@RC2990 Humm, well that doesn't sound really good... You need to tell me more for better advice... How long did you have him? Has he been eating well? Any sign of disease? Is there enough oxygen in the tank? What is the temperature of the tank, Any white or black dot? Redness? Fongus? Blurry eyes? Problem around the fin or lung? Any other fish in the tank being aggressive?
Hey I have a 30 gallon tank and I got told I can put a small yellow tang in, can I possibly put 3 small ones in and a neon goby? I have a diamond goby, 2 firefish, 1scooter bleny and 2cleaner shrimp.
@Fishyboy1998 I don't know who told you that but it is obviously someone that don't know what he is talking about. First, your tank is already full. Second, no you cannot have a Yellow Tang in a 30 Gallons. Get a larger tank...
absolutely not the thing is with these tangs is that they can be put into stress easily and if u dnt have a minimum of a 50g tank than u probably shouldnt get one at all even if its small because it will grow and when it does what will u do with it then
I bought a small yellow tang last night, i floated him for half hour (lights off) and the drip acclimated him for another half hour, i the netted him out and put him in, he didnt hide at all and has great colour! I plan on adding 3 more blue/green chromis and another false perc., but nexton my list is more live rock and a skimmer, if u want, can u check out my channel and give me some tips? Btw thanks for the help, all ur videos are very informative :)
@ryjack26 Well, i'm not surprised about the Yellow Tang adapting quickly your only problem might be if you want to add more tangs, he will probably harrass them. If you want to add more chromis it's fine, but personnally I wouldn't since they take space that you could use for some nicer fish... If you are not going to buy corals I would consider a Dwarf Angel (like the Bicolor Dwarf Angel) and the Racoon Butterflyfish
@ryjack26 Hi Ryjack, If you tank have completed his cycled I don't see any problem in adding a Yellow Tang. Select all the fish that you want to buy in the future before to add any more fish... Are you planning on keeping it fish only or are you planning on adding corals. The Yellow Tang should be added within the last fish or at the same time. Let me know all the fish you want and I will be able to help you more...
My yellow tang is swimming upside down an keeps laying on the rocks. He doesn't look so good do you have any idea of what's going on?
