Didnt do such a good job sealing the plentums, bike made like 2 lbs of boost, guy he sold it to had no clue, turbo was basically for looks, and he knew it made shit for boos and leaked air like crazy...

@Ryknfjor Yea he had to do a shit ton of work to seal all the air leaks, he said it was at most making 5lbs of boost, since he fixed it it makes a ton more, he is a member of 1000rr.net so was this guy... the new owner did a good job fixing it and making good numbers on the dyno

@Slitripper5000 wow that sucks- good of the new owner to fix it. a lot of people dont realize how much is involved with making a bike turboed and what exactly is a turbo doing in the first place. if i could just get my hands on a stock one for super cheap id be happy enough...

@eFFdRacing I actually sold the bike a month ago. Oil return I ran a RB Racing oil pump and plumbed 8AN line from the turbo to the pump and just pumped it into the oil fill. Fuel mods I had a PCV and SFM, I would do a AEM FIC if I was to do it again

@OceanStateTuning gotta question, did you match up the turbo with the engine using proper finger print mapping, cfm air rates, rpm, displacement, psi and such? or did you just get one that was available time and price wise? and how much did it cost all said and done, and how about HP/TQ figures on a dyno or your honest guesstimation? thanks

This might sound retarded, but i've always wondered about turbos on bikes, do they just replace the area where the downpipes are? :S

@groome1320 Kinda sorta, you make a shorter version of the header and put the turbo in there then a single downpipe the rest of the way

Thats freakin sweet, wish i had the knowledge to make a turbo set up like that on my cbr1000. (Last time, i checked didnt see any kits). Its hard to see in the video but did you have to mod or change your air box to handle the extra boost?

I bet it took you more time to get all those fairings off lmao... dope ass set up... you pushing psi lower than 8? or did you go up farther than that and changed pistons/compression?

@ironmb86 Ha yeah the first time on these bikes is a pain but even harder then that was fitting all this extra crap under stock plastics!!!! Max PSI is about 8 but I have Snow Performance Meth kit on there for a little added safety... I am hoping someone comes out with some aftermarket pistons for these new bikes soon!
