  • Do you have all of this sketch somewhere? Can you put it up? Oh can you!

  • i love the change from acting mode to the i'm gonna pis my pant's this was so funny mode. he looks great here but i prefer his late 40s look got some more meat on him ;)

  • jerr's soooooo cute when he smiles, just make me wanna smile hehe :)

  • wow, it's amazing how he makes his face look like Brando when he imitates him.

he really was gorgeous, it's true. We weren't aware of that when we were kids, we just

    knew we loved him :)

  • @urthcreature

Was? He is still very much alive!

  • who has this whole clip, dear god, please, someone upload this whole sketch, its my favorite one ever

  • @Hadeydeppio ITS THE BEST SKETCH THEY EVER DID, and i want to see again sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo bad

  • @TheMashuggina omg NOO help me find it!!!! "the whole thing they should play!" hahah.

  • @Hadeydeppio i know!!! im searching everywhere!!!!! its not fairrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • youn dun't wunt be-ah?

  • Anyone who knows which episode Christopher Walken appears in?

  • Brando and The Continental. Well said.

  • @TXAZMigra thats what dean says in the sketch, that hes looking for a cross btwn marlong brando and the continental

  • "you been goin' to the gym ain't ya" hahah hilarious xD

  • great :) he looks like jim carrey...and sean hayes mostly

  • You know ?,i'm surprised he can keep a 'straight' face for as long as he does doing this ; it might be cos of familiarity with the routine and the constant rehearsal of it beforehand that helps

  • where is the whole sketch to this?

  • I really admire actors who can keep going when things go wrong. He obviously lost it, but regained it quickly.

  • @cmt39 Yeah but corpsing is always more funny than if it goes to plan, as its funny to see a good performer who is making you laugh anyway, become themselves and kind of human and vulnerable losing control and realising it.The performer probably thinks theyve messed things up cos they want to be perfect but like in this clip, for the audience it's a lot of fun

  • what clip is this from?

  • "you want a BEEEEEEEEEr!"

  • i love when he does the hair thing at 2:36.

    hahhahaaha.

  • It is so weird to me how his persona can change so completely and so suddenly, like when he goes from his spoof character to his regular Jerry Lewis character. It's like a completely different person!!!

  • lol he almost lost it when he cleared the table...but he regained it...but once he saw that hand...he wasn't able to keep it anymore...XD and i also love when he switches from the low voice to his high squeeky voice at the end so quickly and smoothly :)

  • @52vegeta52 It's strange how a split second loss of concentration or focus in this kind of work can be so funny. It's like he becomes the audience for a moment instead of the performer when something makes him THINK of how funny something he's done is ; i dont think it's so much the hand that makes him lose it but the next line about the Gym which makes him realise how funny it is and distracts him.I always think that 'corpsing' is much funnier than when things go smooth the whole way

  • What did he say at 2:22 ? I don't understand everything because I'm french

Thanks very much for posting this clip, he's so amusing

Be good time all of you with J.L

  • @cherryn89

"You been goin' to the gym, ain't you."

  • @igvmyslf1000pts

    Thanks for your answer

I understand now why they're laughing

  • @cherryn89 he said "you been goin to the gym aint ya" LoL

  • I just can't get enough of this clip, so funny!!

  • Long live Jerry Lewis :) He made so many people laugh

  • My favorite clip!

  • HE is SO GOOD!!!

  • Hahahaah omg

  • wheres the full episode =( i would seriously kill for that full skit man

  • He was gorgeous as is talent!

  • I think he uses this spoof character to play Uncle Bugsy in "Family Jewels".

  • I love his face he makes at the hand!! Hahahaha!!! I could watch this all day long!

  • Just love it. Blabremal? What's that? 1:45-2:05 is hilarious. He ALMOST laughs and his face is just lovely.

  • @Jessmira23 I think he says "Beau Brummell" who was the guy who established men's clothing fashion in the 1700's. According to wikipedia, he is said to have taken 4 hours to dress, and polished his shoes with champagne.

  • @seajayaway Thanks! I was waiting so long for someone to clear that up :) In another skit he says the same thing and Dean actually corrects him while laughing. Cute :)

  • 2:25-2:42 *swoon*

I could literally watch him smile all day. He's gorgeous when he smiles.

Well, he's gorgeous period. But when he smiles, it's just too sweet.lol

  • Freakin'. Hilarious. Watched him crack up about five times right in a row.

  • Gosh he is such a cutie pie when he tries to keep a straight face after the "You've been going to the gym ain't ya sweetheart?" LOLOL

  • 2:18 LMAO!!!! "You been goin to the gym, aint ya?" hes so cute when he tries to keep a straight face after

  • There are SO many SNL sketches that owe their inspiration to things like this.

  • Look at his surprised face at 2:51!

  • o my at 2:26 that gorgeous goofy smile of his O how I adore him

  • LOL 0:51

  • do you have the whole skit?

  • hahaha...I absolutely love it!!...He's so adorable...*grins*...

  • that was awesome!

  • What is "The Continental"?

  • It was a show where a suave dude would look into the camera and tell the female viewers how he would romance them. SNL famously spoofed it with Christopher Walken as the Intercontinental

  • My goodness. He's gorgeous!

  • Isnt 'corpsing' an incredible thing ? Its caused when you think about it by a loss of concentration or focus on what youre doing and instead actually THINK ABOUT what youre doing and see it from the audiences perspective but how brilliant it always is and amazing how they can get composure back after theyve lost it !

  • He's so adorable! I could just squeeze him. I meant that in a goo way, though. Lol. I love Jerry :D.

  • if a guy did that to me i would be worried, but if he looked like Jerry Lewis, then eh, i wouldn't mind :D

  • Jerry is sooo funny!! i love watching these old clips. thanks so much. every now and then, i just need a colgate comedy hour pick-me-up.

and wow, people used to have such a joyous time in those old audiences. things were actually laugh out loud funny and creative. we need more variety shows instead of reality shows.

  • What is the first thing he says?!?!

  • "Don't be afraid sweetheart, it's only my apartment."

  • ahaa!! hahaha

  • Fans youre so right. JERRY LEWIS was great looking during COLGATE COMEDY HOUR tyears. he wasnt the monkey as he terms himself. he was a looker better thanDean. ah i miss those days. live comedy, Eddie Cantor Abbott&Costello,Fred Allen & Martin&Lewis in their prime. Tv at its best. the golden 50s. This tv filmhistorian here knew many of these stars of yesteryear. thanks Youtube and thank you JERRY LEWIS. youre still great. TOMK

  • I really like this skit here. He looks so handsome when he's really smiling :).

  • Oh my goodness, I know!

He has one of the most gorgeous smiles I've ever seen :)

  • Yeah! It also made me laugh when there was this freaky hand that came in. That expression of his was priceless. Lol.

  • haha.. right.. when the hand came in I was like WTH? ... then his face made me double over in laughter haha

    He is the greatest.

  • He aint bad looking

  • he's so awesome

  • he looks absolutely gorgeous when he's really laughing :)

  • i love Jerry Lewis

  • He has the most beautiful eyes when he smiles - genuinely to the camera

  • Jerry Lewis e tudo de bom!!!!!

  • dude when i watched this at home im pretty positive i made the same face when i saw that hand come in hahaha so random!

  • Jokes! That was priceless. Where do you get all this footage from?

  • dvd's called "The Colgate Codemy hour"

  • The best part is at 2:12. I just love Jerry Lewis!

  • Saudades do nosso humorista internacional...love jerry lewis

  • He is IS the King of comedy!!!

  • one of a kind.he is the best ever

  • i'm just gonna say, people from the 40's and 50's could be REALLY easily entertained, but i guess a generation WOWED by the light bulb and musicals would have seen this as AWESOME, but Jerry is really good at getting into character and all

  • Dude, comedians these days suck. Abott and Costello, Jerry Lewis etc are 10 times funnier. I can't think of any great comedians of late who have the longivity of the greats. If you take out the laughter of the people who paid $80 to see them live you wouldn't find them quite so funny either.

  • Absolutely love this sketch. Noone comes even close to the talent and comic abilities of the handsome genius that is Jerry Lewis and his equally handsome partner Dean Martin.

  • Slapstick ur face

  • Then stop searching for videos of him on YouTube! Keep your negative opinions to yourself!

  • Watching the telethon now, this is classic jerry thankx.

  • Loved him all my life and still do.

Friends and I used to work at the MD telethon years ago in NY with him.

I still donate each Labor Day. never missed a year I did not donate.

  • Beer! BEER!!

  • VVV Yeah, we has pretty darn cute. VVV lol!

  • Jerry Lewis is still the most hansome man on earth!

  • Jerry the man

    The charrty guy

    the nuyyt perfeser from hell

  • Coherency please.

  • kool

  • I love the face he makes when he says "BEER".

    Hilarious!

  • jerry lewis still alive hanging in there the last of the greats

  • Brilliant. A true genius.

  • He's so cute.

  • i love jerry lewis

  • Im 12 years old and love dean and jerry.

Kids call me crazy and say this stuff

is stupid but really there stupid for not relizing the fun and laughter jerry and dean have brought all around the world.

  • hey, poeple make fun of me for liking these two as well....but most people these days dont have a sense of humour anymore...jerry and dean will always be the best comedians ever!!!

  • I'm 20 and new to Jerry Lewis myself. I've been a fan for several months now after dicovering The Nutty Professor and have bought his films ever since. He's a true legend, him and the great Dean Martin. I'm still trying to get my hands on the set of the colgate comedy hour, I only have volumes 1 & 2. And yes, I agree with MrKiwi63, some people these days have no sense of humor at all. Old habits die hard! You can never get any better than the classics.

  • i am 14 just two yrs older and i think the are soooooooo funny i think they are the best! dont worry about it oh and i am reading this book and it is about them it is called, Dean and Me. it is by Jerry Lewis it is a very good book! :)

  • I have that book 2! Its FANTASTIC!!! Such an amazing story about these 2! it made me cry.

  • Very Well said!!!

  • WANNA PLAY CHECKERS?...sooo funny

  • what SNL skit?

  • its with the AMAZING Christopher Walkins He plays this creepy guy who invite a woman to his apartment and the whole time try to get her in to bed!!! Classic!!

  • I remember that now. That is an awesome skit. I can totally see him doing something that Jerry had already done since Jerry is the one who told him he should pursue his career in acting.

  • OOOOHHH so this is where that SNL skit comes from thats GREAT!!

  • I LOVE HIM!!!!!!!

  • "I'm a multi-faceted, talented, wealthy, internationally famous genius. I have an IQ of 190 -- that's supposed to be a genius. People don't like that. My answer to all my critics is simple: I like me. I like what I've become. I'm proud of what I've achieved, and I don't really believe I've scratched the surface yet".-Jerry Lewis

  • Melanie you are a very interesting girl. Cant stop watching the colgate clips. Thanks for all the laughs.

  • What an idiot ! in the best way of course !

  • 2:25 - He just couldn't stop it :D

    Love you Jerry!

  • I ADORE HIM,HE IS SO FUNNY!

  • Damn wish I was married to him, I'd have had a brilliant funny life with him. His wife was a lucky woman.

  • If you weren't so short in wouldn'ta got on you baby!

    PERFECTION

  • SUPER GENIAL

  • YA dont want beer!! Haha

  • I love the clawed hand coming out of the camera for the cigarette. he's so smooth

  • VERY FUNNY!!!!!!!!! JAJAJAJ

  • Yeah, alot of people like different types of comedy...I personally LOVE Jerry Lewis...but some people just can't get a hold of his type of comedy and some just don't understand it, i guess...?

  • I like slapstick comedy, and I love Jerry Lewis, is the best comedian with Dean Martin

  • what a cassinova...hahaha

  • There is nothing today that even comes close to this great genius

  • Hahahaha! I love when Jerry looses it.lol I love you Jer!

  • Can't get entertainment like this anymore...you know...ACTUAL entertainment...not that crap they throw at us now...ugh.

  • Jerry is just magic in this. Where can we get all of his old shows

  • SO FUNNY! Jerry always makes me smile.

  • what dvd collection is it ? I got one, with 5 dvds, but here at youtube I see new Clips with Lewis and Martin on the Comedy Hour...has anybody got a link for me ? It would be great...

  • Jerry se ve demasiado sexy aqui, jejejej

  • Jerry is cute, he is awesome!!

  • Pre-Saturday Night Live genius!

  • Excelent!!

  • the original Continental

  • "You don't want beer?" Love it when he says that! He is so cute!

  • Jerry is awesome!

  • Only Christopher Walken's occasional attempts at parodying "The Continental" on "SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE" matched this. You must realize that "THE CONTINENTAL" was seen nationally (and in New York) during the '50s, with Renzo Cesana delivering an ultra-romantic monologue at the women in the audience...VERY smooth, suave and sophisticated.

  • Jerry´s the best! He is so cute. It makes me feel like hugging him!!!

  • isn't he awesome?!

  • Every thing about Jerry is cute. He's adorably funny.

  • myfavorite is giesha boy with harry the rabbit sooo funny

  • IF U HAVE TO ASK, DON'T ASK!

  • I am confused by your comment. What are you referring to pray tell??

  • he`s sooo cute when he messes up.

    i love him<3

to the person who posted this (i belive your name is MEL) THANK YOU!

  • jerry is a genious!! he's got the cutest smile.

  • I love his quirky smile, too cute.

  • He's got a very cute smile!

  • I love the way he dance to. My first movie I saw with Jerry Lewis was also Nutty Professor. I just love his style of comedy, He's a genious. He is handsome so of course I like his smile and his gestures just make you fall in love with him even more. I guess for me, He is a cool classic man. Just from that alone He pulls me in. He is just so talented and dramatic, I watch just to see what he will do next. I just love me some JERRY LEWIS.

  • i love when he offers the cigarette and you see the hand and his eyes get all big like "what theeee-?"

    hehe :-P

  • I have a question, i never really thought that someone around my age would be interested in Jerry Lewis. I a very big fan of his and i was wondering how some of you came to love him so much.

  • I grew up watching him in movies and sometimes on television, but the time that I really started getting into him was when I first saw The Nutty Professor (I was about nine) and I was completely marveled at how someone could change character and voice and everything like that so easily. He became a big inspiration to me for comedy, and so I started getting more creative with it; the rest is histroy.

  • Very cool, the very first movie i saw with him was Living It Up. After the jitterbug i was hooked. Not very many comedians can dance like that, let alone make me laugh.

  • Very true. I think a lot of it has to do with the era he grew up in, and also, his mother was a professional dancer for Vaudeville. I love watching him dance. It's great! I fell in love with swing dancing at a very young age, and my grandpa taught me how to jitterbug, and when I was about 16 I took professional lessons in CA. I still dance today, not as frequent as I would like though. I'll be getting back into it soon.

  • My friend and I were Dean Martin fans, and we started watching some Dean and Jerry stuff, and after that Jerry just became my hero. I love him!

  • That's EXACTLY what happened to me! Come for Dean, stay for Jerry.

  • I just saw this last night at like, 2:45 in the morning, and I laughed SO hard because 2 minutes into the skit I rememebered Christopher Walken doing this kind of skit on SNL, and it just clicked. But Jerry is SO much funnier...naturally.

  • i was just bout to ask if it was from the SNL skit from Christopher Walken.
