  • That hot air balloon is pure hate. I've been trying to each it for like 20 minutes but always end up just barely too low.

  • i never knew where i was supposed to got with the rocket 6:10

  • always sleepyng on the job LOL

  • this was a big help, thanks.

  • Man discs produce a much better looking game than cartridges.

  • aaa just finished it :) I hate all the shell parts, especially the fire sanctuary one.

  • Im playing rayman 2 on my ipod, and Im up to the shell part. So damn hard to get past the iron thing..

  • nice!!!!!prutt

  • thanks i

  • i like the original version, the real version and rayman is history

  • Wow, the dreamcast version looks much better than the N64...

  • @TwilightPrincess68 Well the Dreamcast version is often cosidered the best version of the game

  • dramatic replay

  • Thanks. Though this isn't an LP.

  • The best version of Rayman 2: The Great Escape is Dreamcast

  • whats emulator you use?

and where can i get that emulator?

  • This is the real deal. Don't know why people keep assuming it's emulated.

  • @Saestrol

    because the capture is good

  • This game has the best atmosphere ever accept for rayman 1 that one it's the best.

  • Oh God, this level. I love this game, but I remember failing horribly at this level for a while as a kid.

  • Why did I never see that Crystal? Is it because I have the N64 one?

  • Globox Crystals: Dreamcast only.

  • I fucking love this game, it's my favorite one from all of them

  • Hey Saestrol, i thinky that ur vids r mazin coz ur awsum at it! plz can ya telll me wha the nname of the nex lvl is coz i realy like de names of dem and im dying to beat this level IM STUCK ON THE SHELL! btw to de other ppl why do ya use tuch scren its alot ezier using de arrow keys! omg ubisoft have created an icon that looks like will never loz itz touch; well dun ubisoft!

  • this level no,THIS GAME IS WHOLE BEATY ,the design and themes of the world

in the the air balloon made me almost cry

  • That big chicken robot always reminded me of Metal Gear Rex without any weapons.

  • I so hate this level.. i absolutely suck at shell riding so...

  • ARRRGH! i remeber this all too well! i always hated this part!

  • 1:49 Amen to the caption below =[

  • the hot air balloon music is the best. on ds version, I pause and listen for it for like half an hour =P

  • Wow ur so gud at dis! We've tried to pass dis level so many times!!! Thaxz dude!

  • yeah this was the best game ever. But waht was that machine suppose to be 2:06

  • make a video about getting the four lums underneath those four rocks by that big robot chicken on the otherside of the IRON mountains, please.

  • A.K.A., Anger Producing, Stress Inducing Suicide Run.

  • Why is the worst, dude?

  • D-Pad control is delayed. Touchscreen Analog is a little akward. Graphics are inferior to the N64 and the performance compared to other versions is lacking.

There are loading times between stages, and about a hundred other things I could say about it. It's a sub-par port that should have been an original Rayman game instead of a remake of Rayman 2 The Great Escape.

  • so how do u get the lums from underneath the rocks again?

  • I also like the sound of the iron giant in this level.

  • The DS version isnt THAT bad. It's only problem is the iffy control pad operation.

  • Awesome! Good job! :D

  • i like some of the ps1 version changes that i have seen but must i dont. ps2 version is quite good but im not sure if they added any levels and i HATE the fact the that swap level is just before the menhire hills. ds version is the worst version (n64) made far worse and dreamcast vesion looks good

  • Regardless of it's annoyingness, this is probably one of my favorite levels.

And lol, darn that Chicken Walker.

  • This was one the part of the game I could never figure out. I rode through there a lot on the running shell but somehow never got the damn iron giant to stomp on the trees. I sued N64, but how do you get this guy to stomp on the trees??? Grrrr. I somehow accidentally got one of 4, so I have 996. >:(

  • That's I USED****** N64, hahaha not sued.

  • Heh heh....

It's tricky, but the Iron Giant will follow very close. so you might want to run right by the trees to get it crushed. The N64 version has the hardest control so you might have to loop around a few times like I did.

  • Hated that shell-riding spot. Not because it was tough, but only because I got really motion sick from flying around. X_X

Always did my best kamikaze impression; Whee! *Boom* Loop-De-Loop! *Boom* BANZAI! *Boom*

  • i cant wait to put my recorded videos of rayman 2 up =D

  • Help!! I have 989 lums! I only need 10 more! the last ten are in the iron mopuntains but I anint finding them! This is on the PC

  • You need to look harder. Only 4 of them are underneath trees that can be destroyed by the giant. The rest are in sight.

  • I really did strugle to find them on the PC version as well. Only It's the last 5.

  • Oh and i can explain your problem.

On the dreamcast version you can see the lums from a far distance, whereas on the PC version you can only see the lums unless you are close to them but when you reach that bit with the iron monster the lums are more likely to be there

  • Too bad the fourth guardian is missing in this version. He is so kick-ass in Revolution (and hard).

  • Ya they really need to make a rayman game thats JUST rayman

  • i dont remember this map, i played rayman 2 on playstation so maybe because of that or just that this map slipped my memory

  • The PS1 version of the game had some levels removed such as The Sancutary of Water and Ice, the Iron Mountains, amoung a few others. The Yellow Lum count was even reduced to 800 on that one. So it's a lot different compared to the other games staying close to the roots.

  • Well on the th ps1 version it had a simalar version of this level called gloomy islands

  • I honestly think this ios one of the best levels in the game...it's fucking amazing

  • That Iron Giant bit scares me O.o

  • I honestly don't care what people say. I found this game to be much more satisfying, challenging, and replayable than any Mario or Zelda game I've played.

Great job on this whole walkthrough.

  • Thanks. My goal was to collect everything and this is the first time I've done it 100%

You can NEVER get tired of this game. It's just too awesome.

  • MY n64 game list

    1. Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time

    2. Rayman 2 TGE

    3. Kirby and the crystal shards

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

#3 is because of the awesome power mixing

  • RideTheCatfish, I agree. :D Although, I love Zelda and Mario, I do think this game had more replay ability. It's one of the those games, that just doesn't get boring after the first play through. And, The Iron Mountains is my favorite level in Rayman 2. :D

  • great movie

    really funny XD

  • I'm not a showoff...i can show you, if you can tell me the name of this recording program.

  • There are so many recording applications out there that any one will do.

This one is called TVR, but if you bought a capture card, then it will come with it's own recording program.

  • Man, that would have helped so much over here.

  • i can do better!(on pc)Without gold hands!

  • I'm not trying to showoff or anything.

With all the processing I had to do in the video, I was lucky the Iron Giant is the only thing I had a problem with.

  • Hmm... yeah I would have to agree with that point. The level had wind currents during that one part before the Air Balloon too.

I think that's why some major changes were made regarding that in Rayman Revolution.

  • I really wish we could see the part when your getting chased by the ciant iron thing in a diffrent angle. It looks like it would be pretty funny

  • they call it the iron mountain for a resonn ill tell you becuz theres iron there and pirates are made out of iron and the stomper is irontoo so about 5 pirates in the first secion

  • Heh heh yeah. A play on words because the level is long and you gotta be "iron clad" to survive it.

  • i hate that thing right it stompme im like wtf but i mange to get away from it it was hard to get away it onlywill go after u on the rocket but y not on feet -.0

  • unlucky on being stomped to death by big iron guy!

  • I hate the way that thing moves. You can barely tell where it's lets are going.

  • OMG AT 08:05 XDDDD

  • I had some painful and fun moments in the second section. XD

  • I know the last sanctuary's name: The Sanctuary of mines and miners.

Since Globox's baby found the last mask in a mine. XD

  • The baby globoxes are so cute.

  • Will you make a video of the mini-games Saestrol?

  • Yep Either after the Prison Ship or before... maybe next, cause I just did something incredibly stupid...

  • What have you done? :O You havent deleted your save didnt you!? XD

  • In this case, I think it's the capture card I have. It's limited on what you can control about the picture's brightness and contrast.

Too much of either and the colors are washed out. I wish I still had the S-Video cables for the Dreamcast.

  • What do all the crystals get you?

  • They unlock mini-games in the Globox village.

Something I've been neglecting to do ever since because the entrance in in the Woods of Light.

  • Are they the mutiplayer feature in this game?

  • Yes, some of those Mini-games are multiplayer.

  • God damn you WERE close @_@;; i can sure feel your pain there.

  • this game is a game of beauty
