Hey, I hate Fox News as much as the next guy, but I don't feel this reporter was at all dismissive toward the idea. Jokes about the size of the house are natural (the word 'Tiny' is even in the name of the company), and her questions were clearly meant to move things along due to time constraints, rather than to negate his environmental points. There are a lot of reasons to hate Fox, I just don't think this is a good example of their bias.
She is far too close minded. She is embarrassing herself on national television. These homes are Eco friendly, sustainable, and gives millions of people a chance to have a roof over their heads.
You notice how she tried to find an excuse to cut him off the moment he started talking about greenhouse gas emissions? Started fiddling with the door "does this open? - oh look FedEx guys!" - they train their reporters to forward their agenda quite well.
Wow, lots of really self-righteous idiots posting here (Myriadesus, dtmbcorp, jenniferjkv, ntski, tzedekyahu, MrCrazylegs44, the list goes on). Do you guys live on the same planet as the rest of us? Your comments are entirely delusional and pathetic. She was polite, engaging and attempted to be lighthearted. She asked relevant questions and had facts and figures at hand, all of which contradicts your sadly biased and clueless comments.
She was rude because she is near sighted, and a new Yorker. She can't help it. BTW, just cause ur on tv, doesn't mean ur "well to do", just publicly dim, not privately.
Why was she so rude? She presented the home as if it were intended to be a joke. I give credit to Mr. Shaffer for letting it all roll off his back. He had plenty opportunities to put her in her place and he didn't do it. No room for your 50 inch in the bedroom? REALLY ?!?
I love this house. WHY do people make fun of people who actually want to do something about energy consumption and the envioronment? No, lets build another huge ass cookie cutter subdivision. Jeezzzzz
it would appear the journalist didn't do her research and is just "reacting". It is sad to have a different point of view be treated so disrespectful. People who chose a simpler lifestyle are actually being part of the solution instead of the problem. Obviously this isn't the solution for everyone but should give us a reason to rethink our own choices. I think the reporter owes him an apology. Jay you handled yourself with grace.
Wow – that is a wonderful home. Too bad this video piece was delivered in such a condescending negative manner. The American dream for some doesn’t equate to a large warehouse home to hoard the world’s precious resources.
I saw about 5 places I could put a flat screen. She is a moron. If you can't live in there then you got to much crap. Or you have a kid or 2. Rug rats take up space like crazy.
I wished that this interviewer would have been more open-minded about this exciting concept of green living. The Tumbleweed Homes have had my attention for a year now... Would love to see more videos of the insides of various homes available.

Well, there's nothing like having an open mind. And Faux and its news is nothing like having an open mind. My husband and I love these small homes.

"No room for the flat screen" WTF?
If there is any scenario where a flat screen would be beneficial it would be in one of these.

What a witch. Some of us don't need warehouse sized homes because we know how to live without buying tons of crap.
