I want to see this movie. I was introduced to the rave scene by Cincada and Nina. They were at the Beehive in Oakland and I loved the scene and the music. To me transvestites were the geishas of the scene, truly entertaining everyone by their dancing and look, and it was like having the big sister I wish I had to hang out with. No one should hate someone because of how they look or how they feel they should be. Jealousy people! These women are Fantastic!
Saw this last night and, in terms of acting, at times it seemed just a notch above the softcore erotica of Cinemax and Showtime. I found my self laughing at certain scenes in this B-movie production.
This is a GREAT movie i loved it and the grainy effects here and there ..awesome empowerment video! To the stars of this movie all I can say is bravo!

i just seen this movie and it has nothing to do about being gay or transexual its about how hard and dangerous it can be being different , we seem to live in a society where ordinary people give them self the right to judge and where violent people gives them self the right to pray on people who have already suffered so much we are all beautiful in our own way ;)
I'm excited to see this. It may be controversial in the glbt community but so are most movies of meaning in any community. We should just be glad that we have the ability to actually show something like this. Satire, comedy, tragedy, take it for what we can do now and love the steps we've made.

Most trans people are usually not that over the top. Were pretty relaxed and not as glamourous. I mean I love getting done up, don't get me wrong but this movie seems kind of silly to me. We do have to fear for our lives all the time. That is a reality. Especially for those who do not blend in as well. This looks fun but I would not think of it as a good representation for who Trangender people are. It's just a goofy movie with a real situation. I'll see if for sure though :)

Saw this last night and it was amazing. This is ri-god-damn-diculous. Do you know why movies like this are made? It's got nothing to do with comedy, or exploitation, or stereotypes, or political incorrectness. They're made because these women didn't have their Transsexualism identified or treated when they were children. They grew up unhappy, confused or rejected, (like most Transpeople) and now, as adults, they're stuck fighting for the basic human rights and dignity that other people get automatically as a birthright.
When you stop taking "pride" in a stigmatized birth condition, it ceases to be something to fight & joke about. When you get parents & doctors to look for, diagnose & treat Transsexualism in children, & you get insurance companies to pay for this treatment, then soon you don't have "trannies" & you don't need "communities" or "Transpride" because everyone gets to grow up like ordinary males and females. The fight shouldn't be for acceptance in society, it should be for treatment before puberty!

As a TransWoman in Dallas, the city where the movie was filmed, I think this movie is gonna be awsome! Who the hell says that every image depicted in media of transwomen has to be PC? Some of the images seen in this movie may not be pleasant but they are certainly situations that happen in the trans community all the time. Art imitates life so i dont think they were out of line for putting those kinda situations in the movie..
I don't see what the big deal is about this movie. I don't see how people can say this movie is transphobic because it would appear from the trailer that the transexual ladies in this movie are empowered and fighting back. Actually the specific beating scenes are realistic. Which really just makes it weirder and I think they intentionally wanted to make mood whiplash after mood whiplash. After two of them die in the fight with the rednecks for instance, there's that hilarious scene at doctor's office when she comes out of the coma speaking like Daffy Duck. Also the scenes prior to the fights with the rednecks acting threateningly, I've heard similar things transpire this way IRL.
It seems like getting someone to unintentionally question their sexuality when they've been taught anything less than 100% female-only-commitment is gay, and gay is sinful, screws them up inside and makes them get this crazy twisted sexual hatred thing going.

This is ri-god-damn-diculous. Do you know why movies like this are made? It's got nothing to do with comedy, or exploitation, or stereotypes, or political incorrectness. They're made because these women didn't have their Transsexualism identified or treated when they were children. They grew up unhappy, confused or rejected, (like most Transpeople) and now, as adults, they're stuck fighting for the basic human rights and dignity that other people get automatically as a birthright.

When you stop taking "pride" in a stigmatized birth condition, it ceases to be something to fight & joke about. When you get parents & doctors to look for, diagnose & treat Transsexualism in children, & you get insurance companies to pay for this treatment, then soon you don't have "trannies" & you don't need "communities" or "Transpride" because everyone gets to grow up like ordinary males and females. The fight shouldn't be for acceptance in society, it should be for treatment before puberty!

You need to turn off Jerry Springer and join us in the real world. There's a reason 30% of transpeople attempt suicide by the age of 18, & it's not because they're attention starved. You haven't got the slightest clue what it feels like to grow up this way. Was unable to see the movie this weekend, but met some cast and crew at the Rainbow Lounge in Ft. Worth after the QCinema Film Festival. THESE LADIES ARE GREAT, Meeting them was the highlight of my night........Thanks for the Autographs......

@Neisza Neisza, I understand where you are coming from. I don't think this will make it worse. violence is terrible! I believe this movie does more to raise "familiarity" with trannies. Every time I walk into the grocery store I raise awareness!

I'm all for the forward movement of the trans community and i don't think this movie in anyway henders that.. It is actually a trans-spin on blacks-ploitation films in which the transwomen avenge themselves and get their own justice.. Those who call in transphobic have clearly not seen it.. It's sad that people who have struggled to have a voice and be heard would stifle the voices of their own kind

As a TransWoman in Dallas, the city where the movie was filmed, I think this movie is gonna be awsome! Who the hell says that every image depicted in media of transwomen has to be PC? Some of the images seen in this movie may not be pleasant but they are certainly situations that happen in the trans community all the time. Art imitates life so i dont think they were out of line for putting those kinda situations in the movie..

I don't see what the big deal is about this movie. I don't see how people can say this movie is transphobic because it would appear from the trailer that the transexual ladies in this movie are empowered and fighting back. I don't think this movie is saying it is nice to rape and hurt trans people. It is just a slasher, revenge movie with a unique twist.

@thegiltreys Totally agree. It looks to me like a spoof on the revenge-plotation genre of the 70s. Very tongue in cheek. Like Quentin Tarantino's "Death Proof" but with kick ass trans women. If it's not your taste, then fine but don't portray it as something it isn't. The gay community has enough to battle without making up fights where there are none.

This is completely disgusting.
Murder of transgender people are very, very real, and common. It's horrible.
This movie does nothing but make light of a real issue. It's nothing to laugh at, and nothing to make light of. Boycott this movie, people.

Actually the specific beating scenes are realistic. Which really just makes it weirder and I think they intentionally wanted to make mood whiplash after mood whiplash. After two of them die in the fight with the rednecks for instance, there's that hilarious scene at doctor's office when she comes out of the coma speaking like Daffy Duck. Also the scenes prior to the fights with the rednecks acting threateningly, I've heard similar things transpire this way IRL.
