  • Breakup of the Beatles #1. Yup.

  • mues, what do you think of The Traveling Wilburys?

  • My greatest disappointment in music history was when Eminem released "Recovery". With Recovery, I thought he had completely lost it. The forced yelling, the collaborations, and the awful production really let me down.

  • biggest music dissapointments

    - Michael Graves

    - Jello Biafara leaving the Dead Kennedys

  • Wow, that "Two Virgins" song was really bad--it was just noise. It was kinda creepy too.

  • lol what about kidzbop sing the beatels

  • @Kataang102 kidzbop is fuckin retarded

  • @WithTheBeatles1990 thats the point XD. its a crime against humaintity and needs to be distroyed

  • @Kataang102 eh. no one's really so invested in kidzbop that they could feel disappointed at it's lower points.

  • @Kataang102 also, i think you're overreacting. don't get me wrong: i love the beatles. but a couple kids doing a bad cover of one of their songs is hardly a crime against humanity. murder is a crime against humanity. rape is a crime against humanity. kids singing music badly? you're gonna put them all on one shelf?

  • @apusama ok yeah I was but a bunch of little kids that might not even apriciate singing it, it sounds wrong

  • @Kataang102 oh god that was horrible.

  • @danimusic00 I really dont get the point of little kids singing music beacuse then there all screaming, and it could be an excuse to get on TV

  • Check out Sarah Jaffe she and a few other female singer/songwriters should come give us an enjoyable decade

  • Yeah the beatles breakup killed me in the inside but i do like some of the broken bands future like when John Lennon came out with imagine , Paul McCartney with band on the run or George Harrison with my sweet lord those are great songs I'm sorry ringo I didn't like any of your solo work but yeah I suggest those songs because they're great

  • #3 broke my heart :(

  • I must disagree with the Ramones comment... For me, End Of The Century was a sign of maturity. After that their lyrics had more meaning to em. I pretty much agree to everything else you say though.

  • Final Fantasy 13

  • Number 3 is the worst one.

  • Graves era Misfits was good, but Jerry Only is BAD

  • "Music History" ...So music began with The Beatles? Btw, 'Revolver' is my fav album as well.

  • you know mues..the break up of the beatles did suck.....but my number 1 let down was the fact that Rush still isnt in the rock and roll hall of fame

  • Get into Porcupine tree and Opeth. They'll never let you down.

  • one of my most disappointing moments was Bret Michaels performing Every Rose Has Its Thorn with Miley Cyrus. and another thing i dont like is bands like Alice In Chains and Thin Lizzy continuing after the singer that made them famous dies- like mues with AC/DC after Bon Scott died except i think albums like Back in Black, For Those About to Rock, Who Made Who, and Razor's Edge really accelerated them back up

  • Comment removed

  • try out trivium and their album ascendancy its pretty good man

  • Abbey Road and The Beatles (White Album) are the best albums ever. Revolver is 3rd

  • can't wait for those beatles lists

  • My greatest disappointment was when Eminem released "Just Lose It"... That's when his his early albums were perfect in my opinion, and The Eminem Show wasn't that bad, but Encore was pretty terrible... I liked about 2 songs on it, and that's it... Eminem lost his touch

  • @SlaveToFate23 i though the em show was dope too, much apart from that I feel the same

  • @SlaveToFate23 i hate how people say his the best rapper alive -.-

and believe me lots of idiots say it.

  • @rubberduckyrox1 Same here, and that's shocking coming from me considering I'm a HUGE Eminem fan... but yeah, there are a lot of rappers out there that can rap circles around Em now, no matter how much I love him lol

  • For me, my most disappointing moment in music history is.......................GWEN STEFANI'S SOLO CAREER!

Why? I know Gwen Stefani is No Doubt's singer, but I think she ruined the entire music industry with her hit Hollaback Girl. I can say Hollaback Girl is the birth of slutwave music, and today, if you listen to the radio, you will hear nothing but slutwave music!

  • @lla26 agreed!

  • @lla26 Are we all forgetting Shitney Spears? :p

  • @GoThIcWoNdErGIRL She has some precursors to the birth of slutwave, including Toxic and I'm A Slave 4 U. Christina Aguilera also has a fucking precursor to the birth of the genre itself with her song Dirrty. However, Gwen Stefani's Hollaback Girl is and will always be the biggest precursor to the birth of slutwave itself. It's the most overplayed slut-pop song ever, even though it has a cheerleader theme.

  • @lla26 Just because it's over played it's slut pop? I don't understand how she could be the birth of it when there were these other skanks already out. Gwen Stefani was a little sleezy looking, but the most she sang about in her LoveAngelMusicBaby album was about getting rich, Japanese fashion, and like you said, cheerleaders. I am very intrigued by your perspective. Please elaborate.

  • @GoThIcWoNdErGIRL Even though a song is overplayed, it doesn't mean it is slut-pop. It depends on the lyrics. I would consider a song to be slut-pop if the meaning has something to do with whores, drugs, alcohol, partying, money, and basically anything about the life of a gangster. As for Gwen Stefani, her only good songs from her solo career are Cool and 4 In The Morning (I never heard of Early Winter yet, but I interpreted its lyrics as not being slut-pop).

  • @lla26 Okay I see your point. I still think that Britney Spears would be a better marker in the birth of slut pop timeline.

  • @lla26 Oh my god I cannot stand that fucking song.I liked Gwen when she was in no doubt but when she went solo and released that piece of crap i lost respect for her plain and simple.

  • @MillenniumGuy2001 No Doubt is back. In a short time, their newest album will be released.

  • My greatest dissapointment in music is everything bone thugs and harmony released after their 3rd album the art of war. In my opinion they were the best rappers of all time and for some unknown reason they just scraped their amazing style and beats and opted for a more lighthearted approach, and dont get me started with their latest album, its so gay

  • DANZIG was freaking great!

  • 4. 'Cause it was boring?

  • Agreed, The Beatles broke up and John went on to making that piece of shit, I mean wtf?! But John Lennon and the Plastic Ono Band is one of the greatest albums of all time. Also I don't think The Beatles later albums were too bad, it was 'experimental' after all but they just don't have all that catchiness to them and songs that make you feel happy....

  • @OsuAustralia he was talking about the unfinished music albums!

  • SHUT UP!

I get it! You hate Pop and rap. (I hate rap.) You hate channels you hate everything.

  • Mine is the Middle East breaking up.

  • desaparecidos are an amazing punk rock band just look em up ... listen to greater omaha. manana. happiest place on earth. please there the only good ones

  • You misspelled Wayne in your annotation, I only noticed because I naturally tuned out the guy blowing smoke up his ass lol

  • One of my top letdowns is when Lil' Wayne won rock star of the year in not only 2008 but also 2009. When in 2008, Radiohead released its In Rainbows. I could see all dead rock stars rolling over in their graves that year.

  • I really don't want to talk about what Two Virgins sounds like to me.

  • Blame Yoko...

  • Two Virgins came out while John was still in the Beatles.

  • White Album??????????????Abbey Road was one of their best albums.

  • uh, why do u say that when a band fucks u over, u don't stick with them but when krs-one says the stuff about lil wayne, u stick with him? hypocrisy at its best

  • @ItsTehLol not at all, he says that krs-one has always had great music and never let him down music wise. You're a fuckin idiot.

  • The Serpenteens remind me of where the Misfits might have gone.

  • @donut861 k.

  • Hahahaha number 3: "KRS-One endorses Lil Wanye."

  • @donut861 what do you mean REAL? Nicki writes her raps, she's said it time and time again. Ehh not sure about Britney tho.

  • @donut861 Im guessing that you think every current successful female pop artist is a slut. or most. correct?

  • @donut861 still not cool to go around calling her a slut tho....

  • @donut861 Sooo because she altered her body, it means she's a slut...? And yes, Nicki is a singer and songwriter. Along with being a rapper. The fact that she made some of her body parts larger doesn't mean she's a slut...it was my understanding that a slut is someone who is promiscuous.

  • @donut861 how is Nicki a slut...?

  • The Beatles in the 80s lol

But Adele is pretty good I think as to number four

  • @donut861 Still these are the only types of females that you will ever hear on the radio nowadays.

  • i agree with you on the misfits. danzig made that group and to me he sounded like a darker evil johnny ramone which i though was fucking awsome! and now you'll never hear songs like "bullet", "die die, my darling", or "attitude" come from the misfits ever again.

  • Is it all right to share what our number one would be? Well, my number one dissapointment (of today's music, not in music history, but in the past decade or so) would be when Modest Mouse released We were dead before the ship sank. First they release Good news and now this? It's not like it was bad by all means, but they have lost their touch since The lonesome crowded west.

  • You nailed Number 4 right on the head. The only female songwriters/singers you will ever hear on the radio now are total whores (talking to you Katy Perry,Britney Spears,Kesha,Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj)

  • for the female preformers i think that the best one out there is one of the least known. im talking about the cranberries. i love them so but other then them i only listen to country women and i mean real country like loretta lynn. women have to take the wrong image for radio play

  • im 17 i didnt get into the beatles till VERY recently and i started lsitening to godsmack when i was 5 i didnt start listening to the real music till 12 years later i gotta say i love the beatles sgt pepper was amazing to me and is my favorate album and i COMPLETLY agree when you say there later stuff was started to limp a bit and it was for the best that they ended when they did it was sad but it was for the best

  • that did suck, because i love Amy wino

i don't know about this...... although i love wheezy, tha carter 3's finer moments are fucking amazing

absolutely (see spider man from the ramones)

    i understand

  • JOOOOOOKE! lolz

I have to agree with your number one. :(

  • My #1

Robert Plant refuses to tour with Led-Zeppelin after 2007 reunion concert.

  • @RedWolf3487 idk about that one...I'm glad Zeppelin only lasted 12 or so years.... I'm 17 and I like the old classics but when I see the rolling stones or some other classic rock band playing now its just embarrassing. Zeppelin are considered legends now, there not being laughed at like Mick Jagger was at the super bowl

  • there was a time when hip hop used to be real make a dope song and a dope video wat haz happened to hip hop these days people like drake/nicki minaj and wayne are gettin famous but there are sum which are actually dope like immortal technique, eminem 50 cent but i really want those days back when hip hop used to be da real shit mobb deep etc

  • Dude your number 1 reason is everything that I'm thinking lol

  • i full heartedly agree with the metallica argument the black album is overly watered down and ride the lightning is my favorite too. i hate that shit pop punk too (gayest form of rock n roll). however i dont believe there is no hope for rock n roll because we shouldnt give a fuck about rock on the radio and stick to the underground

  • 4:24 LMAO

  • The beatles never lost it. The only bad album was yellow submarine but they ended on a strong note with abbey road and let it be

  • @jobroluver1000 I grew up with Beethoven, and I'm 27. Is this really something you can't wrap your brain around...?

  • honestly older rappers have to say things like that because these lil shit head fans today go crazy and startsucking lil wayne dick and krs one get destroyed for no reason

  • I forget the name but i heard that citar sound in one song.

I haven't listened to all of the beetles music but i listened to several of their albums, white and abby road being the ones i listened to the most.

  • That album...had to be...a fucking...JOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOKE!!

  • The George Harrison and John Lennon albums mentioned here were released when the beatles were still together! Plastic Ono Band and All Things Must Pass were the john lennon and george harrison releases!

  • I didnt really like Yoko Ono

  • Regina Spektor is pure fucking talent!!!!!!

  • How old are you?

  • @BluePillowManguy hes 23

  • Cant wait to see a Reveiw on Rebbeca Black......

  • @karateandhalo he's got one up now

  • ONLY MAINSTREAM LOVERS WOULD SPAM OUR MUSIC AND NOT CHECK OUT MY VIDEOS!!!!!!!

  • subscribed, you are one of the few people on youtube that has an opinion, and doesnt just do or say things for popularity

  • @RedGeneral66 I can't believe your bitch ass didn't add my gurl Ke$ha. You seem like the kind that would. Radio is embracing pop and rap, not R&B or other genres. All those girls you mention all have talent(aswell as gimmicks!) whether you know it or not.

  • @220Adrians dude, everything played on mainstream pop radio is phucking bullshit. We're most definitly at the point where we need a new Nirvana.

  • Correct me if i'm wrong, but didn't John release Two Virgins long before they broke up? It was released years before Abbey Road and Let It Be, and it was recorded long before it was released...

  • Mues, what do you think of Joanna Newsom? She's a singer-songwriter

  • Lol. I bet John made Unfinished music in 1 hour

  • The only female singers that radio will play are the females that are total whores(I'm talking to you Rihanna,Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj)

  • how old are you out of curiosity? no offense but you dont look old enough to have been alive during the beatles prime

  • the beatles never went down. they were always amazing

  • @supermancrashin

He goes on and on about alot of music he didnt live through, It makes it weird to give justification to alot of these thoughts.

  • 9:35

John Lennon was on LSD. Does that explain anything for ya?

  • Comment removed

  • @supermancrashin Because he never liked Linkin Park.

  • Wow did you skip drugs or something? The beatles later albums are the best imo...

  • @banksyno2 He isn't talking about Revolver, Magical Mystery Tour or Sgt. Pepper. He is talking about songs on Abbey Road and White album with songs like Maxwell's Silver Hammer and Revolution 9 as well as the production on Let It Be. He's not saying that they are bad albums. I'm certianly not. He is saying that there were shakey songs on their albums which never happened before and I agree with him 100%.

  • @RenaissanceMan1993 i would take the white album out of the shaky albums but yellow submarine is a SOUNDTRACK and is called an album abbey road is overrated sue me let it be makes the white album look Horrible

  • @banksyno2 they're all fantastic...

  • @banksyno2 depending on what mood im in, ill either listen to their later albums or their early ones

  • man.. u r awesome

i hate the music industry today too(Not Much)

  • Mues, do you listen to a band called Cage The Elephant? They only have two albums out called "Cage The Elephant" and "Thank You, Happy Birthday", but they're still extremely good. Btw they're alt rock I believe.

  • My favorite punk band is joy division. I find that they dominated the punk music scene at the end if the 70s with unknown pleasures and closer.

  • @AwesomeCoasters actually The Sex Pistols, Ramones, and Clash dominated in the late 70's punk...considering the kinda made it

  • I really like their later albums, I mean come on I understand you dont. Thats what makes them this amazing you know: there is something for everyone. I also think that the beatles broke up just in time, making them epic in every way possible, just a larger than life band. agreed about two virgins btw.

  • my top 5 beatles albums (at the moment):

    5. Magical Mystery Tour

    4. White Album

    3. Sgt. Pepper

    2. Rubber Soul

    1. Abbey Road

  • @xxxWabbitxxx95 Revolver?

  • @TheGamanic a very very VERY close sixth :)

  • Mues, I believe that John Lennon's decisions were very chemically-induced right after The Beatles broke up, not to mention the influence of Yoko Ono.

  • "Two Virgins" came out before The Beatles broke up.

  • I'd rather that the Beatles broke up when they did and didnt do shit like replacing John or something like what AC/DC and The Who did.

  • I don't know why but my favourite song from a female singer songwriter is Umberella catchy as shit

  • Sublime= #1 punk rock band of all time

  • I loved 70s punk, it had such a raw, aggressive style of music that was perfect...

  • The "Two Virgins" exerpt sounded really creepy! No wonder why people hated it: it sounds frightening enough to be played in a Halloween haunted house setting! I think I am going to have nightmares and be afraid of the dark now, lol.

  • I'm not making fun of you or anything, but why do you say "excape" insted of "escape"?

  • There's a reason why I listen to European Metal, Folk rock, folk metal, and classical. At least that stuff continues to be original and a band's worst album is always good in some form or another. Must be because they're no where near the mainstream media.

  • LOL u know wats funny.... Haters cant believe it when "good" rappers say Lil Wayne is good.... Eminem said it as well as KRS-One and Jay-Z .... So i just find it funny when Lil Wayne haterz just go crazy when that happens :P

  • @ASuperS Well it's foolish to assert that just because someone with cred said something, you should believe it. It's called appeal to authority and is a very annoying fallacy lol. But on the actual subject matter, people have their own opinions and nobody can really change them so the whole "live and let live" thing is pretty much how it's gotta go down :P

  • @ASuperS

Eminem and Jay-Z are sellouts. Of COURSE they're gonna suck Wayne's dick. He's the face of mainstream rap right now.

KRS One is great, but it's still sad he thinks that way about Wayne....

It doesn't matter. Lil Wayne has no rapping talent, no rock talent, no singing talent, and no instrumental talent.

    Go ahead. Prove me wrong.

  • @justforthelulzzz U PEOPLE GET THE WRONG IDEA.. God nvm , jus fuck it

  • Lennon was very experimental but alot of it is just avant-garde and The Beatles really became greater artist when Rubber Soul and Revolver came out and I agree with you putting The Beatles breaking up at no.1 and Kurt should be number 2 he brought back real music killing all of the pop metal bands. and the ramones aren't all that great to me.

  • The release of Eminem's Encore and all further CDs has to be somewhere here.

He set his standard so amazingly high with all CDs up to Eminem Show, with some of his CDs being among the best rap has seen, and then he falls flat on his face.

  • Two Virgins is fucking scary

  • What's the song in the intro?

  • My favorite albums by the Beatles are Sgt Pepper, the White Album, Abbey Road, and Rubber Soul.

  • Look Look, KRS-One said "Lil Wayne is the dopest mc OUT" Not ever

  • #2 should be Kurt Cobain killing himself.

  • @MCRisextremelygood

    No....

Kurt Cobain was overrated, and if he DIDN'T shoot himeslf, he wouldn't be nearly as popular. He wasn't even that great of a musician, TBH.

  • @justforthelulzzz how wasent he a great musician? Kurt Cobain made the most creative music ever. I can't find 1 artist that had a bigger syle or creativity and he wasen't overrated either. He became famous when he never wanted to be, fell into deppresion, and one day he was so deppresed he killed himself. so therfor your comment is unrelevent.

  • @DontClickMe101

A few things I would like to touch on:

    "unrelevent"? WTF man.

He wasn't that great of a guitarist or singer. I don't care what anybody says. Lyrics? Sure. He was a good lyricist. But as far as actual vocal and guitar talent, he was "alright".

No, my comment is not "unrelevent" because of your opinion. And it isn't "unrelevent" because you think you proved me wrong.

History shows that if you die young, you die a legend. Moreso than if you died old.

    Cobain is no exception.

  • No Chinese Democracy?

  • Aesop Rock, KRS-1>Lil' Wayne

  • Mues, me and you could be music buddies. I'm very into the way you think about music. Music is my first love and always will be. BTW, I'm a chick for some reason people think when I have an opinion deeper than what nail polish I'm going to wear, they assume I'm a dude.

  • MISFITS SUCK

  • dude the misfits are awsome yeah some of the songs off the albums after danzig left were not really punk alot of them were gd.

  • JUSTIN BIEBER NEEDS TO BE ON HERE HES SHIT

  • feist is canadian pride. hot too :D

  • i go to sarah barellies old high school

  • Totally understand the Project 1950, I totally loved all of the Misfits albums, Walk Amongst Us and Static Age, and then I got to Project 1950... WTF! and Marky Ramone did the solo song of this Nirvana song, Negative Creep, oh wow, that sucked

  • Avril Lavigne really fucked up music. She's on my top 10 list

  • Interestingly enough Rubber Soul is actually my favorite Beatles album and Revolver is my second favorite.

  • "Regina Spektor is pure fucking talent"

THANK YOU! She is a rare gem in the musical world. This other crap that passes for music these days makes me cringe. Especially pop music. All music sucks. And everyone who listens to it is an idiot. That's just my opinion, but, its fact.

  • the thing about wayne is that he puts out so much crap you'd forget that he can make music. hustla muzik, mr carter,go dj,fireman, dear summer. as well as his verses on cannon and renaissance rap remix

  • @BlueHat15 I imagine they'd be like a more prolonged version of Bob Dylan... Awesome at the start and then they'd just become awful with age. They broke up before jumping the shark, I think, or jumping it completely, at least; I'm glad it kept it like that.

  • Lagwagon, look them up. anything from the "Hoss" album.

  • The Ramones last few albums were actually pretty good. If you really wanna to talk about the Ramones losing it though, you should look at Dee Dee's rap album.

  • I dont agree that "Within You Without You" and "The Inner Light" were The Beatles worst songs. "Love You To" is not too good, however.

  • I´m the only who want to punch this fuckin hater?

  • @antibiebermovement A whole bunch of other great legends, like Q-Tip, Canabis, and Andre 3000 said Wayne was dope as well. Im dissapointed as well

  • dude I completely agree with #1. but I'll explain to you what John was thinkning. He loved Yoko, A LOT. So he pretty much did whatever she said to do. And they just recorded 2 Virgins, then when they finished they did it. Same with Life With the Lions. Except, you gotta understand, it's called UNFINISHED MUSIC. I think that was a message from John saying : THIS SOUNDS LIKE CRAP in a nice way so Yoko won't scream at him.

  • abbey road and let it be are great albums

  • the Ramones is and will always be my fav band. So any little negative remark you make about them will piss me off, but i KINDA agree with you on the Phil Spector years.

  • i lost all respect for KRS-one.

  • John Lennon sucks. He is #1 on my dartboard list. His music sounded like a bunch of instruments were farting and throwing up at the same time and then the voices...I'm not even going to go there!

  • @cuppycakes1996 Whos #2? :P

  • @cuppycakes1996 What the fuck?? Have you listened to anything past Revolution 9 and Unfinished Music? Go research your shit before you post stupid comments like that.

  • I dont see what is so good about john lenon anyway hes like nothing without the rest of the beetles

  • John Lennon's Unfinished Music and George Harrison's Electronic Sound were released before the Beatles broke up, so your argument that Beatles have let you down by releasing 3 (in your opinion) shitty albums right after the Beatles broke up is kinda bullshit

  • I'm kinda curious, you hear of Prince EA? He's kind of a youtube rapper I guess you can say. I'd call him underground. Just curious if you dig that kind of rap (he's got a vid of a 20 min. freestyle, crazy..)
