 115. Were over-due. The loner we go without one, the bigger the next will be. The fault moves about 1 to 2 feet per year (30cm to 60cm). What do you call 30cm out there? 1 meter? Anyways, thats how much it moves. Combine that with how many years over-due we are.

  • @xXTHEMASTERSXx DC felt the quake as I was up and thought the same thing, truck or early drilling in the road. I even heard the sound. I love weather so when I heard it was a quake I was excited.

  • that news anchor is my friends mom

  • lol I like the title. "unexpected earthquake" They usually are unexpected. I think everyone would appreciate if Mother Nature would call us and let us know when she plans on playing shake rattle and roll music lol

  • @AmericanPride1234 seismograph, you idiot

  • 2012 IS COMMING!!

    AAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @JoaoPinto23 it is we had all the earthhquakes lol in so many places and were like okay but now ontario wtf man

  • @theownagification yep haha

  • The world is not going to end in 2012 obviously. What the Mayans meant by 2012 was that a physical or spiritual transformation will occur. They did not mean the end of the world. Most people usually read the Mayan predictions wrong.

  • @ProudtobeaCanuck then what about nibiru approaching?

The government has blacked out the co-ordinates of the nibiru's location in google sky.

There's a video that shows an object with several moons coming towards us .

  • @ajazaad I don't know about that so I can't comment sorry.

  • @ProudtobeaCanuck hmmm okay , if u have free time just check videos in my favorites

  • @ProudtobeaCanuck yeah lool

but thats just a load of BS xD

  • Oh shut up with this 2012 bullshit. We are in a season where STORMS ALWAYS HAPPEN jesus christ. People were crying this same nonsense when Connecticut had a 10 MINUTE TORNADO. I mean shut up! Nobody can possibly know the outcome of our world, NOBODY.

  • @Katbee1 first off, an earthquake is not a storm, second, earthquakes dont have seasons and thirdly ontario has NEVER had an earthquake where the epicenter is actually in ontario and i know this cuz i live here and felt that earthquake. so you cant blame people for panicking. if it starts snowing in egypt are u gona tell people to shut up because its snow season in egypt? read a book. look up things like HAARP before you come out with YOUR nonsense.

  • @XKLUSIF- Calm the hell down. I was talking to the 2012 fanatics.

  • @XKLUSIF YES YOUR RIGHT WE HAVent i had a earthquake a couple of days ag0 i have butterflys now

  • than we appear in this plane of reality.

  • wow, This is an example of how far the elites are going to spread fear at this time of awaking. The War of Terror, Decease Prevention, "We are Killing the Climate Go Green!"(this one makes me laugh not cry LOL) And making "Natural disasters' happen in parts of the world that nature wouldn't act in such a way under "normal" circumstances. Wether we realize all this is man made by mind controlling elites or not,,the time to not FEAR death is upon us, death can come ANY time, remember "we" are more

  • u might think it may never happend but u need to be ready for when a big one hits cus u never know

  • it's a miracle to be alive ...

    that was a deadly one

  • Yellowstone anyone?

  • 2012 is just around the corner..

  • pretty good quality for a recording of a television

  • Mr. Harper's hair was unharmed.

  • I DIDNT FEEL ANY EARTHQUAKE ):

unless i just didnt pay attention to it...

but really |: scary thought... that canada would get hit ):

  • I felt it..! i was at having recess lol and i felt it...it was creepy and unexpected..but an earthquake in canada? wow!

  • There are fault lines around Canada. There have been earthquakes in Ontario before it's just not as often as LA or other more active areas. People talk about the world ending every year. 2012 was not predicted to be end of the world by the mayans, it's just the end of the calendars they made. They did not say the world would end then they just made calendars for 5000 years and it ended 2012. Plus if the world is going to end whining about it is a big waste of time.

  • Earthquake.

    2009 - low

    2010 - medium

    2011 - high

2012 - very high / december 21 end of the world

  • @exobluez if you believe that shit then your an idiot. the miyans thought the sun wouldnt rise unless they sacrificed someone everyday how do you expect them to predict the end of the world?

  • earth quakes are always unexpected...lol

  • This video is Frikin Funny with CAPTIONS ON

  • This was scary. Canada, earthquakes???

It will be a disaster if earthquakes happen in Alberta since Alberta's ground is pretty much "oil hidden" ground....

Wow, I thought we only had storms and stuff NOT earthquakes...

    Scary...

  • nibiru is approaching?

  • We get them from time to time. Minor fault line runs through lake Scugog to the great lakes.

  • omg omg earthquake!!!

    must twitter ASAP!!!!

  • I'm in between T.O and Ottawa (closer to Ottawa) and didn't feel anything....wish I did though:)

  • WTF, I was in a China Shop in the earthquake zone and didn't hear or feel a thing!

  • That was a great "test session" God!

Durring the G-20 I will pray twice as hard.

  • it was sooo wierd

never experienced anything like it, probably never will again

  • So weird I didn't notice it XD

  • Weeeeeeeee, rockin and rollin all night long

  • Is Danny Glover saying this one's due to global warming also?

  • when was this???

  • They're firing up HAARP again!

  • @MoneyIsSilver Yeah and they just did it again to Japan yesterday. Fucking hyprocrite!!!

  • i was gaming it and i was talking to a guy and hes like "earthquake!" and you could hear shit falling..

  • @dpsdan4 LOL THATS FUCKING HILARIOUS I CAN PICTURE IT IN MY MIND SO PERFECTLY

  • Im from owen sound and felt the earthquake here

  • I'm kind of surprised that I didn't feel anything. I live in Mississauga, very close to the lake. It seems that anyone who lives this close to Lake Ontario felt little or no shaking, while people even a short distance north or west (away from the epicenter) felt it in moving cars even. I guess the lower elevation makes a difference.

  • @CindyVision I also live in Mississauga but i did feel it.

  • I am amazed by the amount of ignorant people on the internet. wow really amazed... oh and one correction. the 5.5 magnitude only refers to the epicenter, so Quebec was it?

  • I may be wrong but I just felt a little tremor around 4pm today. I live on the 22nd floor of a high building. I am from toronto. Did someone else feel anything?

  • I didn't felt it..

  • @klb2000000 me neither

  • OMG Earthquake! Are the Moose okay?

  • I live in Montreal, and i felt it. that was scary.

  • OMG ITS THE END OF THE WORLD!!!!!!

  • @Hobo20012 shut up

  • @Hobo20012 lol you actually believe that shit?. its not gunna happen trust me. the mayans didn't count the leap year ;)

  • Canadian local news anchors were jizzing in their pants that day. Finally something important to talk about.

  • is there an active continental margin near toronto?

  • When people don't understand things they always blame god. What if maybe that story of god is just a fictional story made up in the human mind?

The world is supposed to end almost every year. Give it a break 2012 is getting old and people are sick of fantasy end of the world stories.

  • @ihavtugo Yea i heard of sumtin else in radios..2013 we all die lol

kinda believable this time.. look it up and see what u find

  • lol 5.5? thats nothing?

  • God I hate living in Toronto, over exaggerate EVERYTHING. I didn't feel a thing, also even if I didn't I have models that if you tap the desk they are on they will fall.

  • @Monkerr I agree, remember SARS

  • @Monkerr Agreed, but it would not just be in Toronto. Many People who hardly experience anything significant would exaggerate. Not to say all. But you can see the evidence in the comments ;)

  • @Monkerr A lot of people felt it, earthquakes are kind of a big deal .. theres usually aftershocks etc..

  • @salmaaO1x3 Don't worry, it was just god farting in outer space and his flatulence just happened to be on a trajectory to earth and ended up hitting Ontario. God is Mad, you are right, there might be some aftershocks from his remaining gas.

  • @luc59457 seriously... =__="

  • sry for the earthquake... i was taking a sht

  • I think things are going to get much worst than this as we approach 2012.Just that big solar storm they are saying in 2012 will change things on earth.

  • @CONTRAHABS the solar storm thing is apparently at 2013 not 2012 :P

  • i blame the g20 summit

  • one sign of the worlds end is earthquakes in many places around the world.... Freaky right? this could be it, maybe a warning from god? 2012 is coming

  • @ColtonKitt you bet yeah.We started getting tornados a couple of years ago here in Quebec.Another sign i guess.

  • First of all it was a 5.5 near the Quebec border , it was just a little rumble by the time it got to the GTA, and earth quakes like this happen in that area roughly every 20 or so years

  • Earthquake in your mother's vagina.

  • Mann i felt that too....I felt like my Chair was on a Wave pool....

  • yeah i agree you know something is going on with the earth when canada gets a 5.5 magnitude earthquake. No worries though about 2012 or anything . The world wont end. Theve been saying this for a while now but we might get worse and worse storms.

  • @TheCheesecar its not new Canada gets earthquakes every once in a long while this was definitely not the first or the last, and it was a earthquake how are we going to get worse and worse storms

  • @SatpalTkO i mean because were polluting our earth more and more and eventually it cant withstand that and now its basically letting out all of its' anger'

  • For people who don't know why this is a big deal, it's because we rarely get earthquakes up here, especially a 5.5 magnitude one. This isn't California where they happen every day, they happen about every 20 years or longer (and a lot of us on youtube/social media sites are around the age where we have never experienced an earthquake before).

  • @bubblywums very true... i do know that we do have earthquakes , but they are small enough that they go unnoticed, and usually stay up near ottawa. lol... they also say now that that weakness in the crust where the earthquake happened will likely produce a massive earthquake that will do significant damage and destruction to many parts of canada and the usa. some of the most densily populated areas too

  • @xXTHEMASTERSXx yeah, there are high to extreme earthquake warnings in ontario-quebec and the west cost

  • her news feed is her cell phone... canada is screw

  • i felt it. it was like 5 seconds of shaking. no big deal. nobody was injured or anything, they make it a big deal because canada never gets earthquakes.

  • @nuclearbananas3 That's that only thing happening in Canada that's why they are making it big lool

  • @cooleb yeah true ;D

  • The end is near.

  • You know the end is near when CANADA gets an earthquake....

  • @adminoperator I KNOW RIGHT! when i thought it was safe here....

  • @adminoperator LOttawa gets Earthquakes 3-4 times a year. They are very small but they still get them often. this however was much stronger obviously but still they get them often.

  • @adminoperator people have been saying that the end of the world is coming for hundreds probably even thousands of years lol

  • @adminoperator its happened before...so the end is near has been around for a very long time...lol

  • @adminoperator yup!

  • @adminoperator OMFG i know!

  • @adminoperator You are going to get a bunch of brainwashed fools brainwashed now. OMG the Sacred land has shook, the land so strong and free! This must have some kind of relation to the bible right?

  • @adminoperator we have earthquakes all the time and vancouver is expecting a magnitude 8-9 earthquake in the next 60 years

  • @adminoperator

Now I'm starting to believe the world's going to end CLOSER than 2012!

  • Comment removed

  • @Wasadork, No! That's not true! It's just a fiction movie!

  • @adminoperator im with you on that!

  • everyones making such a huge deal about it, the news was just milking the shit out of it and sensationalizing it...they're like OMG HIDE UNDER A STURDY TABLE. i guess it's a plus that they stopped talking about the goddamn g20 for two seconds. it wasn't that bad...when stuff in my room started banging around i just thought that my neighbors were fucking. hahaha.

  • I'm in ottawa and I felt it

I was doing dishes and i dropped one and it smashed

    thanks a lot earth.

  • At least you guys don't have random houses exploding. Don't believe me? look up Edmonton house explosion it killed 4.

  • @COMMYCABOOSE I live In Edmonton, that shit is FUCKED!!! It was murder!!

  • @NiteOwl1224 .... actually that was my wife's "uncle" that did it, she probably hadn't seen/talked to him since she was a kid tho... but i guess they are pretty sure he was also planning to have his kids there too.... what a f*ck up, kills himself and a bunch of innocent people too.... I can't stand my wife's aunt, she's kinda messed up herself, but at least she left him and figured out what a sick f*ck he was long ago.

  • @IH8WRONGPPL I'm sure. Nice to know, thanks for you're response.......

  • @NiteOwl1224 no worries.

  • @COMMYCABOOSE probly a meth house

  • Shhhhh...we never told them about the fault that runs along the northern border.

  • Yeah, actually a couple of months ago me and my two friends were smoking marijuana in their magical tree-fort and we felt the ground tremor!

But then again we were high..

  • Attention citizens of Canadaland

    .

    .

    .

    .

    .

For reals though, better get your supplies ready. In the trunk of your car, not scattered around your garage. Remember that.

  • As soon as I heard about the earthquake I was like.. 2012..

I've never felt an earthquake.. jealous..

  • "Unexpected 5.5 Earthquake"

As opposed to what? lol an expected one?

  • @treysparker I know right, when was the last predicted earthquake? well...by other than a so called "psychic"

  • @treysparker LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL ROFLCOCK i felt the earthquake and im in montreal .. it shaked for like 5 seconds and it was like 1/10

  • I think all the "hype" was I am sure 95% of Canadians have never felt an earthquake before. So I am sure we were all amazed at what it felt like. Like I was. Although it was only like 0.5 where I was. It was cool to have my chair move. I thought my house was haunted.

  • i live in brantford. i was at the hospital while the earth quake happend. my mum was beside me and she said do you feel that? i though she was shaking the bed but it was the earthquake.

  • 2012

  • 8.8 earthquake's gonna hit vancouver very soon.

  • @edge160 dude the fucking country would be done if that happend

  • you sillys its the camera shaking, there's no earthquake :)

  • what the hell is going on with all these earthquakes going on?

I know this might sound a little bit crazy, but if u ask me; Hait, Chile and all of the other recent erathquakes that have been going on, I think they were just tests. Tests of a top secret US military weapon capable of inflicting major or minor damage to cities and leaving behind only traces of natural disaster. Toronto, Ottawa and all those places never if not rarely get Earthquakes. It's not neciserally true, but it could be...

  • Earthquakes are kind of fun... When they are under 6.0

  • Wow, I was on down Toronto tht day, I felt nothing, some lady come thru door and says she felt the ground shaking, I called her retarded.

  • Tycc

  • For fucks sakes Ive wanted to experience an earthquake since 1999,I moved up to FUCKING PARRY SOUND ON THE FUCKING SHIELD WHERE NO FUCKING SHIT EVER FUCKING HAPPENS and now from being in Toronto I say,FUCK PARRY SOUND.

  • BP did it.

  • @TheAirForceNinja They actually did.

  • Lol i was playin soccer at that team didnt feel a thing

  • Does anybody else find it kinda sad that News also relies on twitter?

  • @TrustKovacss lmao YES! I think twitter is ridiculous lol or the fact that when someone was in an elevator while the earthquake was happening...the first thing he did was twitter it. So sad...

  • What a way to distract the population from what is happening in Toronto.. the G20 Summit. Let me tell you how badly they Chemtrailed the skies of Canada the day before the earthquake.. Haarp at work ? Or Harrp/ er perhaps ?

  • Are earthquakes ever "expected"?
