  • BOOM! ::thumbs up::

  • what if you over rotate from a backflip?

  • @dakporto i think ur going to be fcked up o.o (just start practicing in a soft floor )

  • Is it okay if I don't post with my hands and just do the look?

  • @experimentalcake in judo, jiu jitsu and aikido we practice these rolls "armless" too. So, its yes you can. However, its a bit of a risk on a hard surface since the fingers and tricep provide a surprising amount of spring and margin for error to the surface.

  • @experimentalcake yes, just be careful of the impact on your shoulder. The hands are used to post so you can set your shoulder down softly. But mess around and see what works best for you.

  • Thank you so much. You explain it very well :)

  • this guy explains it wayyy better

  • OMG PEOPLE GET A LIFE ALL WHAT YOU CARE ABOUT IS THE FLAGS??!!

  • is the side flip tutorial out?

  • @Vman9484 not yet, i think arash is releasing them every 4 days or so.

  • No England flag...

  • lol

  • no Malaysia flag either... :(

  • I learned this is brazilian Jusitsu, but that was a few years ago...this was good review though

  • Important to note you should be rolling diagonally across your back from your right shoulder to your left waist for example.

  • @MrEmoji good call. I know alot of people go diagonally, I do too to some extent. I like to keep my weight mostly on my shoulders as they are much stronger than my hips. But yeah man, lots of people like the shoulder to waist version as well.

  • @FallenSabre You would be correct, but in the spirit of simplicity, we'll just ignore lingo for a moment ;)

  • awesome stuff man!

  • i tryed it, im in the hspital XDD

  • This is good free information.

  • Doing drops like a pro traceur..

  • @Knk082 use bombs wisely!

  • Now this is GOOD stuff!!

  • Great tip!

  • you always make it look to easy

  • two thumbs up

  • i didn't like this tutorial...

  • @xirolf What would you prefer to see? or was it the way it was explained? Im always open to constructive criticism. Thanks for the feedback

  • @AnomalyFreerunning i think you shouldn't concentrate to explain this in details like "when you go down your should look back" because some people may concentrate to look back and to not do the proper movement and getting injured. I know they will try this slow the first time but i don't like it. It's a natural movement that comes out by itself when you need to not get injured. People should understand to do the best natural movement to not get injured in any situation.

  • @xirolf let me preficiate this by saying im not trying to start a big argument. But i do love factually supported debates. I disagree as with any sport you must learn the mechanics in order to do a move properly and safely. If you dont not go over the details of what works, doesnt work and why, that is when people get hurt. It only becomes a natural movement after continuous practice. But just like in parkour, once you have the fundamental structure down you tweak it to make it your own style.

  • ukemi

  • Nice Tutorial! I can´t wait for the next Tutorials. Keep going the good work.

  • Great roll!!

  • if I could I'd subscribe twice

  • Totally awesome! But the flags are kind of irritating...

  • @tsi2568 yeah, theyve been up since before the gym moved into that location in the early 70s I believe. Old flags

  • I´m starting in parkour with wall runs and things like that because i also practise triatlon and i musn´t get hurt.

  • david villa

  • @Fiuliiu *safe

  • Wow in all videos you explain really good and all and it looks pretty safety, but I'm too much of a coward to try to do the tricks... But anyways great videos and maybe I'll someday get the guts to try one of the tricks :3

  • That seems more like an ukemi... i thought a pk roll rolls from shoulder to opposite hip?

    anyone help me out?

  • @FallenSabre you are totally correct man. There are multiple versions of PK rolls, each one has different merits. This is the style i use most and like best. But yeah man, nice catch.

  • Great video. knew this from Ju jitsu but very good explanation! (spell check?)

  • no polish flag either ;[

  • @sk81sf4n

This gym really messed up! :(

  • @strengthproject i'm just kidding :P, anyhow if i have a chance to say anything to you as you have answered to me for the first time, i'd like to say thanks for every video and everything you do for people and sending us so much positive energy, I wish you all the best. keep doing what youre doing and stay positive ;]

P.S. This move comes from jiu-jitsu i know it cause ive been training it for almost 7 years now :)

  • @sk81sf4n there isn't a Spain flag :(

  • anyone thought 'i wanna fly' by the end of the video?

  • @plamenxyzpenchev I did, haha

  • nice! i like it!

  • Loud and clear.

  • this sound like a car crsh...

  • no canadian flag... :(

  • Ukemi

  • WTF why there is the flag of the DDR? xD

  • @titanhondo

    I'm wondering the same thing.

  • @titanhondo I think those flags are there because the countries represented by these flags have athletes who have exceeded in gymnastics.

  • @titanhondo lol there's also flag of soviet union... xD Either the video was recorded over 20 years ago or this gym is really outdated xD

  • @littlesoldiergraba actually you hit it right on the head. Newhope, the gym we film at was built and painted back in the early 70s. (72 I think.)

  • @titanhondo The wall of flags in the gym were painted back in 72 I believe, its a pretty old place.
