I don't think it's cool to have a guy fall in the water to force emergency people to come just for a youtube video (unless this was previously set up by the photographer and the helicopter pilot was paid to do this). I dont see how this could have been an "accident" with the guy filming the guy as he falls into the water and then oh-so-conveniently has his camera set up where the helicopter takes off from, and has another good camera set-up to film the copter as it flies over the water.

No they're not miniatures. They just applied a blur to foreground and background to make things look small. It's been done before in some photography, and e.g. Uniqlo web campaign uniqlo(dot)com(slash)calendar

I grew up there, I actually lived about 250 metres from Little Bay beach! I miss that place.
