@blastermitch Judo doesn't have kicks or punches, it's all about the "perfect" take-down of your opponent. Maby you're confused with Jiujitsu or some other matrial arts.

@MrKarateka123 I started with Muay Thai and am now working Judo into my training. Its a very good Idea to always have at least one grappling art and one striking art you can use. Is there a lot of full contact sparring at your dojo? If not I would recommend getting a ton of sparring done at a kyokshin club or kick boxing gym asap.
this video is AWESOME, but I think that Judo is much more than throws and fights, it's a lifestyle that you learn and practice inside and outside tatami. This is a part of Judo that we can't forget about it.

Also, I take it you don't do Judo, so I'm not surprised that they look the same. It's the same as if you were watching Muay Thai or MMA for the first time; it looks all the same, but there are so many more intricacies involved. Finally, throwing a resisting opponent isn't as easy as you think.

Great video thanks for posting =] I stopped competing because of injuries, but still love the sport. Lessons learned on the mat have absolutely carried over to real life in both humility and self-ability rating. If Judo only teaches one lesson, it's that you don't know ANYTHING about a subject until you've done it for 40 years.
