Actually it was not a session, it was a concert, and it was really terrific anyway. I recorded it with a simple Sony still camera, right up front, which accounts for the short shots, rough editing, and poor sound quality. Joe did a great job .
Well hello, Knobs the Clown. I made the video for fun - not as an entry to the film festival. Anyway, I went to look at your videos, but there aren't any. Lots of negative comments on other nice folks videos, peppered with some big words you probably pulled out of your dictionary. One positive thing I can say about you is that you seems to like Joe Walsh, so we can agree about that.
Yep, this has always been a great signature Joe Walsh song. Another guitarist who plays this song with style and respect for the original is the great Pete Haycock (ex-Climax Blues Band guitarist) who now plays with a new band, Pete Haycock's True Blues. There are many YouTube clips of him and the band from their tour of Germany and Switzerland recently. Check out their new Live CD too -- there's a version of 'Rocky Mountain Way' on it (available through RMI Sound website) -- you'll dig it!
I should keep up better with my youtube account. I am just now seeing your response. You're right about the version through the RMI Sound website... It is great...
Great song, but this session was fucked up.

Tried a few pieces and hoped that they'd fit
But my life went so fast and so quickly and
Now it's gone forever..............."

Joe Walsh never got better than this; but really, who could, or even come close.... He raised the bar and it has never been topped!
