No Wing Chun can be your stance, Bruce improved/changed Jeet kune do many times, Wing Chun is one option that a lot of teachers like to use, it is not completely necessary as the tradition western (Boxing type) stance is similar,... & a good alternative Bruce even used with himself. I like the techniques and the fact that you correct your partners form. But it seemed to me that it was all performed a little sloppy. This looked liked a basic practitioner level performance to me. I truely hate to sound harsh, because the techniques are good, but if you post on here for all to see it should be a stellar performance.
but we must remmember that as he taught a person is living and breathing everyone moves differentely static and coreographed routines lead to no where there is someone who always knows more than you do lol thats when you get in real big trouble lol
when you pick up any kind of kung fu, just pracrtice again and again, and use your brain to think about it, you'll be master. Of cause, JKD is perfect for everyone to perform.Just practice everyday.
Do you think Jeet Kune Do has evolved in the last 40 years since Bruce Lee's death? I ask this question, because I want your take on martial arts today.
Bruce only use in the beginning the trapping from Wing Chung, watch the last mouvies and watch his real training partner jerry poteet, they don't use trapping in the end of bruce lee.. because in a real fight,with fast lowkicks while the punching, it's not possible

You might consider learning the actual positions and their correct names..
Then if you want to get nuts learn the actual progression for Chi Sao..
