@DCkyleDC I had that same problem. What I did was bought a wireless adapter for my ps3 so that I could move my ps3 upstairs to where my computer was. I record black ops gameplay, so I put the gameplay videos in my fileshare. Then about once a week I move my ps3 and tv near my computer, upload the footage, and move it back. It takes a long time, but it works. I hope this helped.

u could also buy a usb cord that's 100 ft or buy a recording device that's wireless. I know the blitzbox has one that's wireless and lets u record on your ps3 up to 100 feet away from your computer but u can't record in HD. I have a hauppauge HD PVR that lets me record in 1080i. I'm sure the blitzbox will come out w/ one soon that lets u record in HD. They just came out w/ one that allows u to play your game in HD but still records in standard def.

u can only record sd and play in sd, but this works great. I actually already knew all this, but was looking for something else and decided... what the hell. and btw, the ps3 has no switch on the side, its a straight connection to component rca. which is unfortunately all this device is capable of, composite would have been better. anyway, make sure you play in sd, take your hd cables out, because they will cause problems

If your computer is far away u will need to buy a blitzbox. It's better bcuz it costs the same, it has a capture card built in, plus u can do it wireless. Look up Blitzbox on YouTube. Theirs a video description that explains what it does.

@d33malizer867 I think it can be as far as 100 feet. If u watch the video on youtube it tells u how far away it can be. The blitzbox is the best thing if u want wireless but if u wanna record in 1080i the hauppauge hd pvr is good. That's what I use. U can also buy a super long usb cord if it's in the other room. The blitzbox will let u play your game in HD but u can only record standard. It makes a huge difference in the quality of the video.

thanks that was really good tut but I done all that and I get pretty good quality on my easy cap but on my TV its really bad when I select PAL 60 but when I select PAL 50 but TV goes good and I then can read the writing but I need pal 60 to play mw2 :(
