pretty fair review, he is right about the challenge factor though, when I was young games like contra, mario, and donkey kong country were popular and were quite challenging, now with children's games like cars 2, toy story 3 and rango, its all about the rewards instead of the challenge. i think this review was dead on accurate.

You're reviewing this as an adult, and not as a kid whilst letting past game experience get in the way of the review. Kids playing this game probably won't have cracked out Halo on Legendary or anything, so it's a good way of stepping them up to the more challenging games. Also, stop playing on Normal, there's a difficulty changer in the Options.

IT DESERVES MORE THAN A 6! just because a game has a different art style doesnt mean it's not worth an 8 or more; blood, "hardcore" graphics, and complications does not make a game better at all. IMO this game deserves at least a 7 or 8. I'm 33 and although I see how the game targets children I found the little ninjas and funny little enemies ("ninjas! ni-ni-ni-ninjas!") adorable and I found the game surprisingly fun. It is very stable, too, and I dare say, for the first time ever, I found plugging in my Xbox controller to play this game to be surprisingly refreshing.
The enemies turn into animals because the samurai leader guy was stealing animals from the forest and turning them into samurais, thats why there are so many caged up animals.

Anywho, I just started playing the game so I can't say whether or not I agree with this review, but so far I'd give it an 8 or an 8.5. It's very charming and fun.
Are you from the US? I don't know about where you are from, but no game, even brand new is 80 bucks, unless it's something like Rock Band. Even on PS3 and 360 the new games are 60, and for wii they are 50.
In sweden some of the new games costs 700SEK and acording to google that's like 99US$ and that's pretty fucked up. I hate Gamestop, they're assholes. Luckily it's much cheaper online...
Its a very nice adverture game!! A very good variety in the gameplay and levels. A love the kiddy kind of humor in the game. The RPG system for your accessoires is also nice. Overall i give this game a 8,5/10, and for me its the best game of 2009!! :D
i know a game thats much cheaper and more fun...i-ninja for the ps2, this is pretty much that game, just with updated graphics, plus you can get it for like 10 bucks, and you can actually slice the enemies in different places, with them having like green stuff in them, very cartoony and fun, check it out

I'd give this game an 8.3/10. The combat is somewhat deep with the Kuji magic and nija accessories like bombs and caltrops plus you get 6 different ninjas. There is alot of variety in the levels. Kind of reminds me of a LOZ game

THIS GAME IS SO FUN AND AWESOME! IT DESERVES MORE THAN A 6! just because a game has a different art style doesnt mean it's not worth an 8 or more; blood, "hardcore" graphics, and complications does not make a game better at all. It has a different vibe to it and flows well with the simple gameplay; because it works! And as for the deaths; are you serious? Just because they turn back into the creatures they once were and doesnt have "real" deaths means that its score should be lowerd? crap -_-

IMO this game deserves at least a 7 or 8. I'm 33 and although I see how the game targets children I found the little ninjas and funny little enemies ("ninjas! ni-ni-ni-ninjas!") adorable and I found the game surprisingly fun. It is very stable, too, and I dare say, for the first time ever, I found plugging in my Xbox controller to play this game to be surprisingly refreshing.

The enemies turn into animals because the samurai leader guy was stealing animals from the forest and turning them into samurais, thats why there are so many caged up animals.

@oLawlieto I know this is an old comment, but I feel I should speak up. Exactly where did you get this info? Of course there were actual ninjas and there still are for Christ's sake. They just didn't/don't have the ability to do shit like run up walls and walk on water, that was just all speculation.
Anywho, I just started playing the game so I can't say whether or not I agree with this review, but so far I'd give it an 8 or an 8.5. It's very charming and fun.

Are you from the US? I don't know about where you are from, but no game, even brand new is 80 bucks, unless it's something like Rock Band. Even on PS3 and 360 the new games are 60, and for wii they are 50.

Its a very nice adverture game!! A very good variety in the gameplay and levels. A love the kiddy kind of humor in the game. The RPG system for your accessoires is also nice. Overall i give this game a 8,5/10, and for me its the best game of 2009!! :D

i know a game thats much cheaper and more fun...i-ninja for the ps2, this is pretty much that game, just with updated graphics, plus you can get it for like 10 bucks, and you can actually slice the enemies in different places, with them having like green stuff in them, very cartoony and fun, check it out

I'd give this game an 8.3/10. The combat is somewhat deep with the Kuji magic and nija accessories like bombs and caltrops plus you get 6 different ninjas. There is alot of variety in the levels. Kind of reminds me of a LOZ game
