There is actually a video of Notch somewhere on video in an interview where he explained how he played about with the code and he added exploding arrows, it was kinda interesting; he had the explosion level quite high so he was just flying exploding the surroundings lol

The ghasts have good aim, they just are not aiming at the player.

Ghasts aim at the block (or space) you are looking at. 3 blocks ahead if your view is level. as a result, if you look up (as you tend to do when facing a flying enemy) the block you are looking at is over your head, so the shots tend to go over you.

I think you mean that a 3x3 height is the same ratio of ceiling height to person height as in the standard house, so it feels natural. Well that's how it is for me anyway :P

Will this tactic of accidentally placing a sign and closing the game before pressing done really work? I accidentally placed a level 4 battlesign, and I really don't want to lose it. Has anyone tested this? Please help!

@digimondudeify Okay, so, I started up a new world, got three pieces of wood, made them into planks, made a sign, and placed it. I then exited out, like Vechs said, and when I logged back onto that world, I had 3 sticks, and the sign on my hotbar (sticks because thats where i put them), but the world was like it was when I first spawned. The tree I chopped down was still there, and the workbench i had placed wasnt there. I guess it reverted to last save, none, with current inventory.

@digimondudeify I just did it where i saved right before i placed it, and it worked. So it'll revert to last save, with the inventory that you had when u exited. Hope that helps.

If you play on a multiplayer server with runecraft, you can "enchant" a pickax with an enchantment called powerpick, which does that.

Look up runecraft on the minecraft wiki for more information.

Your enchantment idea for the pickaxe is good, but I think they would need to start giving the names on the enchants, because you wouldn't want to have only 3 diamonds, use it on a pickaxe you want to use to digout your home or do a branch mine. And you get that area-effect enchantment, and it completely messes up your whole mining technique. Completely wasting your 3 diamonds.

I would like mojang to add that when you make a pickaxe, axe, sword, ect, it has a chance to get a low enchantment. It would give the tool a bit of personallity and instead of randomly clicking for enchantments, you could select which upgrade you would like, and buy it with your experience or even diamond. Just a thought... :D

One thing I dislike is items with only one real use, like ghast tears, which are the only thing ghasts drop, and can only be made into regen potions. I love the soul mechanic in terraria, I just wish there was slightly more content, more densly packed in minecraft.

minor correction to your comment about lighting up walls:

If there are spawners within ~4 blocks (depending on NSEW) of the wall, mobs can spawn in the air blocks along that wall.

I'm sure you know this information, but I just wanted it to be accurately reflected, that mobs can in fact spawn in unlit wall areas, given certain conditions.

It's pretty simple actually.. the camera is at 1,5 in heigh-ish.. meaning at 3 blocks tall, you will be centered. which is more comfortable for the brain :p I'm the one who thinks these things all the way through.. :p

for underwater stuff.. having an enchantment that makes you move at high speed underwater would be awesome. maybe level I - IV would making fighting sharks underwater possible in meelee, would also make a good ..substitution I think it is.. for a boat.. just underwater. would love that.
