  • Pathetic video, you tory loving shits.

  • Royalist Power Long Live The Queen!

    'God, Queen and Country'!

  • The Conservative Party fought tooth and nail to sell Britain down the river of EEC membership in 1973. Margaret Thatcher campaigned vigously for the 'YES' campaign to EEC membership during the referendum of 1975 - even though she knew the terrible financial cost of EEC membership. In 1992 the Tories signed the Treaty of Maastricht committing Britain to the hopelssly corrupt and criminal led EU project. Hang on though, Labour and LibDems are even more treasonous.

  • @blackandproud75 you dont like it get on ya floating door and fuk off somewhere else.... black and proud,,,,, wat ya got to be proud of? what av you lot ever contributed to mankind... fuk all! yet we are expected to subsidise you lot for eternity..... africa is not our problem nor should we make it so. I'm sorry but you don't like what most Brits are saying and to be honest they are more concerned with the fact that petrol prices maybe going up than 3 million people starving in africa...

  • @blackandproud75 No we shouldn't be throwing, wasting our money abroad. If I want to give to charity which I don't! Il do it on my own, what I do object to is any government presuming that my hard earn taxes should be wasted on foreigners. Charity is the option for the individual not for the state to presume their right to spend my money, my money should be spent on our services, stop cutting defence, africa need condoms not vaccines

  • mararet thatcher complaned about Britain being swamped from pakistan and the commonwealth, Good on her, wish we had a politician today who actually could see the majority of british people want proper limits on immigration

  • @alexandertory well that might of been the only half decent thing she done. Unless you could count bankrupting Northern England and Scotland, as well as creating mass unemployment (by shutting down heavy industries) then forcing them to work in government employment programs for minimum wage, creating a reliance on foreign energy sources, stopping free milk for school kids ect I don't like the IRA, but the only decent thing they did was bombing Margaret Milksnatcher but even then they failed.

  • Why don't most people remember it was the Conservatives who got us involved in Iraq in the first place? My husband was in the RAF and we had never left Iraq since the Conservatives got us involved as we were the second largest force there.

  • If it wasn't for Labour I would never have had the chance to have a degree with the Open University. I had an awful state education when the Conservatives were in power so years later at least I get another chance with the OU.

  • Does anybody remember when our TV was dubbed over for Sinn Feinn politicians? Not saying I wanted to listen to them but having the choice would have been nice seeing as I might have been killed by a bomb. I hate it when Conservatives pretend to care about British people too, when they even stooped as low as taking away old people's free eye tests.

  • Why is it ironic that the video mentions tuition fees?- It's very clear they still oppose them. Sometimes you just have to do things that you think are bad- that's life. There's no hypocrisy in this video, the Lib Dems are a principled and conscientious party, the Tories only care about protecting the rich. End of story.

  • @princessalice111 Yes Gcse and A level result's Yes also it helped lift million's ofd pensioner's out of povetry, child benefit doubled by 26%, Yes labour had it's weakness as a party but over those 13 Year's it was Tony blair who achiveved 2, 200 surestart centre's it was Tony blair who wrote off up to 100 per cent of debt by the poorest countrie's I would say his only weakness was the war in America and I am a member of the labour party, I did vote labour for the first time last Year aged 18.

  • @princessalice111 A very powerful video and Yes the torie's are just evil for what they did to ordinary working people and still are there is no Doubt they ain't the nasty party of polictic's u can say what u want about labour brought actually labour brought in the NHS, Education Matience Allowence, which helped wentr toward's Child benefit, getting people on college course's under labour more Young people stayed on in Education were achivived in ordinary state Schools

  • @rider4343

Is that the best, most mature response you can come up with? And I'm not even a Liberal lol!

  • And now you're holding hands with them you worthless scum -.-

  • Ok right before any more people start posting more comments saying David Camerons rules and don't deny it. I would like to say that I am the eldest of six children, my family is poor and my stepdad doesn't get payed very much. He recently suffered from some kind of illness where he falls asleep at work and basically everywhere and we fear he won't work much longer. My mum is very old now and I don't think anyone will employ her. What will we do?

  • one right wing in the usa gave us the credit crunch and we use to have a nice society till the tories took over here

  • Clegg is anything but a man of his word. Just look at the way he claimed he would put an end to tuition fees, only to later go back on his word and support rise them from £3000 to £9000. He shouldn't have made that promise and he certainly shouldn't have formed a coalition with conservatives. At the time the tabloid press claimed that him joining with Labour would create a coalition of losers, well if I remember correctly the Tories didn't win the election either.

  • first off the conservatives were the first party in the 20th century to intoduce welfare reforms for the working class, they opposed the NHS because labour introduced it when we were in huge debt and tories wanting to abolish it now is nonsense, thactcher was the best prime minister we have ever had and got us out of the reccesion that labour caused, oh look its appened again and the tories have to get us out of the mess once again, as for devolution it has done harm to the once united britain

  • @stevenhaful the resone we are in this state is becouse a tory organistion in the USA deregulated the banks so money would flow in the banks better, but when the reccesion or gedit crunch which affected the whole world thats when we then got in the mess you talk about,if we dident have tories in our world the place the would be a a virtual utopia, but this will never happen with these self seeking tories twits, and there new papers

  • @bisbald69 the reason we are in this state is because there was a labour policy to borrow so we got in a huge debt it was actually a labour economic policy and because of that we had the biggest debt in the world if we carried on with labour it would have got worse and we would have ended up like greece even labour said they would do massive cuts and labour only got the wealth they got when there was a world boom which means almost every country benefitted.

  • @bisbald69 i retired 3 years ago,but when i stated work after my national service,i was paying 33 pence in the pound, the tories in the 1980 reduced tax so low that we are unable to invest as we did in the 1950s,60,70 we cart even afford to aquip our brave men and women in the army, you are self interested you should spend some time in the army were you may learn to work as a team,(Get a heart man)if you can

  • Yeah, sure, lets not vote for the lying scum torys, instead we'll vote for the liberal democrats! At least they're not two faced and go back on promises they make 6 months down the line!

    ....oh wait

  • Yeah LibDems you go get those Tory scum.... Oh... ehrm... oh dear

    EPIC FAIL !.

  • god this seems ridiculous now

  • I agree about the Tory Party’s historical crapness, but it’s not really relevant to anything since they don’t link it properly to the present. Margaret Thatcher’s been a massive influence on the stupid Tories, still. There’s a lot more that they could say about her. It’s important that people recognise Cameron’s homophobia, but they really should make a bigger deal of that, since he claims to be progressive. It’s ironic that they mention tuition fees.

  • get the govt the fuck out of everything, lassaiz faire please

  • @ImEuanAndIGotsSkeelz lassaiz faire doesnt work

  • @ToManyPhones says who?

  • @ToManyPhones seems to have worked for the usa, seems to be working in china and india right now and seems to have been the force which pulled most of the industrialised world forward from subsistence farming into sitting here argueing intellectual subjects on the internet...

  • This video makes me LOL!

I soo hope Nick Clegg loses his seat at the next Election and the Lib Dems get slaughtered. Lets face it, it's going to happen :')

Roll on the end of the Lib Dems

  • @SamMitchell90 looking at the current polls, labour are back in come next election. and that is before the huge cuts have taken place.

  • @SamMitchell90 Go end yourself...

  • For those who say they now hate the LibDems.... Have you thought about what a Lib-Dem majority would be like ?????

  • 2010: Thank's to those of you who voted Liberal Democrat we now have a Tory government once again!

  • The tories are sick, they cause mass unemployment and they tell people it is the unemployed people's fault for being lazy.

  • fucking torie scum, the rich get richer while the poor get poorer, all politicians give broken promises, i have never voted and never will, why because there all lieing cunts !

  • POLITICAL PROSTITOOTS!!!!1!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is the history of the Liber democrats, a party that was created in the 80's, then why do they claim credit for the achivments of the liberal party?

  • What is a Liberal Democrat promise worth??

I would love to hear your answer. Please base it on recent actions that followed promises.

  • the only good leader we had in this country was Wiston Churchill, he was the man who held Britain together in a time great peril, now someone like David Camaron, Grodon Brown or Nick Clegg would rather bow down to the devil & lick his backside with all that is going in Britain now our rights being taken away unless you prey to Alla The Tories used tobe patriotic now there no better than Labour & as for Lib I thought could trust them but they're in bed with the Tory Party

  • No political party is perfect. You can't bash one without bashing your own.

  • LOL, i wonder if Pinnochio Clegg has seen this...

  • i find the video funny because the political prostitutes (lib dems) went into government with the tory party

  • Socialist lazy union scum.

  • Lots of low paid workers had no right whatsoever to any form of paid holiday and would work for a lifetime never to have one - including staff at a household name 'holiday company'. Only a select salaried few at those holiday camps had paid holidays as part of their contracts while the majority had none. It's a bit rich to see a pro Lib-Dumb broadcast here.

  • A great man called Theodore Isaac Rubin said kindness is more important than wisdom, and the recognition of this is the beginning of wisdom. Lets work as a team and help each other thats the key my friends.

  • Words are what you see, some of us just see black and white; It's the grey area of life one needs to try and see and understand thats the key not right or wrong my friends. till later take care and happy sailing all.

  • The sheer hypocrisy of this video promoted by the Lib Dems would be amusing and ironic to say the least if it wasn't for the fact that it is oh so true, The great Liberals of the past, Gladstone, Beverige, Keynes, are now turning in their graves at this betrayal of liberal ideals, then again what are the liberal ideals that clegg believes in, reducing the state, the nessesity of economic neoliberalism, savage cuts, the lib dem party has alot in common with their Tory alies.

  • and now the lib dems are in collusion

  • No we love the NHS Sarah Palin is a joke and doesn't know anything

  • But don't you guys have death panels with the NHS? Sarah Palin said you guys do.

  • @Theblizzardking Palin doesn't know what she's talking about. We, arguably, have the best health care in the world.

  • @ToManyPhones I wouldn't say the best but one of the best certainly.

  • @Theblizzardking No we don't.

See Sarah Palin lies, if you have trouble doing research on her statements then I can help.

The simplest way to tell if Palin is lying is too look and see if her lips move.

  • It will be interesting to see how the Lib Dems airbrush history in about 5 years time after they've put millions on the dole by supporting Cameron's cuts, after they've denied basic services to vulnerable people by cutting council spending, after they've helped the Tories tip us into a double dip recession and for what? - A half hearted promise for a referendum on a voting system that is not even half proportional and a big fancy office for lightweight Clegg to strutt around in.

  • @npe1 Agree wholeheartedly, Clegg's lost all liberal credentials.

  • lol, lets do a slideshow on Labour's 13 latest years in power. Ruined NHS, Public Services, Social Welfare, Education costs, the list goes on lol Fuck New Labour and the damage they have caused to our country.

  • Oh the hypocricy of this video is now wonderfully ironic! :D

  • @ToManyPhones LOL So true....

  • LibDem/SNP/SinnFein/Welsh/etc. = United Kingdom ! while... Torres = England ! If they go it alone then there is a theme for the next election ! I have a new idea for the next manufacturing theme and tax scheme that is in different catogories from 0% to 9% sort of a variable idea. If the US wont do it then the UK could do it. Evacuation of the Labour party into the LibDems during this time and afterwards.

  • You LibDems say all this about the Tories and now you want to form a government with them!? You're all just power hungry hypocrites.

  • So funny. This see through cellophane Repub look-a-like Cameron can't even win when the economy is screwed (though now recovering under Labor). Looking at him on videos, it is so obvious what he is, an agent of the companies and banks. The UK's "Empire" has bitten it hard. And the economic desertion of the "Commonwealth" to join the EU in the 70s has done the same: half the population must be Polish by now.

  • Can the Liberal Democrats confirm they will not prop up a Tory government in the event of a hung parliament?

  • the Tories over the last 13 years? Let's see,

voted against : the introduction of the minimum wage, devolution, equalizing the age of consent for gay men, Adoption by gay couples, civil partnerships, the ban on hunting with? dogs.

Voted in favour of : invading Iraq.

and let's not forget joining with a group of right wing extremists in the european parliament.

  • 4. The government can't afford to pay for 50% of young people to go the university - the idea is that university students shouldn't need subsidising anyway because by going to university they're increasing their earning potential

    6. The Iraq War is not illegal

    7. The Lib Dems wish to introduce a smaller nuclear deterrent, but none currently exist, so it would cost far more to develop a new one than Trident

I'm not saying Vote Tory, but at least look at the facts a bit more objectively.

  • @cjtreid Yes yes yes one of the first people i have seen on youtube actually viewing the elections intelligently and objectively instead of spewing stereotypical baseless crap- I found it so refreshing I thought it deserved more than a thumbs up haha

  • 1. No "leading" tories wish to abolish the NHS - just Daniel Hannan, a rogue backbencher

    2. Rejecting electoral reform is something both Conservative AND Labour governments have always done

    3. British industry was dying pre-Thatcher, to the point where the government was in so much debt it couldn't afford to subsidise it any more, particularly given the workers were all on strike.

    continued.....

  • cunts!!

  • Well that was completely misleading. So what have the Lib Dems done while the Conservatives have been fixing the country over all these years? Sitting on their arses growing beards and wearing sandals, that's what. The Lib Dems are a waste of space, people see Nick Clegg on TV and vote for them without knowing anything about their policies.

We need a government that actually knows what it's doing, which means a Conservative government.

  • I'm still voting Tory after that. Lib Dems are just airbrushed Labour. The British people are intelligent, they will see through the Lib Dems Leftist lies and David Cameron will be the next Prime Minister even if it is a hung parliament, so get over it.

  • What's with all you faggot students voting Lib Dem because it's the cool thing to do? Fucking Retards.

  • @0MeaNis0 It's not just the cool thing to do. ITS THE RIGHT THING TO DO!!!!!!!

  • @totalugia Nerd

  • What's the music?

  • And then in 30 seconds time I realised,

I'll need the votes of the common people,

I must pretend to do the things that common people do.

Then I'll shit on the common people,

Then I'll shit on common people like YOU,

What else would I do? I'm a Tory and that's what we do!

  • THIS party the lib dems would destroy The UK

  • To be fair, we opposed the minimum wage because we thought it would increase unemployment. Everyone can be wrong. I'd have said the bigger issue is that they have two guys who flipped their 2nd home designations and profited on the sale of taxpayer property IN THE SHADOW CABINET (Ken Clarke and Andrew Lansley) along with a tax dodger (Ashcroft), a homophobe (Grayling) and Gideon Osbourne. It's not their past which is the problem, it's their present.

  • @Faboba Everyone can be wrong?

    hahahah!

    But you're wrong about everything!

  • " Forget the past, " I'm afraid those who do so are doomed to repeat it.

  • An absurd and largely eroneous account of history

  • Just pay attention to the now part is all I am saying. Labour has changed, Lib Dems have changed and the Conservatives have changed. The Conservatives of today aren't the Conservatives of yesteryear. This is as anyone should know is a maneuver. Forget the past, if you can't then you may as well dig up why the Lib Dems have failed to get in so often.

  • @NDawn Those who don't learn the lessons from the mistakes of history are destined to repeat them

  • A person is not given integrity. It results from the relentless pursuit of honesty at all times. And that's what we have with Mr Clegg and a man that has worked all around the world, a man with many tools.

  • tories rock!

  • @artysm7 Thanks to the Tories most of my family spent the 1980's on the dole yay!

  • Margaret Thatcher Milk Snatcher!!! - and personally i have no faith in David Cameron, On the 'first election debate' he was very unclear on the conservative's policies and wasted alot of time repeating the questions! as Brown said its not question time its answer time! The Tories didnt deliver then and won't deliver now!

    Give Libdems a chance!

  • The Democrats favoured slavery. IMPEACH OBAMA!

  • The facts speak for themselves telling you the truth, yes I'm guilty of not seeing the facts. I'm sorry but millions like me did believe them. But in todays world when you have 7/24 news , U-TUBE plus the rest of the internet you can see and hear the truth, so don't fall into the same trap as I and my friends did.

  • Nick Clegg is a man of integrity, look at the conservative & labours behaviour over the last 50 years it has been diabolical. All the false statements made with deliberate intent to deceive us so Lord Ashcroft could be a Lord. Ive been a Conservative for more than 55 years, and Im sick of all the smoke & mirrors and broken promises, one after another. My wife and I with friends will be voting for the LibDems its time for change so lets do it.

  • @UBUBBOO a man of integrity? how exactly? he has no more integrity than cameron. brown's a monster though.

  • @UBUBBOO rofl, biggest load of bullshit I've ever heard. All that he wants is to get into power, he's just as bad as the rest of them lol

  • @UBUBBOO Yea Cleggs a man of integrity, of course he is and so are the rest of the Libdems, what a joke. We are all Con-Demed now.

  • @UBUBBOO Do you still think this?

  • @UBUBBOO LOL so ironic ...

  • @UBUBBOO Well, that was a wasted vote wasn't it!

  • @UBUBBOO How'd that go for ya ?

  • @UBUBBOO Ahahaha, lets see him make another pledge shall we?

  • @UBUBBOO how'd that go for you then?

Wish I hadn't made the same mistake.

  • Lib Dums are at it again..splinters anyone? You'd have to be slightly unhinged to vote for this party

  • The Tories have been cocking up since the beginning of parliamentary democracy in this country.

  • i like the lib dems

  • Vote Conservative.

  • @Catholicism777 hell yeah!

  • How the fuck is this about airbrush history?

  • No need to, as usual, be vicious; lib dims ARE the nasty party of British politics.

  • Thatcher introduced Reaganomics to this country, one of the main causes of the breakdown of society as it encourages people to act selfishly. No wonder she denied that there was even such a thing as society.

  • @tomwash1 Hahahaha. That is the funniest thing I have ever heard. Ronald Reagan copied Maggie Thatcher. Reagan was the American Thatcher not the other way around. Reagan took office in 1981.

  • @JohnRhysMusician I suggest you do some research on this subject, you might find that I'm right.

  • Libdems dont really have any history part from failing leaders and thats it.

  • Ian Duncan Smith? Great success?

  • I don't understand why you mention devolution as if it was urgent and has made everything wonderful in wales and scotland. The Scottish devolution referendum showed strong support for it, fair enough, but the welsh devolution referendum turned a very narrow "yes" majority on a 50% turnout, and assembly elections have had dismal turnouts since then, yet the assembly insists on more and more powers it doesn't know how to use. The alternative to the tories was kinnock, who was also against it.

  • I think this proves its point to say that the conservative video was horribly biased, so's this, the two balance out.

Lib Dems arent Perfect, but I'd vote for them before the Cons or the Labour sellouts,

  • Yeah go! I will die before I vote Conservative! As for the Tuition fees thing, they want to increase Uni fees to £7,000 a year. Disgusting, this is Tory middle class self-projection at its finest. "they will have to provide better services" he says, well, I'm sure they will! It's a bloody shame though, that only the middle class children will get to feel the benefits, as no working class person will ever be able to afford to go to university!

  • Let Me Tell You a few a Facts Nick Clegg,

    1. Margaret Thatcher did not take away the milk from 8 to 11 Year old, It was Anthony Barber's 1971 Budget.

    2. If the Tories are so bad how comes the Lib Dems haven't been in power for 93 years.

    3. You Keep Jeremy Thorpe's Two Scandal covered up about him trying to kill his ex - boyfriend.

    4. You Skipped out Harold Macmillan why because he was the greatest Prime Minister in Modern Times.

    5. You sound so unpatriotic and so Anti-British.

  • Yep and your chancellor George Osbourne is as smart as a donkeys testicles. He said why are we still in rescission when other countries are. It is obvious that other countries are out of rescission because they have strong manufacturing Canda has tin Germany has cars. What do we have? A handful of factories, and financial services. Something that slag thatcher took away. Ozzy has no clue so vote conservatives but you are cutting your nose off to spite your face!

  • 1. BRB RESEARCH LOL

    2. Rhetorical question

    3. Meh

    4. Opinion

    5. Opinion.

    Well done on those facts.

  • - The proesting of Trade Unions was destroying Britain

    - Section 28 was a good thing. Tax payers money should not be used to promote homosexuality

    - Social chapter? You libs really would just sell Britain out to Europe...

    - As a student I support tuition fees

    - Trident keeps the nation safe as it is a deterent. Just you libs not to respect that.

Just to be clear... This video has made me support the Conservatives and hate you Libs more...

    Just so you know.

  • I do not think the lib dems will miss one voter? Do you?

  • Whether it is "promoting" homosexuality or not is debatable. Fact is, we NEED education on important social issues like this.

Why do you support tuition fees?

Yes, because nukes are going to make a big fucking difference to al-Qaeda aren't they?

  • I support tuition fees because it gives more money to Universities. However, subjects such as Science, Mathematics and Engineering-like-subjects should be free entirely.

Nukes always make a big difference.

  • How to judge which subjects should be free and which shouldn't

  • A couple of things

    - Suez out of the Governments control. The Egyptians nationalised it.

    - Thatcher took away milk. GOOD - You can give children milk or build schools. If the state provides milk, I cannot picture parents affording schools

    - Devolution is bad!

    - So the Liberal Democrats will allow every immigrant into the country? Thanks, I am right. I should never vote for you

    - The economy was stronger... that doesnt sound like death to me

  • No, devolution is good. We need more local control and local accountabililty. Having Welsh money bugger off to London and trickle back isn't entirely fair, is it?

  • Welsh money going somewhere? hahaha how funny. The Welsh receive huge amounts from English taxes. Enjoy OUR money :D

  • The Lib dems will get my vote.

Cameron and Brown won't reform expenses and will continue our meltdown.

  • Forget all this trviial and nonsensical stuff.

Look at all the people starving in India and Pakistan. Where is the help from the UK, huh? Where is it? The UK may give a few thousand Pounds to India every few months to help them but what use is that? That is peanuts. The British government spends literally millions on the NHS each year so why not raise aid money to India?

Also, there are not enough non-White people in these videos.

  • Why should there be non-whit people in the video? They showed facts- the people who were responsible for the short-comings of the conservative party were shown in the pictures, had one of them been non-white, they would have been shown, but they were all white, so the pictures only showed white people.

  • I think the video was pretty self explanatory. Thatcher was the cause for some of the biggest street riots this country has ever seen. She was a useless politician and will always be the milk snatcher

  • lol irony

  • what is this????? liberal democrats will never get in power-they have not been in power since the first world war-wonder why?? libdems are weak despite there alliance with social democrats.

  • All points are true with two acceptions: 1-Britain has been swamped with immigrants whether you think its a bad thing or good. 2-At the time the ANC were terrorists, killing thousands or innocents, even if there cause was seen as just.....HOWEVER - this is an official Lib Dem video, with not even a mention of Lib Dem policies. Its sleaze, spin and completely unneccesary. I'm from Scotland and thus would NEVER vote tory, but after all the immature games I doubt very much if i could vote LD now

  • well, out of the big 3, they are the best we have. no party can possibly be perfect.

  • I wouldn't even class the British system as a "Big 3". Labour and Conservatives are the only 2 who get in. Is there even anyone left alive who could remember a Liberal government?

I would say the Liberal Democrats would be as destructive as the BNP if they got into office.

  • well, there are labour and conservatives, and the lib dems seem to be growing quite fast, so yeh, big 3

    id disagree

  • Well UKIP is seems to be growing faster than the Lib Dems but I can't imagine them getting into Parliament let alone governement.

The BNP prides itself on being the countries fastest growing party but I can't image a single BNP MP in Parliament!

Lib Dems haven't been in office for nearly 100 years. Big 2. Don't kid yourself.

  • Comment removed

  • A brilliant video, it is good to remind the electorate of the Tories recent past. David call me Dave Cameron and the Conservatives havent changed; John Bercow just goes to prove this.

  • Liberal Democrats = The way forward.

  • Excellent! The British people don't have memories as short as David Cameron hopes. Labour relied on people forgetting their past record in 1997. Now the Tories are set to play the same trick on us. But most people want a change from the two establishment parties, which colluded to take us to war in Iraq, colluded to try to keep MPs' expenses secret, and colluded to block moves to keep big money out of politics. Don't let the party of big business or the party of big unions deceive u ever again.

  • You gives a fuck about the past if we did we would be recalling the strikes from when Labour were in. Brown has fucked this country and now we need a change.

  • We don't know what the Lib Dems would be like in power...I say give them a chance, they can't be as bad as Lab/Con and their powerhungry corrupted ways.

  • @hollium ohhh yeah let's just gamble on a wishy washy party, why not lol

  • @artysm7 If you hate the wishy-washy, I guess you've have been comfortable as a nazi.

  • I don't agree with much of what the Tories opposed, but I agree with Camerons opposition to gay adoption, gay people should be able to do what they want in private, its their choice, but bringing a kid into it? No.

  • I was recently made homeless, so i went to the bank of england

made some real street art outside the bank and put on ebay for the homeless

    i made a vid

    Tagzee

  • you can't bring up something that happened 100years ago in line with today it's a differernt party with COMPLETELy different people - 50's I'll give tou but you can really only say 60's onwards

Great video still - 5 starts - I'll Facebook it now

  • Thanks. The Conservatives made their own video claiming that what happened 100 years ago showed they are "progressives" - this is a response.

  • didn't know that - thank you very much - I hope to see ads like this on TV when the election is up - you need to talk more about our membership of the EU to stop UKIP kicking our arse and also talk more about the fact that you propse people earning less than £9,000 (?) a year wouldn't pay tx - this will not only get people voting LibDem but registering to vote.

    Peace.

  • @LibDem whats the music? xx

  • I can only echo some of the sentiments already said. I think that many of the things were inevitable, like bloody Sunday and the Bosnian ethnic cleansing - (for which they sent troops).

But I agree, a Con/Lib parliament would be more interesting than the current set-up. However, you would find that under PR, it would become far more extreme on the spectrum - as parties would have to form coalitions with smaller, more extreme parties.

  • If only Maggie was around now. But there again a chip could do a better job that Brown.

  • Don't have a go at the tories video. It was cute! As others have said: can't blame them for suez, that was Eden, or Bloody Sunday.

Yes let's make the Liberal party a strong opposition. They are a good check-and-balance to Conservatives when in power. Can't see anything wrong with the Thatcher quotes. Student fees are a fact and necessary, speaking as a student. What are you talking about-Osborne is all for idependence of the Bank of England...and denying climate change wtf? Anyway its them-2010

  • you can't say they were to blame for bloody sunday. also the Suez Crisis was practically down to Eden alone, not the Conservative party as a whole. And voting systems will always have flaws no matter which it is. fptp gurantees wasted votes but it does create a stable government. as opposed to coalition governments. But I don't support the Conservatives.

  • Much more of this is required if the Lib Dems are to make progress of any value in the coming election. An election, as we all know, the Tories will win. This will obviously be a disaster for our country - I'm waiting for the day that rightwing politics is kicked into touch for good - but that's another story.

It's time to a) Take back the Liberals position as main opposition by kicking Labour while they're down.

    b) HALT THE RISE OF THE FAR RIGHT WHILE WE HAVE THE CHANCE.

  • wasnt that bad under concervatives work wise the money was spot on i brought my first car brand new in cash and my house took me 5 years to pay off just working in a foundry todays world is diffrent as you paying for everybodys debts , but for me out the 2 worlds i perfered the cons as they wasnt very bright was small and kept out your face so could have a life ,crime was bad though is why they banned handguns which was dumb but they was trying to abolish the poor as they wouldnt go away heh

  • I like this video :]

    Make one about labour too.

  • I want to like this video, but there are some problems with it. According to a recent blog on lib dem voice, the Tories were more pro NHS than many in the Labour party when it was first intorduced, with Labour only setting up the NHS due to support from the Tories and Liberals, plus the fact that they had a huge majority which could absorb rebellions.

Secondly, no one could argue that Bloody Sunday was the fault of the Tories. We are still trying to figue out who's to blame, at great cost.

  • Wow, a well made video for once.

  • I don't agree entirely, you should make a video of all the bad things labour have done instead (: It would be a good thing that the conservatives win the next general election, for the sake of getting rid of Gordon Brown and bringing some fresh blood and thinking to our weak government. However, I would like to add that the LibDems in my opinion deserve to become the main opposition group, instead of Gordon's lot. Conservative vs Liberal would be so much more interesting (:

  • There's a very good video to watch called "Taking Liberties since 1997" which is a well made documentary highlighting the erosion of civil liberties under the Labour government

  • As a Lib Dem I think this is a good clip, but even better idea upload a clip to boast of what we as Liberal Democrats, SDP/Liberal Alliance, and Liberal Parties have done, too show it is not only the Tories that have a proud history.

  • Maybe it will be their next video, there were one or two things which they mentioned Liberal governments doing before, but not enough.
