  • Looooooooooved this one! This was as grand and festive as it should be. The organ is wonderful and the organist handsome ;D

  • Complimenti. Magari non scopro l'acqua calda, ma sei veramente molto bravo e il genere che suoni e come lo suono è davvero bello.

  • Can we stop the debate on Britain?! Its got abit OTT. Talk about the peice of music being played, the organ, and the organist!

  • Rule Britannia!

  • Rule Brittannia, composed at a time when Brittain was "Great Britain."

  • Ok, at 3:00 he's just trying to impress everyone :/ WELL IT'S WORKING!!!!!! But I guess you have to be that good to be allowed to play such an expensive, extravagant organ. Amazing footwork too. They just go flying over the foot pedals with amazing accuracy! I bet he gets paid well for such rare talent.

  • Rule Britannia? I suppose that's what all the immigrants do.. Shame Britain can't.

  • Superb, makes you proud to be British!

  • EXCELENT...BEAUTIFUL !!

  • Fenomenaal - prachtig Elie SMET amateur-organist GENT

  • I LIKE THE VOICINGS YOU USE... WELL DONE... Rule Britannia Indeed!

  • If I didn't know better I's say it looks like the console is made of granite? lol More likely some kind of burled wood I guess. Very cool. Impressive instrument!

  • I love to play the pipe organ as it fun!

  • God save the British Queen and the British Empire....

  • A Yank here. Fantastic piece. Sounds amazing. Rule Britannia, and God Save the Queen. May our two nations enjoy many more prosperous years of friendship.

  • why do you assume he's in england his profile says italy

  • Was talking about the countries, wasn't assuming he was in the UK(Which is more than just England).

I figured he wasn't in the UK cause of the fact that the description for the video wasn't English.

I can see how my comment could have been interpreted that way though, ick. Sorry.

  • Greetings from America. Good job.

  • Shall I say, "HOLY CR@P!" Amazing!!!

  • Very well done mate! I play the piano myself and I can´t imagion what´s like to play that thing you play, churshill or what´s called. Anyway, I enjoyed this version, thanks.

  • Da ist wohl einer Britanienfan -grins-

  • Fantastico! Certo, gli americani sentono "Il mio Paese 'Tis di te, dolce terra di libertà ...." quando "God Save The Queen / King" viene riprodotto, ma questa è stata una interessante presentazione di due inni Bretagna imperiale! Bravo

  • Beautifully done! Where is this organ? Very nice sound and of course the person playing it has a lot to do with the sound.

  • the info says it is in San Giovanni Bosco i Bologna which i mean lays in Italy

  • Thanks! Did not notice as I don't speak or read Italian. Nice job!

  • Me either but long live Google translate :P hehe

  • Well neither does 80% of those watching , yet most can figure it out. Woman

  • Maybe we can fire our pseudo-Hapsburg governator and offer the job to QEII instead. Just add Governor of California to her already long title, should only add one or two percent to the total length. Queen of the UK of...defender...blah blah...and Governor of California.

  • Here here, how totally awesome would that be. Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom of England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland, and Governor of the Great and Noble State of California. Long live the golden grizzly bear!!!!!!!!!

  • Fantastic!!!

  • RULE BRITANNIA!

  • Fantastic! BRITONS SHALL NEVER BE SLAVES!

  • Comment removed

  • Meglio l'altro!Ciao.

  • Is that a Church organ?

  • Yes, in the Chuch of San Giovanni Bosco in Bologna. Wonderful!

  • E tu la prima volta che ti fa suonare fratello sole o sorella luna o qualche altra musica del genere digli non è liturgica!

  • la volta che l'ho accennata a chiesa vuota dopo una messa.. il prete mi fa: "non liturgica"... :|

  • Well done.

  • Weak in the knees is right, but it took only one old Brit with a cigar and a bad attitude to rouse a successful response to tyranny in 1939. Steam on Britannia.!!

  • beautifully done you don't see organs like that much anymore

  • that is a nice pipe organ it has a great sound to it

  • Very good sometimes to much stacato, the fuga is very good

  • God bless Great Britain and God bless Her Britannic Majesty!

  • bfffff. ;D

  • you are friends. You have been in iraq and you know a credit crunch.

Keep the good alliance. But not too long,i fear you disappear.

  • Fatta bene.

    Bravo.

  • Very good. But of course, it's Rule BRITANNIA (one T and two Ns!).....

  • Reminds me of playing Ultima

  • haha, me too :) You cant beat ultima 7

  • Britain and the old USA may both be getting weak in the knees in the world but at least the UK has the moral certitude and backbone of the Scots to lean on in this time of ascendency for cowards and the weak-witted.

This music calls you to think back to your better days.

  • Mate, the whole world is weak in the knees at the moment.

  • i think that the brits and yankees should join togerther and be friends. im an american and i say MAY OUR TWO NATIONS LIVE IN HARMONY AND PEACE! YAY BRITIAN!!

  • At least the United Kingdom made a stand against Germany once Poland was invaded. We didn't have to. We could have a done a deal with the Germans at any time through 1940. They offered several deals. We refused. That's the difference.

  • They offered similar "deals" to many countries to apese them, for a while at least. Russia, Italy amongst others.

  • Shamed into a war? No my son, not shamed one iota. The USA didn't want to get involved in others wars at the time. Why should it? The USA gave backing in many forms to the allies before actually becoming offically involved. And when the USA did join in, boys oh boys oh boys did those nazi's get a run for their money! So come along now, stop bickering and lets all join together in unison as one under the star spangled banner and cheer for freedom, for liberty, for democracy and yes, for the USA!

  • @ds1868 hey we only let you win because we don´t wanted to see you cry

  • @ds1868 but if England accepted they could have stopped the holocaust. And this also shows that England wanted total war.

  • @MaestroFire What a comprehensively pitiable understanding of history. What should we have done, sought peace with Hitler, who had over-run your country with ease at that point (asuming you're from NL), and then asked him nicely to stop murdering and torturing Jews like his party had been doing in one form or another since 1936?!! It was the Nazi's that wanted total war, which they demonstrated in the face of Europe and the world well before Britain was forced to take a stand in 1939!

  • @xlmp96 Because the war was still going on in 1941 the holocaust was made! Originally the plan was, after a victory in western Europe, to make France secede Madagascar to Germany and Germany wanted to create an independent (without relations Germany) Jewish homeland in Madagascar. After the UK refused any peace (Churchill quote: "Germany must be destroyed") there was a plan of a Jewish homeland in Siberia, but when victory in the East also didnt came the Holocaust started.

  • @MaestroFire O, now we see! Britain prevented a big Jewish holiday to a sunny clime where they would have been led by Moses Goldstein, fed by Manna from the Third Reich and been left to live the rest of their lives in the peace, stability and tranquillity that a fully Nazi World and would have brought about.

How naive of us all to think that it was Germany that perpetrated the initial despisement, segregation, torture and murder of Jews prior to 1941.

I make one comment: PURE NAZI FANTASY.

  • Atkins believes a government should wait to be shamed into a war, and declared war upon by the two chief powers waging it, before turning up. Thank goodness other countries didn`t agree with her and stepped in years ahead. How ashamed her attitude reveals her to be. Predictable really, that she`s holed up in a `neutral` country. Ridiculous.

  • who made you a moron?

  • Bollocks.

  • God save the Queen! Long may She reign!

    Rule Britannia!

  • churchhill kept a country fighting and peoples spirits up when so many others had given up

you act as if the British are the only nation to have bad history, how about some of our good history, we gave you the industrial revolution, Banned the slave trade or have you not learnt that? and the untold millions we paid other European countries to stop their slave trade you dont like it, go back to living a preindustrial life

sorry but im sick and tired of ppl bad mouthing my country

  • Once again, a sad, pathetic american lets his side down.

  • Were not all like that, you know. I apologize for those who are.

Great music from a wonderful, instrument!

  • Oh I know your not all like that, thank god. Imagine if you were all like that moron.

  • Umm...we owe OUR freedom to France, BTW. They helped us win the Revolutionary War; without them...we might not even be a country right now.

I don't believe that any European countries were "saved" by the United States. They don't owe their freedom to us.

  • love the piccole divagazione!! magnifiche!

An improvisation of Rule Britainnia on the monumental Tamburini organ in the Church of St. John Bosco in Bologna, Italy.

I hope this makes it more clear.

  • Auf furchtbar Deutsch- Es hat in Bologna gespielt. Von wem- keine idee.

  • to play like this you have better co-ordination thah any rich drummer surely think about it

  • ok enough about the war!!!

    THe musics great

    well played!!

  • The British were hanging on in a desperate situation before the UsA entered the war. Yees they may have had a majority of people and tanks etc etc but the british had a fantastic spirit that kept their hope alive. We may have been defeated several times but we hung on and ven after hitler had forced our Dunkirk reetreat we managed to hold him off in the Battle of britain. What the American will never understand is the British attitude and the hardship they faced during the war. Rule Britannia

  • Tally Ho.

  • And we didnt just defend our own country, we defended a blooming 36million sq km empire

  • quite right. Up the empire down the rebels

  • Quoted from YogaNate79's profile: 'I am well traveled, well educated, and just your average guy.'

Well travelled and educated eh? Pull the other one, its got bells on...

  • Long live Great Britain!! Greeting from Japan

  • this is also god save de queen

  • And lastly, If the Brits could have defeated Hitler on their own, they why did you wait to attack Europe via D-Day instead of relying on the United States in 1943 and the command of Eisenhower?

The Western Front of Europe was American lead, that is why. 3.5 million British troops and their Commonwealth allies couldn't have pulled D-Day off.

The Russians claim that the Brits did little in Europe. The Red Army can take credit for Hitler's overall defeat, with the US on the western front.

  • Britain kept the soviets supplied through vital and often suicidal conveys. By the wars end we supplied them with 20% of all their planes and 10% of their tanks, not to mention food and other basic necessities. They never said thank you and even once when only a few ships of a large convey made it into russia Stalin accused us of holding back and lying about U-Boat attacks. We dont get any thanks, its always the Americans and russians both thinking they singlehandedly won the war

  • Actually, you mean our food, our supplies, and our tanks. We suppllied both the Uk and Russia through LEND LEASE.

And thats true, the Brits did nothing in WW@ wxcept defend their own tiny little island from Nazism. Without the Americans, D Day would have been a dream. And without the Russians, you could have kissed your free world good bye.

3.5 million British soldiers to 16 million Americans and 18 million Russians in WW2..... it just goes to show you were the under dogs.

  • Lend lease was a joke, Britain would have agreed to anything to keep in the fight. Its amazing to see the arrogance Americans have towards war in general. Everyone loses in wartime.

  • Im not denying the majority of the supplies were yours but it was still our merchant navy that got them to Russia. And we had troops in europe, africa, asia and the pacific, and it was our navy that hunted the U-boats and captured almost all of the enigma machines. The RAF also bombed germany on a consistant basis and destroyed many factories and dams. Dont forget we actually fought from the beggining of the war

  • And who was it that had the majority of troops at D Day? America. Who won the major classic battles of western Europe such as Bulge, Aachen, Bastogne, and Monte Cassino? America. Who was defeated at Dunkirk, Zeeland, France, and Netherlands before the Americans came in 1943? The Allies were.

I will give the UK credit for defending their own country against the Nazis. Well done and awarded. But without the USA, the Normandy invasion would have been entirely impossible.

  • at the bulge you outnumbered the germans by 300,000. At aachen you outnumbered them 10 to 1. Bastogne was semi-battle during the bulge. Monte Cassino was a British operation, the allied commander in Italy was Field Marshall Alexander. Meanwhile we won the battle of the atlantic, the battle of britain, El Alamein, Taranto,Keren, Damascus. All of those were before you even entered the war.

  • It doesnt matter if you outnumbered us. Alexander was still in command. And its a bit rich for an american to be alling me stupid isnt it?

"There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again." says your president.

  • yeah, america definitely won world war ii. also many american leaders also had trouble with montgomery and alexander. and britain was damn lucky dunkirk was a success, because if it wasn't, you and france sorta got your butts kicked in the battle of france and the nazis had their way in belgium, etc. also who saved all of europe's economy after wwii with the marshall plan? and you can insult the president all you want, hes still the most powerful man in the world. i hope you respect the office.

  • no, america didnt win ww2. USA, Russia, China, the British empire and the free people of europe won ww2. You act like before the US entered the war churchill was about to ring up hitler to tell him we were surrendering. We had already defeated the luftwaffe, destroyed the kreigsmarine and italian surface fleets, and pushed rommel out of africa. The US entry shortened the war and saved millions of lives which we're all grateful for, but dont be so arrogant as to say you won the war by yourselves

  • we wouldnt have need ur help in WW2 of the marshal plan if u lot hadent been speculating so much. Its because of the great depression caused by ur country that nut jobs lik Hitler managed 2 get into power. Also your contribution to the European war was vast loads of shity Sherman tanks that brewed up hundreds of our boys

    God save the Queen

  • seansmizzle16 - You speak alot of shit boy lol

you need to get out more ;)

  • Russia would like words with you.

  • ArseHole

  • And even more obviousl is that before the United States committed to fighting in 1943, most battles fought by the British and French were defeats for them. Dunkirk, Zeeland, and Battle of France. About the only thing the Brits could do is protect and fdefend their own island during the Battle of Britain. And even so, they could not prevent Hitler's Blitzkrieg.

The UK Treasury was empty. Morale ws low. Their military in ruins. So this perception that the British have "victory" is their dream.

  • The UK enlisted 3.5 million soldeirs in World War Two compared to the over 16 million American troops who served in World War Two.

Most of the battles on the Western Front were American led-- AAchen, Bulge, Monte Cassino, El Guettar, Nancy, Huertgen Forest, Bastogne. And not to mention, the Americans had to endure the most heavily defended barricades of all the beaches in Normandy on D-Day--- And that was Omaha. So the British allusion that they couldve defeated Hitler on their own is a laugh.

  • eorge Washington,George Patton, George Marshall, George Burns, George Clooney....

    A Big ???

  • un grande organista non è alla tua altezza

  • la video est proposée par Hande 81 mais rule britannia est de Thomas Arne

  • Truly marvellous rendition there.

The local Church in my village is over 1,000 years old, and the latest Organ inside was built in 1907 by a man that usually designs organs for Cathedrals - it takes a lot of upkeep and donations though.

  • Hi, David. Wish you could post some pictures of your local church and its organ. I love pipe organs and admire them.

  • Best on yourtube, fab keep on playing

  • PERFECT!

  • I've suscribed to him, he always has something good to play!!!!!!1

  • Bravo!

  • Best rendition Ever!

    L'interpretazione migliore Mai!

  • And in response to the comments about fuel down there...

In my area, Diesel (which my cars runs off) is £1.01 a litre, that is the equivelent of over $7.70 per gallon. In much of America, you can easily buy fuel for much less than that.

  • Why are there bad reputations to my comment? By the way, diesel is now £1.08 a litre.
