Actually in Russia, a knife attack is the most common. Also, the bald fellow they keep showing is the the fastest man to disable an opponent with a knife. He actually doesnt train Spetsnaz, he trains trainers. The older gentleman trains Spetsnaz.
This is all complex and fine motor based technique, excecuted against a coperating partner using a predetermined attack. It is a totally ineffective way to train for real fighting.
LOOKS incredible . . . I reserve judgement untill I see it in action against non-resistant partners but hey, it may work then too! I like the move 02:14. Out the door and keep moving!
as a police officer for 30 years, I seen at all, these techniques works when you have a cooperating partner like this video, in the real world the knife attack is unpredictable is all over the place, so fast you can not even see the blade. Good luck if you try to use this system to defend yourself
While they are the best. And this movie is not for them and for you. You do not know the history of special forces. Russian has always been the best in hand-combat and psychological training.
Absolutely, those bastards are hard as nails. The russian people in general are a hard people, born and raised to be resiliant. Not soft like SOME of the more western countrys.
Anyone notice how these guys NEVER do any of this crap on anyone who ISN'T one of their own! Why not try & do this rubbish on a Kali knife fighter for instance? Because they wont fall over when he waves his hand infront of him, thats why! I very much doubt any of these Russian soldiers are actually really trying to stab this guy (superior officer). Try doing it to a really psyched up knife killing loony - systema spetsnaz bullshit.
You train slow to learn the movement correctly and to get it hardwired into your body. That way when you're under pressure and the adrenaline kicks in, your body acts independent of thought and completes the movement. Look up "operant conditioning", Mr. Know It All. Then, challenge one of these guys and tell them you think that all their slow training is no match for your Super Karate Monkey Death Car.
If you guys complain about this, i want you to try and stab one of them

Who would be hurt badly is the deffender if the attacker wouldn't be retarded, jesus christ! This totally nonesense.
The point is, when I move quickly with a knife, there is NO deffense against it, unless you have space and time to run or shoot me with a gun!

they attack slowly because they are teaching and because the attacker would be badly hurt.Try taking a full on punch to your arm or throat
