Is this the best usage of our medical resources? Some idiot who wants to risk further injury? This is stupid. I don't care how many haters will reply that "he's got a right to live is life..." I submit that risking death is *not* living.
You say that "risking death is not living"...Well perhaps not for you...However for those of us who continue doing what we love, what we're passionate about, despite the challenges life has thrown at us...I consider a triumph of the human spirit, not a "waist of medical resources"... The only real tragedy in life is when people don't follow their dreams and passions, and instead allow fear to steer them into a life of complacency and mediocrity... that sir, IS NOT LIVING!!!
Right on bro, I pre ran the first 200 miles and I seen what he seen. I have much respect for what you have accomplished keep riding bro you make me want to ride harder. God speed
Whoa that was an awesome performance! I broke my back as well T7-T9 near Palm Springs in 2003. I was lucky not to damage my spinal cord, but due to the hardware in my back I was told not to ride or risk the chance of paralyzation. I sure do miss riding though, there was such an immense amount of "Freedom" while riding that can't be replaced. Keep the Faith Ricky!!
this is pretty cool, my family and the james' family have been close for a long time. 3 years ago my mom got the call that ricky was a t9 parapalegic. everyone thought that he wouldnt get back on a bike. he did the elsinore motocross on a quad (which was pretty funny cause they duct taped him to it). its pretty amazing to see him where he is today. keep on keeping on
Ricky, that was awesome. I ride with Danny and he told me you guys really went through alot on this ride. Congrats for getting back out there and I wish you the very best.
you are a warrior ricky, que Dios y la virgen te bendigan por ser una inspiracion, yo ando en motocross y aun tu estando paralizado eres mil veces mejor que yo, go ahead ricky.
Ricky James is so amazing.. he rides enduro and motorcross on his converted honda. (the same one he seperated his spine on) The bike has been converted to electric shifting, leg protection bars as well has hooks to keep his legs tucked in, and a special seat..... Ricky james you are a true hero! Keep riding buddy!

It refers to the location of the injury on the spinal cord. T7 is in the middle of the abdomen region.
