But...that makes no sense. The Germans have a stereotype, but they're not a race, so do the French, Italians, English, Rednecks etc, but they aren't races.

There's a negative stereotype that portrays the Irish as drunken leprechauns, that's called prejudice. Racism only applies to race, not nationality.
