  • To Hell with the USA Babylon Empire!

The USA Babylon Whore is going to fall and burn.

Today would be a good day for that.

    Maranatha.

  • unfortuatly if ron paul is elected, the powers that be would do away with him just like they did kennedy

  • @36742650885 ...So very TRUE!

  • Well said. VOTE RON PAUL!

  • @VictorR8DR shut the fuck up about ron paul. hes not going to win

  • ahem* "4.00 dollars a gallon"

  • I lol-ed so hard when he even goes so far into his scenario as to cover "the skipper carrying the oil back plays salom with icebergs and kills half the sea life in the north atlantic".

  • Somewhere, an NSA employee is having a mid-life crisis.

  • meh, it's alright. not that amazing at all.

  • FUCK THE POLICE

  • AND THE FUCKING AMERICAN GOVERNMENT

  • "He comes back to find that the plant he used to work at got exported to the country he just got back from and the guy who put the shrapnel in his ass got his old job, 'cause he'll work for 15 cents a day and no bathroom breaks."

If you think this is an exaggeration, look at how many U.S. plants have moved to Vietnam in just the last few years. General Motors, PHI, and several other companies have built plants there. This monologue is frighteningly accurate.

  • @mjax1111 its not frightening at all, one mans success is not anothers failure. This monologue is replete with nothing but paranoid liberal conspiracy theories and economic fallacies; its pathetic and boring, exactly what you would expect from socialist hollywood.

  • @DazedSpy2 You're absolutely right. Outsourcing and pointless wars have been beneficial for corporate CEO's and the politicians that are funded by them. So I guess I should've specified that only the working class American has lost.

  • @mjax1111 outsourcing is better for everyone, moron. It provides cheaper products on the market, raising up living standards. People who lose their jobs lose it because their unproductive, being replaced by others benefits everyone. Including in the long run those who lost their jobs, who will find employment elsewhere more properly allocated to their skills and market worth. This pointless wars being a conspiracy of oil companies is just that, a conspiracy. Though the wars are foolish

  • @DazedSpy2 Spoken like a true ignoramus who's been listening to a few too many Rush Limbaugh podcasts. Outsourcing happens because corporations would rather cut corners and hire labor in countries with absolutely no product safety or labor standards. Why do you think so many Chinese-produced goods are coming under scrutiny for health and QC violations? It's because people are beginning to realize that corner-cutting gives the public a crappier product. You're living in a fantasy world.

  • @DazedSpy2 Fortunately, the American public is starting to see through the mindless "trickle down" BS that people like you have been spewing for years. Your economic model is a failure, it doesn't benefit anybody except the ultra rich, and it's not in the best interests of the American consumer since it ultimately gives us a product that's either harmful, subpar, or unsustainable. Go spew your nonsense elsewhere.

  • best!

  • "It ain't helping my buddy at $2.50 a gallon." haha I wish it was 2.50 a gallon now.

  • club a baby seal

  • Comment removed by order of the NSA

  • @7Lakings7 To actually answer your question, it is occationally used in Cryptology to encode or decode hidden messages, by means unknown to me. I however do agree it is of little to no relevance to the subject at hand. It is however far from being the point of this scene.

  • what does the nsa have to do with string theory?

  • @7Lakings7 YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO ASK THA............

  • @7Lakings7 Physics plays a huge role in military defense. Ever heard of an airplane?

  • @7Lakings7 code breaking, please pay attention

  • its sad how he just predicted the present from past tense indirectly..

    fuck the world,fuck censorship.

you can lock me up but you cant shackle my free will,shit-eaters

im talking to you,the very ones spying on this comment right now

  • @moocowpunk ur crazy

  • @7Lakings7

    You' re an idiot.

  • @saramichealhpt quantum mechanics and national security don't go hand in hand dumbshit. you don't even know what superstring theory is...

  • @7Lakings7

National secutrity is a code word for mass control dumb shit.

  • @saramichealhpt oh so ur a conspirator?

  • @7Lakings7

Nope. A person who' s well awared of the world around her.

  • @7Lakings7 Practical quantum computing would render RSA useless (look up Shor's algorithm), so actually they do go hand-in-hand.

  • @7Lakings7 it takes one to know one bucko

  • There's a certain irony that Matt Damon basically describes the plot of "Syriana", a movie in which he plays a principle 'capitalist' part. In fact, that could even be construed as doubly ironic.

  • Proves that screenplay win was well deserved

  • Something better? Like..... being a $40M weapon for the CIA?

  • Wow....2.50 a gallon...

  • He has a good point lol

  • @ScarletFierce it was called out what they ARE doing now,and this was 14 years ago..lol...man its nailed to the wall whats goin on...

  • @ltuomela I think its because THEY knew lol

  • "so what do I think? I'm holding out for something better." Lol

  • yeah yeah alright jason bourne ya fuckin' hypocrite

  • POSSIBLY ONE OF THE GREATEST MONOLOGUES IN MOVIE HISTORY.

  • And the home of the brave.

  • regurgitating the faulty preachments of the typical college history professor=genius.

    hilarious.

  • Ganbertuli your a punk bitch too,i almost forgot to let ya know:)

  • Best wishes, :ChrisW8445

  • @woodycoat: You seem exactly like the douchbag with the ponytail in the clip haha hope your your proud of yourself, you picked a good place to showcase your knowledge. BITCHASS LOSER

  • Can everyone please get off their grammar Nazi high horse?!?! For fuck sakes, it's a global community now. For most people, including myself, ENGLISH WAS NOT OUR FIRST LANGUAGE!!!!

  • @woodycoat: How bout you shut up. This is just a fricken movie. I no you get all pissed off when you see it and realize "Ohh s*^t this is way better then my life could ever been like" because now your just some overweight has been who jacks off in front of his computer and bi#%h about actors in a movie that are 10 times the person you are because they do stuff with their lives. why don't you growing a pair, move out of your moms basement, do something with your life and stop being such a pompo

  • @whitefalcon0918 shut up...that is what you would like isn't it you liberal fascist. Freedom of speech only for the lefty wing! da comrade!? Actually I kinda look like Ryan Gosley. As for the latter I have my own place and a masters ...but the best part is that whenever a liberal KNOWs they lost an arguement they resort to this 'crutch' of loser in the basement or labeleing someone as racist, lol ...you couldn't POSSIBLY have an intelligent arguement about the SUBJECT could you!?

  • Comment removed

  • @woodycoat ".but the best part is that whenever a liberal KNOWs they lost an arguement they resort to this 'crutch' of loser in the basement or labeleing someone as racist, lol ...you couldn't POSSIBLY have an intelligent arguement about the SUBJECT could you!?"

Where are your intelligent arguments? Seriously.

  • @woodycoat "liberal Fascist" Someone doesn't know what either of those words mean.

  • soooo you are a liberal

  • my friend is wicked smawt

  • @manco82 im a republican but you got to admit this is pretty fucking true the world is a pretty fucked up place

  • @manco82 call it what you like, it's also a fairly accurate depiction of American foreign policy.

  • @manco82

Well, give a better description of it, then.

  • how ya like dem applez?

  • I wanna see a satire of this lampooning Damon's sophmoric liberal asssuch as:

passing along a socialist screenplay by Chinese operatives to the gay mafia in Hollywood produced by silver spoon, Ivy League, MBAs who've moved to the Silicon Valley and outsource American software and manufacturing jobs so we can get cheap iPads that play the rants of barely educated self-righteous actors who think they're smarting than the president cause but are nothing more than typical ignorant Massholes!

  • @woodycoat that was hard to read.

  • @woodycoat How can you even talk about ignorance after posting a comment like that. I consider it to be utterly ignorant to classify this screen play in political ideologies one does not know anything about. I suggest that you read some, and instead of watching Fox News go ad fontes.

  • @Ganbertuli how the "f do you know what I know? you don't ya moron. I've been around and know plenty on what I commented ...suggest you step away from your msnBS kool-aid and seek out Reuters, BBC, CNN, etc.

  • @woodycoat I'm sorry but you are evading the subject. From what you say it is highly probable that you never have read a text by a socialist teorist exempli gratia Engels. Still you claim that since you have "been around" you know enough to classify the script as socialist. I'm sorry but there is no part of the film in which they speak about economic theory whatsoever. In what way is it then socialist? Donkey's have been around for quite a while. That doesn't make them intelligent.

  • @Ganbertuli Hilarious, throw out one latin phrase learned as a SOPHMORE at my private (overrated and expensive) liberal arts college and watch 'em fold to your superior intellect ha!!! Well FYI just like an earlier segment said movie you could have gotten a better education for $1.50 in late chahhhges at the public libhhhray.

  • @woodycoat I have studied latin since the age of 13. I have two masters degrees, one in economy from LBS and one in political science from Sciences Po. Niether of those colleges are liberal. And they didn't cost me a dime since the government in my country invest in free education for all citizens.

  • @Ganbertuli

If you would read ALL the news you would know that Europe was against the Iraqi war ACTUALLY because France, Germany and Russia were owed hundreds of millions in arms deals from Saddam. With him outta power they get nada! So they push propoganda against the US (I'll remind you that evenGore and Hillary thought had WMDs). So seriously...once you ralize that all that msnBS and hollywood paints is only a third of reality, only then will you be TRULY as intelligent as you think you are.

  • @woodycoat wow, you really believe that the war in Iraq has anything to do with WMD? round of applause for you.

  • It is so inspiring to hear the political elites and their institutions being exposed for who and what they are all about. Thanks for reminding me of this great movie. It is time to see it again.

  • Why the World is fucked up. Rolled into a 2:50 monolouge. "FUCKING BRILLIANT" ISN`T EVEN CLOSE.

  • fucking brilliant!

we saw this shit comming, Orwell saw this comming... so what the fuck are we gonna do about it?

  • nice

  • man i wish gas was 2.50 a gallon haha

  • Best slap down ever. Go Matt. You are a true child of the 60's.

  • matt damon has a weird face.

  • Matt puked his lines out for the camera, excellent memory though.

  • Don't recall seeing this seen nor a couple of others here on youtube when i've seen this movie on itv2 or something twice not long ago on.

  • So fucking prophetic I don't know whether to laugh or be sick.

  • I.......LOVE.......MATT DAMON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • there are soo many inconsistencies in his extrapolation...illogical and sensational... that's all that matters in this scene. good movie though

  • Classic scene, classic movie. One of the most intelligent movies ever made.

  • my favorite monologue in the film

  • I would like to point out the fact that there is at least fifteen spelling and gramatical errors in the post below mine.

  • @BowskiBig I only got 12 ;(

  • @BowskiBig there ARE, check yourself ;)

  • @BowskiBig "there are* at least fifteen"

  • @BowskiBig Grammatical and "there are" at least fifteen.

  • @BowskiBig there are*

  • @BowskiBig lol

  • @BowskiBig And one BIG one in yours.

  • @BowskiBig I dont like gramar Nazi's..

  • @BomaBoi

    "Grammar Nazis"...sorry, I couldn't resist.

  • This is genius on so many different levels that when i first see it i had to have a little chuckle. i'd love to be that smart. sometimes i think like that but i could never put it all into words like that.

  • In my grade 10 drama class, we are doing this monologue.... It is quite clear that any person in my class is a better actor then that guy. Hes practically doing it in Italian!! >.<

    Italian-super fast with no emotion.

  • Love how Damon's reading cue cards off camera to the left. He does a great job of making it look like he's thinking things thru but, for a speech like this, use resources wisely. Bravo on the whole film, one of my faves.

  • @HalfPintPhoto didn't even notice that lool

  • @tonkacaptain this is a MOVIE, YES. Which is also considered a work of ART!! This isnt some action packed block buster. This wasnt made to make money. People think all entertainment is for profit. haha NO, people make art to express their views. The writer uses these character to express his feeling towards society. Watch the movie again and you will understand.

  • fyi. only damon went to harvard.

  • Nodding my head all the way through that monologue.

  • @happyhazelnut meaning?? what

  • @TheJasonDR Meaning that what he's saying is right on...it's how things are and people sometimes take way too long to realize it.

  • @happyhazelnut your wrong

  • @TheJasonDR Right...you're one of those people who take too long to wake up.

  • @happyhazelnut this movie is making the NSA look like some sorta evil organization...wtf....is that....those people are their to protect us....he gave up a job that would protect the U.S....what an A-hole the person who wrote that scene

  • @TheJasonDR nope not there for us just like cops they are meant to protect big bussiness. read if you did you would knw.

  • @TheJasonDR Your a blind follower. They tell you that they are there for your benefit and you fucking believe them. Saying "Oh its the government they're there to help me" But in fact all they care about is money and protecting their own asses. Will has a very serious point while you just believe what you hear. So you remeber who is acting as the fucking genius

  • @TheJasonDR Yes let's sacrifice our privileges in order to protect america and it's citizens, oh yeah and their privileges. How noble. Our forefathers would be so proud of this country, especially you Jason!

    derp

  • What a cynical guy.

  • @thenexttsar The truth is the truth.

  • @thenexttsar I know...working for the NSA is like basically working for all of america...and protecting the U.S....to decline a job at the NSA ...is to be very selfish with your talents...would he rather work for Iran or China lol

  • @thenexttsar you want cynical!!!il show you cynical!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

  • @tonkacaptain - For that matter much of what comes out of the Pentagon, the White House, and the corporate media is also fiction. And so was Uncle Tom's Cabin and The Jungle, not to mention the national myths that have formed American culture---but they sure had/have a strong social impact.

  • @ScenesMustafaFavs Fiction is Fiction - It doesn't matter where it comes from (ill informed actors, politicians who serve themselves in the name of others, or your neighbor). One of my biggest fears is that society cant think critically, cant discern headlines of a few words, or movie clips from reality. People watch clips here on Utube & have no context, or rational perspective. In a world of instant, how do you get people to think, equate, bounce contradicting ideas respectfully?

  • @tonkacaptain you do not. most people are unwilling to think for themselves because they do not want to be "uncool" in little wayne or lady gagas eyes. they are programmed by the popular media to keep our entertainment-based economy going. it is the price of being part of an empire. empires are built and maintained by slaves througout history the only difference is that nowadays the slaves are all willing but at the same time unaware. funny shit

  • @ScenesMustafaFavs F!#@in A, dude! and if some smart people like matt and ben (or harriet stowe or upton sinclair) wanna commit their time and energy to express their human conscience, maybe they're worth listening to.

it reminds me of the scene in the movie V for Vendetta where she says that "artists use lies to tell the truth, while politicians use them to cover the truth up"

  • @tonkacaptain this a truth that he's saying but the movie doesn't explore it in Act III which means it was played off, it wasn't relevant, it was chucked up to a problem with his abuse. this movie is propaganda

  • @tonkacaptain this film was scripted by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon but yes its fiction but rooted in reality - its main purpose was not money compared to say...transformers. Undoubtedly the studios don't want films to fail but that's a separate issue. I think what your missing is the fact that most of what Will says in this clip has since come true which is quite worrying. Also you'll find that fiction is very important in life- "Fiction reveals truth that reality obscures. " - Ralph Emerson.

  • @tonkacaptain Also in response to your previous post about people's lack of critical thinking. Firstly your correct to a point, these days many people are reactionary when obtaining information but where does the root cause of that come from = the Government and its Education policy or Movies ?? Secondly and sadly you should watch the "You owe it to Me" scene from this film, it shows the fact that unfortunately not everybody can be a genius we need people to build houses and lay brick etc..

  • @tonkacaptain learn how to spell chief haha

  • @tonkacaptain You know Matt Damon and Ben Affleck went to Harvard, right? They wrote this script.

  • @TheProvidet

haha ben affleck going to harvard

  • @tonkacaptain This comment is so cynical and foolish it's unreal. I reckon you didn't understand this film cos your comments sound like something Will might have said - only much less intelligent. I'd ask you one question - what is brilliant in your opinion ? You seem to want to deride everything as having a selfish (and therefore corrupt) motive. Perhaps you should read about Objectivity and rational self-interest. There are important messages in this film which can improve lives.

  • @tonkacaptain lolololol so you are brilliant TONKACAPTAIN, the person who wrote this script (Matt Damon) actually went to harvard. Where did you go?

  • @tonkacaptain I see much truth this though.

  • @tonkacaptain can't tell if you're trolling, or just plain fucking retarded

  • @tonkacaptain That doesn't change the fact that the product is good.

Or that what he says here is the truth.

If you make money with, dare I say it art, I don't have any problems with that, far from it.

What's wrong with 2 "struggling" actors wanting to make a name for themselves writing one hell of a freaking script.

It IS a brilliant scene, it IS a brilliant movie and kuddos to ScenesMustafaFavs for putting it up.

These are not your enemies, the mirror is.

  • @tonkacaptain Man your post is so ignorant. But you seem so true to your belief!! that you wish to tell us all to get a GRIP on reality. Do u realize how insane this sounds? USA war bullshit is a movie also. The lies are everywhere. This speaks more truth than the bullshit coming out of dimwitted fools who r convinced Libya was Liberated from Evil. lol. the only Evil is NATO. What the TV told me. What the newspaper told me. NO thanks. id rather what my imagination told me. Perspectives. lol.

  • @Nevawake What your imagination told you? Thats bullcrap. Your imagination deludes itself. This is just another institutionalized hollywood laundry list naming the prime evils of the world, which is bullcrap. You know its a scam used to make money and air political views, and you know that without the united states, your life would be a living hell because you'd have to work under some king that doesn't give a crap as long as you pay taxes and pay for his glittery tapshoes. Your imagination lies

  • @tornheel rrrrr your too funny. Whats bullcrap? Your Belief or mine? So your saying im deluded by my imagination yet your imagination is perfectly logical? Cough. MAN LISTEN TO YOURSELF DUDE. What the fuck im reading i cant believe its real shit. Without the USA you say! Well 4 1 thing there is a USA. Its the new Terror in the World. yeh my life is crap thanks to USA from pharmacutical ADHD drug & withdrawl that fuked my life up. Man i cant post anymore 2 you 2 explain as your BRAINWASHED..

  • @tornheel The ol PAtriotic crap hey? At school shove that crap in. Sport that crap in. TV crap it in. National Pride. The whole bang dangal christmad tree lights hey? The USA national anthem lyrics: And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air! FOR FUCK SAKE!!! ME get a grip on reality hey? fuck man your anthem is WAR. Brainwashing dude. think about it BUT id bet you cant. NAZI germany" We never knew this was happening to people" U owe over 15 Trillion$ wasting my time on u.

  • This movie was made in 1997, before Clinton signed the FREE TRADE AGREEMENTS (which sent our jobs overseas to places where people literally do work for 15 cents a day or less), and before we went into Iraq and Afghanistan (which was for big oil business special interests, if you don't know that by now you're an imbecile). Amazing accuracy.

  • @markymarkuss777 - Not to mention years before the revelations about Bush's National Guard service record.

  • @SubsistenceFox lmao the cancer that's killing YouTube?? sounds like somebody has some shrapnel in their ass xD

  • Approximate rise based from pre 9/11 and subsequent hostilities (Again previous 10 years) – 243.66%

The Current job situation in the U.S. (the off shoring of millions of jobs to lesser developed nations – resulting in very high unemployment), the above massively increasing gas prices make this scene is very relevant to the current situation. The good paying jobs these days – destination Bagdad and Kabul.

  • After 9/11 (and the resettling of gas prices after the initial major rise) – Average Gas Price – $1.52

    Approximate rise – 7.0%

After Hostilities began in Afghanistan and Iraq - Average Gas Price – $1.75 (Which was touted as an eventual lowering of Gas Prices)

    Approximate rise – 29.62%

Current Average Gas Price (Keeping in mind hostilities in these areas continue to this day) – %3.46

    (Continued)

  • Prior to Iraq’s Invasion of Kuwait – Average Gas Price – 1.02

Prior to Desert Storm Part 1 – Average Gas Price - $1.10

    Approximate rise – 7.8%

After Desert Storm Part 1 ended – Average Gas Price - $1.14

Approximate rise based from pre invasion of Kuwait and subsequent hostilities – 11.76%

    Prior to 9/11 – Average Gas Price – $1.42

Approximate rise over previous 10 years – 32.7% Percent

  • So what did i think>>?

I am holding out for something better.

  • Shoot I remember when gas was like 80 cents. a gallon. lol

  • @ModifiedEvelyn

And you're basing that astute observation on what, Captain Dickcrunch?

  • You're all tools. Yes, he says this very eloquently and he deserves a prize for his ability to string a story together. But it's just that. A story.

  • I would kill for gas to cost 2.50 a gallon right now

  • @sylon21 Would you really kill for that?

We need to realize the way we speak and talk. We need to be more aware of language and communication. I certainly hope you would not kill for a dollar off a gallon of gas because if you would that's sad and evil. Yes I'm sure it's just an expression but I can think of a much better way of expressing your angst.

I would kick the shit out of the BP/Exxon ceo for cheaper gas or maybe kick Bush's balls up his throat.

  • @RyanLovesReds Don't you have anything better to do? Ok, let's never exaggerate again.

  • @Hellcaller92 No.

  • @sylon21 no shit..lol thats what I was thinking too.

  • ssoooooo true !!!

  • 4 people have shrapnel in their ass.

  • @Lexus2121 Fuck off.

  • @SubsistenceFox - Good luck with your programming; I hope I get to interview you one day.

  • @Lexus2121 Thanks, though I'll probably be self-employed. Anyway, please, don't contribute to the cancer that is killing YouTube by posting those shitty (number of dislikes) people (reference to the video) comments.

  • $2.50 a gallon? Those were the days ...

  • @alphakid42 Lol, no shit. That'd be paradise these days.

  • He then skipped the NSA and became Bourne.

  • does he even breath?

  • And my parents wonder why I NEVER want to work for the military or the government...
