@jdogg288 Sometimes it's needed. It's useful but it removes the dynamics in the wavelength. Check out this thing called the 'loudness war'. Very interesting.
Well played and OK sound. Perhaps aim the sound to be a little more open next time, and you'll be on the nose IMO. Also center your playing a bit more around the actual groove rather on a million quads. Apart from that nicely done ^^

For a sound check you shouldn't just beat up your set. lay a grove, slow it down, speed it up, play soft and play loud. I know you have the erg to show off for YouTube but to true drummers looking at your video we see shit different. Anyways, just my opinion not trying to start something with all you YouTube retards.. It was awesome to me for the first minute!

I think its crap. All of it. It wasn't even recorded properly. I couldn't hear the splashes and sound of certian toms and cymbals cut out. It's not even that fast.

@NateFreyre We used Sennheiser e604's on the snare and toms, AKG D 112's on the two kick drums, a Shure SM-81 over the high-hat and and right-side crashes, and an Audio-Technica AT4030 SE over the left side crash/ride/china. So, it's a mix-mash of different brands and models.
