Though Roy doesn't like to label himself, he considers it a high complement to be considered a Christian. FHU is an organization that no one can be "belong to" and their materials describe how to become a true, God-fearing individual, free from all groups and cults. Roy can help show anyone how to be a better person, regardless of their religious affiliation.

Can't it be both? No really, do you have to limit our choices to only those two? As if those are the only two possibilities. I'm not a Christian but I believe that Jesus existed and I believe in His teachings. I just don't believe that He ever tried to teach anyone that He was God. He was simply showing people what God was like. "If you have seen me, you have seen the Father." Because they were just alike in thought, and deed. So why do we always have to label people?

good point.....Jesus was the son of God, and never pretended to be ©od, He prayed to HIS father, just like we should. He never did anything until he was told to. He couldn't even cure Lasarus, he had to wait until he died, and then ©od the father resurrected him through him.

From what I understand:

Roy's father used the last name "Masters" when he moved to England to discourage prejudice against his Jewish heritage. Roy had been referred to as "Roy" by many friends since he was young. He had his name changed "legally" in 1954 to fit what he was used to going by.

As a young man, I had a terrible time concentrating. Once I learned how to use Roy's meditation, I was able to go from barely understanding algebra and doing poorly in school to completing the calculus series, linear algebra, logic, all with very good results. It helped me concentrate and focus on my surroundings. From just that, I was able to develop tremendous talents. We all have these treasures inside of us. If done right, the meditation works.

Perhaps the most amazing man. Well, the SECOND most amazing man EVER. If you've never had the chance to be introduced to him, I would suggest that everyone listen to him. I have listened to him for years and now listen on XM radio. There are no words to describe what the world has to learn from Roy Masters.

Roy doesn't personally respond to comments here, but I will do my best to answer.

No count has been kept of those who have had their cancer cured since listening to Roy. He would say that he didn't cure anyone, but that their faith made them well.

I've been listening to Roy since I was 6 years old... He's like a father to me.. The epitome of what a father figure should be! He has helped me to tap into Christianity in a way that I think most churches have really missed out on.

Wow!! I haven't heard any of Roy's stuff since the 80's when he had the show "How to Control Your Negative Emotions" in Los Angeles. He gave me faith that I didn't have before in Christ's teachings. He also opened me up to an understanding and interest in Zen that I wouldn't have had without his teachings.

I seriously think Mr Masters is one of the only spiritualists that actually has a grasp and understanding of what human beings really are and what motivates us , and i understand the idea that whoever you may appoint as your savior , an idol or concept or even an object , is your god , even though in reality it never can be . I think what he meant , although i can't speak for him , is that you can't be perfect by your own actions or reactions , but perfected by accepting the grace of the creator . I like his idea about stress , how he believes it's the failure to respond to temptation , but instead a re action to it . JV

Yes, I agree the "reaction to stress" this is key. I have been listening to Roy since 1982. IT TOOK ME THIS LONG TO FINALLY realise this one simple concept. its so simple its HARD. But from this simple concept can begin your eternal life.

It is JUST as he says, when Truth is spoken it is recognizable. If you can't hear the difference, try to listen and trust your feelings. They are trying to give you helpful information! I will only say that Truth, or hearing Truth, rings like a pitch fork. guess that where they got the saying "has a ring to it." Wonderful. I've spoken to Roy on his program several times. In some ways he reminds me of J. Krishnamurti (whom I like even better), in fact he told me he had a camp near K's (in Ojai) and used to hear him lecture. I agree with a lot of Roy's ideas, even though I'm non-denominational and think he's the only Christian I truly admire. I haven't listened to him in years because I drifted away from his teachings, which I found a little dogmatic for my tastes.

Iv'e been listening to Mr. Masters for about 15 years on radio, lecture tapes, etc. I agree with what he says about 90% of the time. I wonder how he feels about the press especially in Europe(his original UK included) constantly criticizing U.S. foreign policy.

I have heard Roy before and his greatest gift is the ability to bring the bible alive in a practical way. Because of the way the gospel is mostly delivered by phony christians I rejected Christ. If it were not for the way the message is delivered by Roy in a sensible way, I would not be a christian today. I say this not to exalt Roy, but to recommend the unique way he teaches.
