Given that he's only 4, perhaps more training will increase flexibility and suppleness. Maybe because I'm a fan of German training methods (NOT ROLLKUR), it seems Americans bring their horses along way to fast.

Can he do anything else than just running forward...? Btw, his trot is awful not relaxed: his hind legs go way back his front instead of the opposite. Just because his head is down, that doesn't mean he's an awesome dressage horse (or is it the rider who can make him get down).

@horsyfreak I agree his trot is not incredible...but he's only 4 years old o__o' Cut them some slack. He's doing pretty good for a 4 year old young horse

this horse has no swing in the back- beautiful looking but not easy to ride. Maybe long way to go in training to get rythm. Short on left front in walk. Not relaxed at all. Training may change that - or not.... i
