  • they should have used this for there excuse to crush Saddam rather than there future bullshit war it might have been a better ending

  • This is also a part of a war movie, about American Marines in Kuwait/Iraq, they have to pass the oil fields. Who can tell me what the titel of the movie is?

  • @ienimienieminimie What else happened in the movie?

  • @SpellboundSolution I have already found it (after 2 hours searching) the movie called Jarhead.

  • @ienimienieminimie i believe you are thinking about the movie "Jarhead" with Jake Gyllenhall. They walk trough the burning oil fields and it describes the war from a much more psycological point of view, than some of the other mainstream hollywood war movies. a bit depressing movie, but good :P

  • @ienimienieminimie Jarhead

  • @ienimienieminimie I think the film you are thinking of is Jarhead.

  • @ienimienieminimie jarhead

  • how many days were the oil wells on fire for?

  • @choochinbigtime420 They burned from January to November, so somewhere around 300 days.

  • @SpellboundSolution so thats .. 1.5 Billion Barrels of Oil. Thats 63 Billion Gallons / 239 Litres ! Gone. Not like that did anything to affect global temperatures or anything right ... war is a mess.

  • Tyrants have a way of destroying the very land and people that they seek out to control.

The more things change, the more they remain the same.

I watched this movie at the Smithsonian IMAX theater in the National Air and Space museum and it was spectacular. You felt like you were actually in the fires of hell because the movie screen is 2 stories high ! Putting out those fires was a monumental task and worthy of admiration. Thanks so much for putting this up. :-)

  • @TheDeparted112570 ya both situations were pretty greedy and evil

  • Who narrated this film can anyone tell me please?

  • @CumbyOnThePiss Rip Torn.

  • I'm from Kuwait and I remember thus days when saddam invaded as and burned our oil it bad

  • Saddam a criminal, even to the people

  • This, my friends... Is what hell is.

  • how many hudreds of years of crude oil did this destroy?

  • Saddam deserved to stay, he was a legitimate leader of a prosperous people.

  • @0HippyHunter0 Yeah, he ran the world's best amusement park. That part where people had to applaud while family members were being tortured to death before their eyes was the best ride, but the oily slide ride shown in the video was also quite fun. It's a great shame that amusement park got shut down.

Since you've got one of those imbecilic anonymous masks on your channel I'm going to assume you're a troll; I pray for mankind if you're not.

  • @SpellboundSolution Well, you couldn't find sarcasm if it smacked you in the face.

  • @0HippyHunter0 The sad truth is there are many people in the west who would say what you just did in all sincerity. Look up Poe's Law. And if you've got a really strong stomach take a look at the Huffington Post.

  • @SpellboundSolution ah, my inspiration.

  • @0HippyHunter0 ye a great leader who shot my grandpa because he insulted an iraqi private who stole his food supply. you dont bother to look at how much pain kuwait went through! i was 10 when he was executed and i laughed my ass off!

  • Man, fuck Saddam. Glad they hung the bastard.

  • @kikomiko1 dont be proud about more violence even on violent people. thinking like that keeps the world the way it is

  • ...is that Rip Torn?

  • Saddam was a bastard for this shit

  • It's beautiful.

  • @dankvr thats not beatiful ok! kuwait is my country and iraq are burning 700 oil wells every day. SO THATS NOT BEATIFUL, NICE, OR GOOD, THATS DANGRES VERY DANGRES

  • Gott mit Huns !!!

  • Stupid Saddam Hussein...

  • impresive documentary. now i would love to see a video about how it looks now after al these years.

  • @3DPeter Pretty boring I'd imagine: just a load of oil wells.

  • @SpellboundSolution no the war happened because of oil wells that lead to the death of thousand soldiers and civilians on all sides

  • @guperyuper And there would have been no death (and no mass graves) in Kuwait in Saddam had been allowed to annex it. No sirrrrrreeee. Moron.

  • im from kuwait it SO changed

    omg biggest davestation ever !

  • messed up shit

  • You have no taste for IMAX films.

  • @texas224 why?

  • @video2k007 Was refering to pipi994
