I recently picked this game up for $5 at a used video game store. A few minutes before posting this, I was playing it for the first time on my ORIGINAL Game Boy (the thick gray model w/ green screen) that I've owned since kindergarten.

When I started hearing this theme, I just had to plug my headphones in. Despite my GB's finicky volume control, the music still sent chills down my spine with its dark yet very catchy awesomeness.

Ah yes, good times. Whenever I think of this game and this song, I remember when I was 10 and I was playing Game Boy the entire road trip to the Grand Canyon. 3 day trip and Metroid II to keep me entertained. :)

Too bad the other music isn't of this quality. It's simple atmospheric noise, which isn't bad and really helps the...... atmosphere, but I'd rather have swinging tunes like this instead of those scary noises.

Yes, i love the recent metroid music! My project is just to upload all the metroid music from the very 1st metroid game all the way to metroid prime 3. I've just been lazy and havn't been posting music lately.
