@andreleger2001 id like to add something ,sometimes the stingers dont feed properly in some semi autos because there just a hair longer i think a cci hp is more then up to the task for small game
i always buy the most expensive .22 rounds i can get seeing as though the price differences dont range a lot...ussually i go for CCI quick shock (bullet splits into three fragments on impact) CCI stingers and CCI velociters....all the hardest hitting 22 rounds u can get ; )
wow ok for the guy that asked if u could put a mini mag in a 22lr u are stupid and need to tske hunters ed on the box of the min mags its say plain and clear 22lr
@dreamz20091 If you mean a .22 Mag round in a .22 LR chambered gun it simply will not fit. If you mean the .22 LR ammo made by CCI called Mini Mag they should work just fine.
@12GaugeLosAngeles That’s a good question. There are so few standard velocity rounds to choose from, I don't think I have tested any. Generally the 'high velocity' has sort of become the standard and the 'hyper velocity' ones are the fast ones. I think the standard velocity rounds are pretty much relegated to the very old .22's made of weak steel. I may pick up a box of standard velocity hollow points for testing if I see any in the future.
Well I use CCI. Its the only thing I can shoot in my phoenix pistol. They are a real pain in the ass to find. So if u find them buy a brick or 2 or 5 like I did. With this ammo shortage (I am in Michigan) I did not know when I would find more.
which of ammunition for hunting you recommend?

@santoni1000 For small game hunting with a .22 LR I would go with CCI Stingers.

@andreleger2001
CCI SV (Standard Velocity) is one I am very familiar with. Target shooters prefer a standard velocity or a subsonic rnd.

These & the CCI stingers are the only rounds I'll put in my Beretta Bobcat. All other ammo is unreliable in that gun.

Compared to other .22 ammo - relatively loud. Compared to say a 9mm - mild.
