Nope, Simon's Quest was much funner and less stiff than the other Castlevania game up to IV.

It was just different, and I don't know why that upsets some fans, but it, along with Zelda 2, took the series in a direction beyond what was expected of a sequel, and made for a new (at the time) experience. Linearity is only fun for so many times, it feels good to do things your own way in a game whenever it's possible.

Arround the age of 11 or 12 i got simons quests. I had no tips or cheats or any 1 who could help me. And yes I've finished the game

THe best part that i remember was that I was sneaky playing past bedtime somewhere in the night and suddenly found the whirlwind to take me further. I had like a super adriline kick lol.

But i loved simons quest.

Getting further is rewarding and the jumping was fine really.

1: Super cool, everything good.

2: You would think: Wtf am I playing??? this isn't like number 1??? but it is real good if you dont think 'Super Mario Bros.' because it is a real good game.

3: It is pretty hard but also one of the best

Actually, you're not sent to the beginning of Dracula's stage if you die, but you ARE sent to the very annoying last dungeon part before, which is still pretty cheap. At least it's like that in the EU version.

if you dont like castlevania 2, thats fine, but dont say anything bad about how much effort they put into it. im sure that Konami put A LOT of effort in it as always (except for the top gun games) . but Konami was probably used to making action games like Contra and Life Force but not used to non-linear adventure games like Zelda. the game is a real callenage but with enough pratice it can be beaten. I beat the game by studying the patterns of everything in the game. Once you get used to it. its not that hard to play.It took me about 4 or 5 months to beat it. After it came out in the stores. I really enjoyed the game. I still remember it to this day.
