they just sounded bad there because it was very out of their element. the sound was horrible and there wasnt hardly any reverb on either of their vocals and the drums werent mic'd correctly.

put any band in that situation and they will all sound like shit.

ive seen them live twice and both times they were amazing.

its just a differnt kind of atmosphere when they play compared to other bands.

No. He's good regardless. The video of them on the Daily Habit doesn't prove shit. Why would they use their vocal cords to their potential at every show they play when they're on tour? Think about it..if they wanted to sound like the album, they could do it, but if they did that, their vocals would start to wear out and wouldn't be able to do the other shows they were to play.
