  • So amazing,your so talented!

  • Really good

  • i always come back and listen to these!

  • YES!!! A fellow musician who is into lucid dreaming. I just posted a question in the DreamView forum asking if anyone has tried to create music in a Lucid Dream and if so, how can we remember or manifest the dream's creation in our waking lives..Any suggestions or info on this subject? Thanks

  • bro!!!! that first song made me feel so nostalgic...idk why. once i find out ill let you know y.

  • No less then what I expected it to be. Very psychedelic and dreamlike. You're a very genuine guy, Reece. And you've got a great head on your shoulders. I would definitely love to meet you in person someday. I think we would have a lot to talk about.

  • your good brother

this is what i would listen too

  • beautiful music, the first time i heard this i didn't think much of it....and now it is all I want to hear--I especially love the first one, it was stuck in my head all day...the fourth one is great too :-) you are such a special person!! i want to meet you someday

  • you can sing too! reece youre just full of surprises hahahaha

  • THE Keep this under your bed SONG did you make the beat and the song up or is that a song from some one else?

  • ~NICE JAM!!! At 1:47, the ray of light on the glass door looks like its coming out of your guitar, -cool ;} !!!~

  • I would like to hear proper recordings of your music...

  • first ones a killer, its like girzzly bear but sort of with a 90's homespun edge, nice !

  • i had to pick up my guitar and jam along :P

  • Could you please record your songs (not with your webcam) and sell me your cd? It's amazing how much emotion's in your music. Keep on writing songs!

  • @KarianneH

Thanks for the encouraging words. Once I can afford some decent recording equipment I'll do exactly that :)

  • ok i know im pobly being a bit annoying but i know what you mean the samething happens to me when i write music do an forum of art or have visions

  • @imsoninja100

Mhm :) In a way, any act of creativeness is a form of channeling.

  • wow where did you channle it from could you teach me too ohh by the way in jesse

  • @imsoninja100

I'm not sure exactly. I get into a very "tuned in" state when I write music. It's like the ideas flow through me from somewhere else entirely. And greetings Jesse :)

  • i swear iv heard the keep this under your bed sevral times before did u play this song somewhere els?

  • @imsoninja100

Haha, nope. Although, I must admit, when the melody came to me it felt like I was channeling it from somewhere else.

  • did u by chance put this song somewhere els i feel like iv heard it before

  • @imsoninja100

Nope. All of these were clips of new songs I wrote :)

  • Awesome you play great,at what age did you start?

  • @ravenflock831

    I think I was about 14/15, so around 8/9 years ago :)

  • hey man I really dig your voice. You've got a nice tone to it, sometimes you even sound a bit like the band yes, Just without the psychedelic guitar and keyboards. All your missing is a band to back you up and add a bit of creative differential. Other than that dope songs, and lyrics. I've listened to the other ones that you've posted to.

Needless to say if ever your in Edmonton Canada I would be down to jam.

keep up the good work peace out.

  • This is what I love to hear... REAL, authentic, unique expression! Really good.

  • if you lived in NZ i would record you for free any day..

  • Impressive. You're writing songs just in the style what I like. Though I can't play on any instruments, but this makes me to want to learn. You're very talented I think. I would be not surprised, if one day you would show up in television. I'm looking forward to your proper recordings of your full new songs.

  • When can we hear some proper recordings? If you are ever looking to set up a project studio and need gear advice, let me know. You can actually get a really pro sound on the cheap these days... well in comparison to what it would have cost 10 years ago.

  • @thecrashfantasy

I have some decent recordings on MySpace. I'll send you some links :)

  • I play this loudly in the house and pretend you are in the study playing my guitar. I'll come and join you in a minute and we can marmalade.. I mean jam... together. Luv you loads Reecey-Boy x

  • @stevenjones57

Aww <3 Love you too Dad :)

Any more news on the book?

  • @ReeceJones87 I see the typographer next week and once he has finished with the text and the cover it's off to the printers which will take about 2 weeks. V. EXCITED!!

Getting very positive responses from conferences in the US - hopefully I'll be over in the States next year for quite a while if the plans work out. Love Dad x

  • Hey, I enjoyed this, looking forward to more if you post it. - JP

  • @azuin55

    Glad you enjoyed :)

  • Yeh, thanks Reece, I enjoyed that! As an amateur musician and visual artist, I used to think it was too scarey to put my art out there and have other people judge it. Then I realised that in thinking that, I was not finishing any paintings. (Because then it would be available for people to criticise) But if I didn't finish my artworks, and held back, I was depriving my life of self expression, and inspiration, and depriving other people of my gift. >> I hope everyone can get something from this.

  • @kellygwdobbs

I've felt like this on and off throughout my life too. In fact, posting this video was an exercise in letting go for me :)

  • I'd love to hear it in a little more better sound quality!

Great singing and playing, mate :)

  • @twillightblade

    Thank you :)

  • great jam reece, hey it looks like you got a nice little set up there man

  • @matywaldy

    Thanks Matt :)

  • @ReeceJones87 I wounder if james would like this one,lols :>)

  • awesome stuff =D - very inspiring, true, harmonic, peaceful and uplifting... and did i mention beautiful =D!!!!!

    peace. and light =)

  • @piggycherie

    Aww, thank you :)

  • Is that an Ibanez?

  • @TheCareMores

Nope, it's a Michael Kelly. I have a Jet King II Ibanez back in England, though :)

  • Hey reece, your songs are great man. Have you ever checked out portal/or cynic? I think you would enjoy them. Keep on playing music forever though, because music is one of the most divine artforms, and it can bring great things

  • @BrianPurge

Thanks :) And no, I haven't heard of them. I'll make sure to check them out. Thanks for the recommendations.

  • lol at the end I made the same face you did Reece, just before you did. Had me a laugh. Sound good bro.

  • Nice singing and playing! :)

  • hey man. Pleasee record the full versions of these songs! Get a half decent setup. I would pay you for a cd with these songs. There awesome.

  • @ozzma9898

Thanks for the encouragement. It's really appreciated :)

  • A Zoom H2 or something similar would do you great. If you have an acoustic electric and a mic personally i'd get a line 6 POD, i use it for my bass recordings and they come out professional quality, you can check my videos for final products.

  • Really interesting stuff, man! I love the use of some of those dissonant chords

  • nice

  • Oh I didn't realize you wrote these!!! Reaaally nice you should tab these! I'd love to learn it :)

  • You should invest in some nice basic recording equipment, like maybe a Blue Snowball usb recorder, perfect for acoustic recording, or maybe a Zoom Handy Recorder if you're willing to spend alittle more money, i have the H4n and i'm very happy with it.

  • @acdcrocks91

Thanks for the recommendations. I'll look into that :)

  • Great compositions! The acoustic guitar is a beautiful instrument. Sounds like a hippie-er version of Sigur Ros.

This is great. It's deep and uplifting, while remaining somewhat mysterious and emotional. I can really tell your into it.

    Definitely 5/5+fav.

  • @Omegashadowyoshi

    Awesome compliment! Thank you :)

  • oh my god <3

  • lol "hairs gettin in the way bolucks." Your playing and singing are beautiful

  • what are you saying. i cant understand the lyrics

  • @msrienne3d

In the first one I'm singing: Keep this under your bed.

In the second one I'm singing: This time drink more wine.

In the third one I'm singing: Get a grip, but let go. Paradox exists. Live forever, but take your time. Get a grip, but let go. Paranoia won't work for you anymore.

In the fourth one I'm singing: Make your own laws. Feed your own cost. Be your own door, as your jaw hits the floor. Get down on the floor!

    :)

  • @ReeceJones87 Sounds like you're singing to yourself.

Keep what under your bed? Your tuxedo speedo?

down on the floor, under the bed, wine, paranoia..........sounds like last new years eve.

  • @deleahmarie

Haha, you make me chuckle :)

  • sounds pretty cool.

  • awesome stuff man. You should definitely record an acoustic album. Love your style =)

  • I love your voice! Great music, very beautiful! :)

  • @yodeling4otters

    Thank you :)

  • The best way to play is to just let it all flow out, if you get what I'm saying. Just kinda play and sing what feels right or comes out.

  • @Oathbreakingninja

Exactly. That's the only way I know how :)

  • Wow. Great singing!

  • Really wired, and different.. I like it : D

  • Wow.. now thats a progression only such a dreamer like yourself would come up with!

  • wow i really like this do you have anything on itunes?

  • @MultiBWin

Not yet, but I have stuff on MySpace. I'll send you the links in a PM :)

  • Musical talent! Too bad we dont have it like the Andromedans. We have belief system and money systems and blockage and doubts.

  • You should really look into a small studio set-up. You got your own style and it is simply amazing!

  • I love hearing you play. Sounds great, Reece. :)

  • Beautiful...simply breath taking, you have a wonderful voice <3

  • please b gay and marry me

  • @MierAntonio

*becomes gay and marries you* ;)

  • @ReeceJones87 :0 awwwwwww :)

  • That was awesome. :D

  • @EmpathyDies

    Thank you :)

  • If you get a proper mic, it would be epic if you would re-record your old songs like As I'm Cast Aside, Je T'aime Ma Chérie, The Speckled Smiley Disaster etc. I really like them :)

  • Awesome jams! I think you're losing touch of your Englishness.. your date order is soooo American lol

  • @sacredbanana

Haha, it's true. I'm starting to take the "u" out of words like color, too! Shock horror :O

  • Your such a good singer man : ) and your guitar playing has a nice new and creative sound too it, you need to show of this talent more often.

  • @CaseyMcGarvey2112

Thanks for the encouragement :) I will.

  • and he sings/plays guitar....is there anything you dont do reece =)

  • the guitar sounds like its got some wierd effect on it, dunno if it was deliberate but sounds really nice dude

  • @Benediction91

Not deliberate, no :) I just pressed record and played. I know what you mean, though. I think it's the way the video's been compressed; it gives it an odd sound.

  • Yes. Please record all of this man, it could be epic XD You could even mix it with electronic drums and stuff à la colour is vibration

  • this is all great. if you have recorded a full song please upload it!

  • @1schwererziehbar1

I have some full length songs on my channel from back in the day. Also, I'll send you some links of bands I've been in :)

  • Comment removed

  • 0:50 that dosnt look right XP im sorry good job dude thumbs up from me

  • @theghoulnerd

    Haha ;)

  • Reece, you rock! I'm tempted to make a video response of my guitar jamming which has been referred to as "random playing." i love jamming but refuse to learn musical theory or the notes, and don't have the native skill to play anything I hear.

  • @Zavatari

I'm totally the same. I know how to write songs, but I don't know the names of chords, never learnt scales (apart from the pentatonic), etc, etc. I just love flowing naturally and not being tied down by rules and regulations :)

  • Very high frequencies.

For you are the experience you are having itselfffffffffffffffff.

  • Cool jams here, Reece. Well done!

  • some of it reminded me of radiohead

  • @zezt

Whoa, that's an awesome compliment :) Thank you!

  • they make pretty decent USB input Microphones now. you can download free recording software called Audacity too (if you want to edit and dont own another DAW already that is). anyways... just FYI ;)

  • @AstralOpeth

Thanks for the info :) *appreciates*

  • Really cool Reece.

  • @BarryAldridge

    Thanks Barry :)

  • Wow, you've got an amazing voice man, and your overall sound is very euphoric. You really should really put some kind of album together... Great break at 2:58 by the way :)

  • @Underthecokesign

Thank you for the kind words :)

  • I've been alright. Not much has changed here, Gypsy keeps me entertained. Not sure I would know how to function without her even though she's a major pain sometimes lol. How's things in Cali?

  • @cementfrog

Awesome man :) I'm starting to realize how much fun this living lark can be! *content*

  • wow, this is a surprise. :)

  • @Galdasturis

    A pleasant one I hope? Haha :)

  • i used to listen to your old song recordings quite a lot and i just love the way your melodies flow ... kinda reminds me of that band i liked a few years back called 'chevelle' ... do you have any recordings online besides the videos? :)

  • @ChristopherSleeps

YouTube won't let me link MySpace sites, but I'll send you a PM :)

  • I miss the stars :)

  • @cementfrog

Haha, old school. I haven't heard from you in ages man! How've you been?

  • sweet montage.

  • @teassea

    Thanks :)

  • Whoa, I am truely amazed by your many talents. You blow me away, what's next?

  • @princessdingling

Aww, thank you. How humbling :)

  • Comment removed

  • Nice this was very chill especially because i can picture it as i have had a taste of listening to you jam in person which was nice. Thanks for sharing

  • @reecejones87 not trying to be rude but ever thought of cutting your hair?

  • @xXSuperToasterXx

Nope. I can't imagine that I'll ever cut my hair. Although I should definitely start tying it back when I play guitar, haha ;)

  • New guitar?

    nice playing man! and singing.

  • @derrynator

    It's Chelsea's actually. And thank you :)

  • very nice iam impressed

  • @cracker27

Yup :) I've been playing about 8/9 years.

  • Verrry nice, Mr. Reece :D Thank you for sharinggg!!! :D Much love and musical vibes your way...

  • @greenctenophore

*absorbs the musical vibes* Glad you liked :)

  • hi n lows limey im a mik

    Come again?

  • Dude... im studying to be an audio engineer at the moment and half the people i record arnt as good as you..hahahh like seriously. if your ever in new zealand drop me a message and ill get you down into the studio!

    Thank you :)

  • Seriously Reece, record an album :)

    Great stuff

  • @TheSalviaShaman

Thanks Richie :) Your encouragement is very...encouraging. Hehe :)

  • Awesome. If this is an originals then you are good and, wow, you should start up a band Reese man. :)

  • @Rockguitarnow

Yup, all originals. I never learn covers. And yup, I've been in a few bands in my time. One of them was signed to a small, local label :)

  • @ReeceJones87 Yeah man, this is awesome shit... You should for sure start recording this stuff more often. I had no idea you could sing bro...

  • @Alobander

Thanks man. And yeah, I've enjoyed singing since I was about 3 years old, haha :)

  • Fun!

  • @omcasey1

Glad you think so. I was very apprehensive about posting this, but I pushed through the fear and let go :) This letting go lark is good fun!

  • Song diarrhea!

  • @northernlulus

    Haha ;)

  • Pretty good stuff!! You have a really nice voice!

What's the name of the first song?

  • @Julesrules05

I haven't named any of them yet. Most of those were just random jams, only one of them is fully completed (the one where my hair gets in the way).
