It was killing me for ages that I knew this beat but I couldn't remember where I heard it! I knew that beat from somewhere! Then I remembered it, its the Jackson 5 song I Want You Back, Will.I.Am did an awesome job!
I really like this song, though I think if I'm being honest it's based heavily on the Jackson 5 sample, which is just an awesome little guitar riff. I do respect will.i.am for his sampling abilities, whether you enjoy sampling or not, he is good at it. Plus he must have been doing something right if MJ worked with him personally on new material.
I just realized that the guitar riff is sampled off of "I want You Back" Jackson 5- u can barely hear it in the song. listen to the stripped mix version and u'll recognize it.
Every track on this album is point on!! I never get tired of listening to Will I Am.....he's the best. This is a "summertime" must listen to!! His music is very special.
I don't understand why this wasn't a single. I'm guessing there were problems with the sample or some legal issues because, to me, this is the best song on the album by far.
