Hey, so for my Film Production course at my school, I want to use this effect for something. I've been trying it, but I can't get it to look as good as your's and MGM's. Is there something like motion tracking involved? Or just making sure you get the exact same shot twice? That's the part I can't figure out.

@shmackinblack u have to cut the footage when u move between master footage and the other u shoot later u should cut it in the middle of all the motion blur if u need a tutorial ill make one its a pretty easy effect

@Herlyskate honestly a tutorial won't help. You need a certain amount of skill to do this. I for example do alot of rotoscoping and after effects work so I get how to do it from the explanation. If you don't, then your probably not experienced enough to do it

The effect is great all except the tree one. You can tell easily that it isn't part of the original movie taken. One contributing factor to this is when the camera shakes to the right the imaged person doesn't follow the camera perfectly.
