Hey Saestrol, i thinky that ur vids r mazin coz ur awsum at it! plz can ya telll me wha the nname of the nex lvl is coz i realy like de names of dem and im dying to beat this level IM STUCK ON THE SHELL! btw to de other ppl why do ya use tuch scren its alot ezier using de arrow keys! omg ubisoft have created an icon that looks like will never loz itz touch; well dun ubisoft!
D-Pad control is delayed. Touchscreen Analog is a little akward. Graphics are inferior to the N64 and the performance compared to other versions is lacking.
There are loading times between stages, and about a hundred other things I could say about it. It's a sub-par port that should have been an original Rayman game instead of a remake of Rayman 2 The Great Escape.
i like some of the ps1 version changes that i have seen but must i dont. ps2 version is quite good but im not sure if they added any levels and i HATE the fact the that swap level is just before the menhire hills. ds version is the worst version (n64) made far worse and dreamcast vesion looks good
This was one the part of the game I could never figure out. I rode through there a lot on the running shell but somehow never got the damn iron giant to stomp on the trees. I sued N64, but how do you get this guy to stomp on the trees??? Grrrr. I somehow accidentally got one of 4, so I have 996. >:(
It's tricky, but the Iron Giant will follow very close. so you might want to run right by the trees to get it crushed. The N64 version has the hardest control so you might have to loop around a few times like I did.
On the dreamcast version you can see the lums from a far distance, whereas on the PC version you can only see the lums unless you are close to them but when you reach that bit with the iron monster the lums are more likely to be there
The PS1 version of the game had some levels removed such as The Sancutary of Water and Ice, the Iron Mountains, amoung a few others. The Yellow Lum count was even reduced to 800 on that one. So it's a lot different compared to the other games staying close to the roots.
I honestly don't care what people say. I found this game to be much more satisfying, challenging, and replayable than any Mario or Zelda game I've played.
RideTheCatfish, I agree. :D Although, I love Zelda and Mario, I do think this game had more replay ability. It's one of the those games, that just doesn't get boring after the first play through. And, The Iron Mountains is my favorite level in Rayman 2. :D
they call it the iron mountain for a resonn ill tell you becuz theres iron there and pirates are made out of iron and the stomper is irontoo so about 5 pirates in the first secion
i hate that thing right it stompme im like wtf but i mange to get away from it it was hard to get away it onlywill go after u on the rocket but y not on feet -.0

Help!! I have 989 lums! I only need 10 more! the last ten are in the iron mopuntains but I anint finding them! This is on the PC
BLANKMEMORYDATA 3 years ago
You need to look harder. Only 4 of them are underneath trees that can be destroyed by the giant. The rest are in sight.
Saestrol 3 years ago
I really did strugle to find them on the PC version as well. Only It's the last 5.
xX0pcalscozp0Xx 3 years ago
Oh and i can explain your problem.

Too bad the fourth guardian is missing in this version. He is so kick-ass in Revolution (and hard).

I'm not a showoff...i can show you, if you can tell me the name of this recording program.
pendrive4 3 years ago
There are so many recording applications out there that any one will do.
This one is called TVR, but if you bought a capture card, then it will come with it's own recording program.

i can do better!(on pc)Without gold hands!

I'm not trying to showoff or anything.
With all the processing I had to do in the video, I was lucky the Iron Giant is the only thing I had a problem with.
Saestrol 3 years ago
Hmm... yeah I would have to agree with that point. The level had wind currents during that one part before the Air Balloon too.
I think that's why some major changes were made regarding that in Rayman Revolution.
Saestrol 3 years ago
I really wish we could see the part when your getting chased by the ciant iron thing in a diffrent angle. It looks like it would be pretty funny

Teddybeer123 4 years ago 3
In this case, I think it's the capture card I have. It's limited on what you can control about the picture's brightness and contrast.
Too much of either and the colors are washed out. I wish I still had the S-Video cables for the Dreamcast.
