Not really a fan of Mr Collins, backing group gives this a warm feeling though Phil looking ernest made me laugh and I want to cry why I hear this song. The simplicity of Dusty Springfield's version is its strength

Phil Collins' talent is perfectly aged and well-rounded like a fine wine. After providing a wonderful percussion'd layer to the artful sound of Genesis, he gave great throaty tenor vocals to the band as well, eventually doing the same on a deep level with his solo career. It's sad that he's retired, but it shows that he's a true performer, because he'll forever leave us wanting more.
